Large 1914 guest home. Close to downtown, coffee shops, restaurants, mall, Convention Center, Rose Quarter and much more. A walk in this neighborhood is charming, and at different times of the year offers a tour of the historic neighboring homes.
This has a shared kitchen and bathrooms, but kept very clean. I do have one private bedroom with its own bathroom and private deck. Houses built in this neighbor hood around late 1800's on.

The Unique Benefits at this House
I enjoy the closeness of the businesses, the coffee shops, the wonderful different places to eat all within a nice walk from the house.
This is a small shopping center only 4 blks from my home.
A wonderful block of great restaurants and coffee shops, many shops with local talent in jewelry, art and dress shops.
This in very close to the house also and is a great place for eating, shopping and a glass of great beer.
This mall has about all you need. A Cinema, Skating rink, See's Candy.
Or. convention center is the largest in the N.W. making it an ideal venue for industry trade shows, meetings and banquets.
Has world class concerts, family shows, sports, and venue information for arena.
Bus 8 stops just across the street from my house and will take you to where you can catch the MAX train. About 15 mins to town and the MAX will take you to the airport, which is about 30 mins on train

I came to Portland so that my children could go to college, little did I know at the time I would be renting out rooms in this lovely neighbor hood. Now the children have finished college and most are gone. I have meet the nicest people by sharing this lovely old home.

I have stayed here twice and each time I have enjoyed the room, the privacy, interaction with other guests when I wanted it and the guidance about the area that Carol provides. It is clean, quiet and reasonably priced. There is a bus stop just across the street and as far as I know a zip car on the other corner if you need it.You are centrally located to all sorts of shopping, restaurants, and neighborhoods either by bus, walking or car. Also, staying at this guest house provides an opportunity to see Historic Irvington. I recently had several friends from out of town come and stay with me while I was at the guest house and I am sure that more friends will stay there in the future. I highly recommend a stay at this property.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.
