Olivia Beach (located in Nelscott) is central Oregon coast's newest traditional community and was recently rated as a top vacation destination by Sunset Magazine. The house was purchased as a second home and not necessarily as a rental. As a result, no expense was spared on the furnishings and decor. The home's name 'Sine Qua Non' is Latin and means 'something absolutely indispensible or essential.' It is also the name of one of our wine producers.
Although not on the beach, the beach is only a 5 minute walk using the community's private beach access, or 10-15 minute walk using the public access. The sound of the surf is prominent from the house and many nights are spent sitting in the Jacuzzi listening to the waves.
Nelscott offers some of the finest surfing along the Oregon coast and is home to the famous Nelscott Reef (tow-in) Surf Classic.
