  Don & Jane not only made this an easy condo to book, but also have set their unit up for a very comfortable stay. It is a very nicely appointed condo in a quiet, beautiful ocean-front and GROUND-LEVEL unit with all the right stuff. Just step off the lanai and you are on the lawn. The pool is right there, and the ocean just beyond that. They have also provided nice pots, pans, utensils, etc (not the usual 'rental grade' you usually find) making cooking a pleasure. They have thought of everything in setting up this unit for an easy, pleasurable stay. On top of that, they are lovely people to deal with. The unit was exactly as described and totally immaculate. It was spotless when we arrived and easy to keep clean and still live in. Parking is also very easy (and FREE!) very close to the front door. The farmer's market is very walkable, and a large supermarket (Times) and just right up the road. We will be back to this gem.

  We had a wonderful week in Maui. The condo was so comfortable. Staying on the ground floor was better than we thought it could be with the convenience of being able to walk out and check on the turtles that we would see every day just over the sea wall. We didn't know we would have a front row seat to watch the whales everyday. The beach next door had easy access. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Honokowai is within 10 to 15 min of all the places we usually go to. The time market is just a few blocks down the road. I was surprised that the food prices weren't that bad. We didn't need to fight the crowds at Costco. We bought fish from the small local fish market. They even prepped it with our choice of seasoning. Of all the dinners we had, I liked it the best sitting on the lani watching the whales and sunset. Don Duwe the owner was very nice, and helpful to deal with. He answered all my emails and calls in a timely manner. When we go back again to Maui some day soon, I hope Don's home is available.

  We wanted a condo right on the ocean and with a great view and we found it. This condo was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The sunset view was the most amazing I have ever seen right from our ground floor lanai. The snorkeling in front was better than the tour we booked. Tropical fish and Sea Turtles everywhere. Centrally located so its an easy commute to just about anywhere. We found that grilling some fresh local fish steaks and fillets and eating on the lanai was magical. Due to a tropical storm in Orlando, our flight was cancelled and we needed to stay an extra day and the owner, Don, was very easy to work with and immediately available by phone to help us. The location is perfect, because its an easy drive to Kaanapali, Lahaina or Kapalua. We kept super busy with Zip Lining (Kapalua Adventures), Horseback Riding (Lahaina Stables), Helicopter (Sunshine) and the Sharaton Black Rock Luau. We also did a snorkeling adventure (Lanai Dolphin Super Rafts) but I honestly feel the snorkeling right in front of the condo was better and more convenient. We did see a pod of dolphins on the adventure though which was fantastic. This was our 20th wedding anniversary and we returned because we honeymooned in Maui. We had a great time re-living our younger days. I guarantee we are not waiting another 20 years to return and when we do, this condo will be our first choice. Thank You! Don, your condo made this the best vacation we have ever had.

  Just a note to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at your condo. Your condo is delightful, so clean and well equipped with everything we could ask for. We used the beach chairs and the cooler on several occasions. In our opinion we couldn’t have asked for a better location to be in; we both agree that if one is going to vacation in a warm tropical place you have to be right there where you can watch the goings on of the sea. I love the sound of the ocean and we spent many hours watching the whales and turtles, and just gazing at the ocean from the lanai and watching the sunsets. We kept ourselves pretty busy most of the time; went running just about every morning either just up the road or over at Kanapali; went sailing on the America II; took Stand Up Paddle board lessons (loved it, it’s just my speed); went snorkeling every other day ; took a drive up to the Olivine Pools and the Nakalele Blow Hole (both amazing sights); hiked the Waihee Ridge Trail. We definitely needed more time. Thanks so much for your lovely condo and all your help. And to Jane, we noticed your paintings – lovely.

  We stayed here last December for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier! The unit is well-kept, the kitchen is stocked with more supplies than anywhere I've stayed (and I love to cook so tend to be picky), the views were amazing. Loved watching the sea turtles swimming by and riding the waves in the mornings! Also loved that I could walk down the steps over to the beach. You can hear the ocean at night from the bedroom, which is great. Also, there's a farmer's market just across the street and down about a half a block, three mornings a week, so we were able to buy fresh island produce to cook with! You're a short drive from Kaanapali, so you have access to many restaurants and so forth while being able to stay at a nice, quiet oceanside getaway. The building is only three stories so it's relatively quiet. Owners were friendly and easy to work with. We hope to return soon and will recommend this place to others.

  I rented this condo for 10 days in August 2010, it was perfect for two people. The whole wall facing the ocean is glass so you immediately are in awe of the setting. You literal are steps from the ocean and you get a daily visit from three sea turtles. Being from Ohio, I was more than a little skeptical about the lack of air conditioning, but as Don said there was absolutely no need for it with the cool winds blowing at night. Our time there was the perfect way to spend our honeymoon, we loved it and would recommend this property. We were looking for some place that was not in the middle of everything and this property was just right. It is however within a very short drive of more populated resorts, if that's your thing. Don was first class in his treatment and he even called once we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  If you are looking for a very clean, comfortable, and terrifically outfitted condo...on the water with knockout views...then this unit is for you. Excellent kitchen with everything you could ever need...Cable TV, stereo, Wifi, local phones, close to everything....yet quiet and secluded. I have stayed all over Maui....and I am definetly returning. It is everything I have described and a super value too! And the owners are very informative, and a pleasure to deal with.

  We wanted to spend our 25th wedding anniversary somewhere special and we found the ideal place in Maui at this outstanding property. The view of the ocean and nearby islands were incredible. The condo was well kept and the property was immaculate. We experienced snokling for the first time and it was beyond our expectations, the sea turtles were amazing as well as the under water sea life. The owners were great to deal with and very cooperative and represented the property and experience very accurate. We cannot wait to return again some day and will not wait another 25 years.

  Condo was very clean and well maintained. Sunset view directly out the back patio door was nice. Property grounds also well kept and very clean. Nice quiet location, great place for R&R. Owners very pleasant and helpful from booking to extent of stay. Definitely recommended place to stay.

  Lovely condo right on the water. Well equiped kitchen if you want to eat in. Loved the evening shell blowing. Everyone made us feel very at home!!! This is not a beach front property if that is what you are looking for but there was always plenty of lounge chairs around the pool. Loved the ground floor making easy access to everything!!! We would rent this unit again if we ever make it back to Maui!!!

  Owner response: The location is waterfront as close as you can get. The pool, the condo, and grounds does sit above the beach and is elevated about six feet above the ocean. It does make for a very nice view. This person may not have expected a bulkhead, but most west facing condos this close to the ocean do have bulkheads to protect the property from the ocean waves. You will find it very pleasent.
