Loved the resort and the room was great. It was very nice to have the beach right outside and beach chairs and towels included. Lazy river and pool were great too. The room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The coffeemaker and microwave could use an upgrade and the owners said they were planning some renovations soon. Would definitely stay there again.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Pelican Grand. Photos of the property were accurate. Facilities were clean and well-maintained. Owner was great to work with. I especially enjoyed the exceptionally comfortable bed which contributed to a good night's sleep each night! I only ate in the restaurant once but the food was good and service outstanding. Very much enjoyed being able to sit outdoors ocean-side and enjoy dinner. The pool, lazy river, and nice beach sand look ideal for families with young children. I have already recommended this property to family members with small children. I would recommend Seasons 52 Restaurant at the Galleria Mall.

What's better than waking up every morning listening to the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach? Throw in the complete package of impecible service and excellent food and it was exactly what we needed in the way of a wonderful get-a-way. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be going back.

We loved the Pelican Grand and this unit. The room was clean, comfortable and, of course, the view is spectacular. The owners allowed us to extend our stay at the last minute by a few hours until we needed to leave for the airport. It was nice not to have to rush out of the room and wait around in the hotel until our flight. We would book this place again next time we are traveling to the area.

We were there celebrating my fathers 90th birthday. We had a total of ten rooms at the resort and everyone remarked how great everything was. Upon check in we were greeted by Alex who set the tone for the weekend. He took our luggage and gave us a guide of the resort. The room was clean spacious and perfect for our needs. All the employees were accommodating, any need was met with a yes we can and a smile. We will be back.

I recently stayed at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort and rented via owner instead of the hotel this year. What a smart choice!! You get all the perk of the hotel but for less $! The Pelican Grand is stunning and our unit had 2 kings beds, a living room and a balcony that overlooked the ocean.

The most beautiful resort and the most confortable bed. Resort employees very polite and friendly. They made me feel special. We enjoyed every minute in this beautiful paradise. The room is so pretty, clean and big that it was a dream to be there. I felt better than my own home. I wanted to stay there longer. Gus, the owner of the unit was always in contact with me. He wanted to make sure I had a wonderful time. He did it. He made it possible. He gave me confidence and trust. Thank you Gus again.

Mary & Gus, Our stay in your lovely unit at Pelican Grand was WONDERFUL! The room was exactly what we were looking for! VERY comfortable! The oceanfront balcony was the best view! The only thing that caught us by surprise was that the $28 per day valet parking was the ONLY option (unless you could find a place on the street and "feed the meter"). The valets were really great, though, and very helpful with information about the area. We just misunderstood that it was the only way to park - not a big deal. This gave us a much needed rest coming back from Peru after 2 weeks of mission work! Muchos Gracias! I would recommend your unit to our friends and family! Everything in this place was wonderful...of course the view was just wonderful! The front desk staff and the house staff whom we called to replace our TV remote control were very attentive.

We were so impressed with this condo and resort. The condo is spacious and others have said you will want to bring the beds home in your suitcase, they are so comfortable! The view from the balcony is priceless, Equally we were just as impressed with the resort. We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and decided not to rent a car, its a $30 taxi ride from the airport and they will gladly wait while you put in any carseats, we did not leave the resort for the 5 days we were there! Partly because we didn't want to take the carseats to dinner and also because we didn't have to, everything we needed was on site. The food in the resort is really impressive, we ate mostly at the pool bar but also at the restaurant and my husband and I ordered room service to eat on the balcony while the kids were sleeping one night. All were excellent. The pool is perfect, I do not believe it was too small at all like some have said. Its also ideal for small children also because they can wade in. But the lazy river was the big hit with my four year old, he would have gone round and round for a week if he could have! Working with Gus was great and we appreciated a late check out on our last day. We arrived early in the morning on our first day, be sure to pack a separate beach bag in your suitcase intended for a day at the beach or pool if you are arriving early, they will look after your luggage and you are free to use the all facilities. The beach is also beautiful (except for finding ourselves swimming with a shark one day but that's another story)! The service across the whole hotel was welcoming and refreshing, and we appreciated the handouts of fresh fruit everyday. We will be back!

Just got back from a lovely holiday in this apartment. Extremely convenient location, comfortable beds, all amenities needed and a view to die for! You can feel you are at the beach without even having to go downstairs , just seating outside in the balcony makes you feel you are already there. The staff were very polite and helpfull and the pool, lazy river and deck chairs at the beach made life easier for our family (2 adults and 3 small children) The kids just loved the lazy river and would spend hours there..giving us, parents the chance to watch them whilst enjoying a daikiri at the pool. Thanks Gus and Mary for everything. We hope to enjoy the apartment again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pelican. The view was amazing from the balcony. The king size beds were extremely comfortable. It was a great set up for our family. Our boys had a great time at the pool and beach. The pool attendant made sure they had plenty of toys, floats, and balls to play with while we spent our time at the pool. All of the hotel employees we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider staying there in the future if we find ourselves in Fort Lauderdale again.

We loved the Pelican Grand! Our room was clean and a great layout, with very nice, renovated bathroom. The two king size beds were much more comfortable that our bed at home, and having the extra sitting/living area with fridge/microwave was great! Having kids, we could eat breakfast and lunch in our room and go out for dinner which really saved a lot of $. The view was beautiful and sunrise worth waking up for! The hotel staff was amazing and offered a greeting and smile whenever we passed, making us feel very welcome. Every afternoon, the staff also offered everyone at the pool/beach a snack (watermelon, popsicles...) I thought that was very nice! The beach is beautiful and most of our time was spent either there or in the lazy river. The pool is a bit small, so we didn't use that very often, but the river and beach made up for it. We really took advantage of the ice cream parlor in the lobby, happy hour specials and sitting on the beautiful veranda. One downside was having to pay each day for valet parking, though when you did call for the car it was always there in front within a few minutes and the other was the lack of internet connection from the room. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it!

Absolutely amazing.the room and view are just beautiful. We felt like royalty staying there, we didnt even have to open our own car doors!!! The staff and valet guys were so attentive. The pictures are very accurate, however the unit is bigger than it appears on pictures.It was a little pricier than some resorts, but you get what you pay for. Its your vacation after all, treat yourself!! I will definately go there to stay again when i return to Fort Lauderdale. My best memory is having breakfast served on the patio overlooking the water(not the street,as with the other resorts).just a purely amazing place to be. congrats to the owners, you should try to spend as much time as possible there and enjoy it as we have. Thank you for everything.

"Great Gem"

We stayed at the Pelican on our Spring Break for 5 nights, this was our third visit here and we will be back again. Our condo was on the 5th floor directly on the ocean, perfect view, table and chairs on the deck to enjoy the ocean. Condo was very spacious microwave and small refrigerator in room was very useful. Hotel food is very good but pricey, many great restaurants in the area, but will need a car or cab to get to. Service was great, hotel staff very friendly and always willing to assist us. We love the Pool here and the kids love the Lazy River, very relaxing, the ocean and weather was perfect too, sunny and high 80s everyday. Great Resort, great Condo and the best Weather, will always return. Only complaint is lack of parking, Valet only and very expensive.

Amazing Vacation at Pelican Grand Resort

My daughter and I came to the Pelican Grand Resort for a girls getaway spring break. We had an amazing time...the resort was beautiful..the pool and lazy river was so relaxing...and our room was perfect! We loved the food and ate almost every meal at the resort since we didn't have a rental car. It was very easy getting a taxi if we did go out for the evening they were usually parked at the entry to the resort and would pull right up to get us.( I recommend taking the "water taxi" for an outting the captain is so funny and takes you by all the rich and famous homes.) I like the taxi better that the resorts transportation I felt it was a little less expensive since the resort transportation charged per person. We ate all( but 2 meals) at the resort everything we ate was delicious...we especially liked the pool side menu the steak nachos were fantastic! Our room had an amazing ocean view and it was decorated beautifully! We would love to return again soon and would highly recommend this resort to our friends and family. Also, Gus and Mary thank you for such an easy check in and allowing us to stay in your beautiful room at the Pelican Grand...we will be back!!!

A Lovely Place, A Lovely Week

We just returned from a week at the Pelican Grand. It is GRAND and RIGHT ON THE BEACH. We took advantage of the balcony for: watching the sunrise, mornings soaking up the sun, afternoons watching the waves roll in, evenings we enjoyed the lights on the boats out in the ocean, nights we could see the moon illuminating a path across the ocean right to the beach in front of us, and all day and night we listened to the waves breaking on the beach. The room was perfect with a separate bedroom and comfortable sitting with a small table to play cards on in the living room. Vacations are great for eating out (and we did), but it was really nice to have the fridge and microwave. The owners were very professional with responding to my email and setting up our reservations with the hotel. The beach is beautiful, and the water was clear and warm. The pool and lazy river were well heated. Don't miss 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour, and be sure to spend some time in the rocking chairs on the porch. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation, so thank you for sharing your gem with us.

Our best experience in Florida

The oceant fron room in this resorts is right on the sea, with incredible views at any moment. We saw incredible sunrises and beatiful moonlights. I think the room was better than the pictures in the web. The room is enormous and have all we needed including microwave oven, refrigerator, and a table perfect for breakfast or light meals in the room. It was very clean and well maintained. The resort all is new and clean, we felt good in the beach, pool, bar and dining in the terrace is a very romantic experience. All personnel is very kind and friendly (the brazilian team dealing with the cars are very special guys). The owner was very gentle and help us to make a sure an easy contract. I absolutely recommend this property and we are planning to return. Boulevard Las Olas is a good complement if you are looking for any reason to leave for some hours this paradise.

We LOVED staying in your unit. The view was so beautiful thru all the windows facing the ocean. The unit has lots of space and was very comfortable. The staff was great from the front desk to the guys working the beach chairs. We actually never left the resort the entire stay there. The food was outstanding. Our only complaint would be the food and store items are a little pricey. Besides that, we have no complaints. Thanks for a great start to our new year. Randy

My wife and I would like to express our extreme satisfaction with our recent stay at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort from September 29 thru October 3rd. We were just looking to get away for some rest and relaxation at a nice place and we were lucky enough to find the Pelican Grand. This was our first trip ever, to the resort but you can be sure it will not be our last. The front desk, was extremely courteous, friendly and informative. We were checked in with no problems. In fact one evening when we had a question and needed advise about Fort Lauderdale and getting around we were assisted with accuracy by a gentleman at your front desk. We had a number of dining experience at the resort. Thursday evening our server was Townsend. She walked us through the entire dinner menu, making wonderful suggestions. This dinner was probably one of our best during our stay. Each course was delicious from the Seafood Bisque down to the dessert. While Townsend was serving us she gave us some real helpful ideas of what to do while we were staying in Fort Lauderdale. And all around we found Townsend to be incredible at making our dinner that evening so much fun. During the beach front Sunday Brunch, We were impressed with the great food and service. While sitting by the pool every day we were taken care From Towels to food and drink we never had to worry about any of them. They were always taken care of. Every day at 1:00 they would always come over to all by the pool and offer a cool snack from Ice pops to watermelon. Nice Effect! As far as the resort was concerned we found the room to immaculate, gorgeous, spacious and all in all probably one of the most beautiful places to wake up in the morning. The view of the water, beach and sunrise was stunning. All the room amenities were top class from the comfort of the bed to the layout of the bathroom. The umbrella and Lounge chairs on the beach were an excellent touch. The whole resort was gorgeous from the lobby to the room we stayed in. The next time we are in Fort Lauderdale there is only one place we will stay and that is at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We have and will continue to highly recommend this resort to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will see you again.

Con mi esposo y 3 hijos de 7,5 y 3 años pasamos 5 días maravillosos. El resort es hermoso,está sobre la playa!! En el cuarto estaba todo impecable, sinceramente era mucho más de lo que nosotros esperabamos!! Los chicos estaban enamorados del lugar, igual que nosotros. Nos gusto todo: que esté sobre la playa, el servicio de toallas y hamacas y la amplitud y limpieza del cuarto es lo más destacable. la comida del restaurant es muy buena! y la gente es muy amable y cálida. Es altamente recomendable!! Si viajo a Fort Lauderlade nuevamente, no dudaré en contactarme con Mary y Gus.

Owner response: My husband and I along with my three children ages: 5, 7, and 3 spent five wonderful days in this unit. The resort is beautiful and right on the beach! Everything in the room was perfect, honestly it was much more than we expected! The boys were in love with the place, just like us. We liked everything about it: the wonderful beach location, the towels, and the sunbeds service. The most remarkable thing was how clean and spacious the room was. The meals at the restaurant were excellent! And people are very friendly and warm. I highly recommend it! If I travel to Fort Lauderdale again, I will not hesitate to contact Mary and Gus.

This was our first time stay at the Pelican Grand Resort and we absolutely loved it. The room was very nice, spacious and comfortable loved that it had the extra living room area for sit downs at night. My kids loved the lazy river. The front desk was very professional on our arrival and the valet employees were great too. It was a very nice experience and stay. We will be renting next summer.

I don't even know where to begin to tell you just what a great stay we had at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort!!!! I will start with the beautiful room. The view of the ocean was wonderful. We didn't use the balcony at all since the view was so great from the 3 windows with air conditioning. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room was away from other rooms which made it extremely quiet. The service at the Resort was wonderful and very accomodating!!! Everything was very clean & fresh. We didn't eat at the Resort but walked to Shooters where we had fresh seafood at a reasonable price. A nice Walgreens, CVS and Winn Dixie were all within walking distance. Nous avons grandement apprécié ce séjour. Grande chambre et vue imprenable sur l'océan avec facilités (petit frigo., micro onde). Bon service valet parking, réception et surtout plage avec chaise, parasol et serviette nous attendant. Édifice non-fumeur de A à Z. Nous n'avons pas trouvé ça incommodant d'aller à l'extérieur de la bâtisse puisqu'on le fait déjà à la maison. Nous y retournerons sûrement.

We loved staying at this hotel. Very elegant but still comfortable and laid back. Staff was always helpful when we needed help with transportation choices or off site restaurant choices. The beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, I didn't want to get up. Beach is beautiful, with plenty of chairs with umbrellas and towels. Food was outstanding as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ft. Lauderdale.

Everything was great and the staff at the hotel was very nice and accommodating. My girlfriend's tooth was killing her at 2:00 AM and we didn't have any dental floss. I callled the front desk and obviously they said the gift shop was closed, but they really went above and beyound when they told me to come on down anyway. They opened up the shop and then just billed me the next morning. It was nice to have a place that was quiet and little bit away from the action. We are "late night" people, but it was nice to be able to "escape" from it when we wanted to. While it was a family type resort with quite a few kids running around, it was never bothersome and the place is large enough that you can find your own space out on the beach anyway. Mary and Gus were great to work with the whole time and even gave me their cell number in case I had any issues, but I never had to use it.

We loved our visit to your unit and the Pelican. Your unit is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the beautiful view. Our expectations were completely satisfied. We just got back home on the weekend after a busy couple of weeks in Florida. Our accommodations at the Pelican Grand were great. The unit was clean, spacious and very comfortable for a family of 4. My kids particularly enjoyed the lazy river and the pool - very clean and well maintained. The location (on the beach) was also perfect and it was pretty close to the Sawgrass Mill Mall :-). The staff at the front desk, those responsible for the parking, the guys at the pool and on the beach there were all great! > > I would definitely recommend your unit at The Pelican Grand to my friends and when I find myself headed that way again, I will definitely be in touch! > > Thanks for everything.

The condo has a great view of the ocean from the 5th floor as well as a balcony that overlooks the pool and the lazy river. ALL of the staff on the property are friendly and willing to help as much as possible. The room was clean with everything that we needed for the 5 nights that we were there. The restaurants, ice cream parlor and pool were all favorites for my husband and our two small children. None of us wanted to leave. This was our second stay in 3 months and are most likely going to return withing the next year.

We had an amazing time. The unit was perfect for our family of 5. Plus my 18 year niece joined us and the extra room was ideal as it gave her a little privacy. Everyone at the front desk was great and very helpful. We will definitely return and will contact you for sure. Thank you very much. It was our best family vacation and the kids loved the lazy river and pool...and the ice cream place.

Great Spring Break with our 2 college age kids

We stayed Sunday through Thursday for Spring Break and the Pelican Grand Resort and room were great. Having a separate sitting area allowed our College kids some late night time while the wife and I got our sleep. We walked the beach every morning and night. It was awesome. My only complaint is we charted a boat and went deep sea fishing...awesome, but the hotel dining room wouldn't cook the fish the crew filleted for us. No matter - a restaurant in town cooked them up for us. Gus and Mary the room was great. Thank you for helping keep the family ties strong as both kids are in college and this let mom and I spend quality time with them!

As I mentioned in my reservation, I found your properties by accident and low and behold, you had the exact days/nights available that we were coming sandwiched in between being booked solid. We had never been to Fort Lauderdale and wanted a relaxing mom's getaway and your Standard King Oceanfront exceeded our expectations! The view was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, the room was plenty big enough for 2 of us, the staff goes above and beyond (even resolving some unexpected mishaps out anyone's control), the beach access steps away and beach service, the food, happy hour, etc, etc, etc was all fabulous! Upon sending pics back home to my kids, they made me promise to take them soon, so this won't be the last time I make a reservation with you!!

My husband and I just returned home from Fort Lauderdale today, where we were fortunate enough to stay in your beautiful unit at Pelican Grande for 3 nights, We had an awesome time and found your unit to be very comfortable, we loved it! We were very impressed with the accommodations, the valet staff (especially Alex), the front desk staff...we loved it!!! All in all, everything exceeded our expectations and hopefully we will return to the Fort Lauderdale area and will be able to use your unit again at the Pelican Grande.

This suite was excellent -- ahuge room large enough for two King beds PLUS a sitting room and blacony overlooking the beach. The Pelican Grand is an excellent property overall.

Dealing with Gus is great--as easy as making a hotel reservation. His suite is terrific--the 2 king beds make it great for families, with space in the "living room" too. Great view from the balcony. The property is terrific too--one of the few hotels right on the beach (vs. across busy a1a) with a beautiful terrace overlooking the beach and a (very) heated pool and lazy river. The staff at the hotel is terrrific as well. If you are staying in Ft. Lauderdale, rent this place--you won't regret it. This is my second year renting from Gus and both trips were great!

We had a great experience in Ft. Lauderdale. Our stay in your unit at the Pelican Grand was exquisite. The room accommodations were exactly as promised - very large and spacious.......yet very cozy and comfortable at the same time. The view was phenomenal. What an excellent time to visit when the lobby and city were decorated for the holiday season. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and towel service were an added bonus. What a nice feature and a great logistic that we didn't have to worry about! So glad that we found you! Thanks again. Everything was just perfect!
