At first as you are driving up to the location, you may be a little skeptical. It's off the beaten path, but, the location is perfect, right on the beach and our room (Sunset Room) was incredible. You can't lay on the beach here, but there are several beaches close by. The home has a very private hot tub and it was great to go to the local beaches and come back in the evening and get in the hot tub. Joy and Dave are great hosts! Great restaurants nearby. We love this place. We left the Condado area of San Juan and went here for a little more laid back time. It was so worth it!!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

This place is lovely!!! The listing description and pictures are very accurate. We rented the entire house (3 separate units with their own entrances and bathrooms) which was very clean and full of charming details. Joy was very informative and helpful when we had questions about the area, beaches, places to hang out, etc. In the area, we visited Kaplash for lunch and the English Rose for breakfast; both highly recommended. We also hung out at "El Timbiriche" bar (less than a mile away from Amirage) which had a pool table and jukebox available...good times!!! It was a bit dissapointing that the beach @ Amirage was too rocky for swimming, we would've preferred a place where we wouldn't have to drive to the beach.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

What a fabulous property, only outdone by the hospitality of the owners David and Joy! Trying to select a property for a week long Christmas vacation for a family party of 3 generations, that included 5 Seniors, 3 Adults and 4 small children, was quite a challenge. We needed plenty of room for this large group to spread out to relax and room to come together for daily events such as mealtime. We needed to be on the beach for the children and near the golf course for some in the group. We wanted to wake to a sunrise off our balacony with a cup of coffee and lucky for this property location we also got the sunset from the same seat on the balcony. If you want the perfect location for a family vacation, this is the property for you. The property also is designed so you could just rent one of the two bedroom accomodations, or the one bedroom. Perhaps, the two of us should leave the kids home with the grandparents and run off for a long weekend to take advantage of the partial villa accomodation. :-)
