A magical place, huge two-property estate, Charlie the owner was cordial, very keen to detail upon checkout and quite respectful of mother-nature ? I would rent it again in a heart beat and below are the specs as I encountered in my experience... Front House: -Bedrooms: 4 -Loft: 1 (Huge poker room w/red carpet as seen in photos) -Restrooms: 4 (Including giant walk-in master) Guest House: -Bedrooms: 3 -Loft: 1 -Restrooms: 2 As we experienced it the estate has 9 bedrooms (including lofts) but various locations where pullouts or space was available to sleep a couple of people. (i.e. area behind pool table and walk in washroom w/ a pullout) Aside from the details of the Jacuzzi not heating up past room temperature and this estate being 3.1 miles from Mandalay Bay not 2, everything was lovely. I recommend you have your guest bring some air mattresses, towels and toiletries. Other than that, enjoy the buzz of having a house full of guest only $15-$20 taxi ride away from the fabulous city of lights. Thanks Charlie!Did you find this review helpful? This place was perfect for our family trip to Vegas for Thanksgiving. We cooked a huge meal, set up tables outside near the pool and everyone had a great time. One of the better family thanksgivings in memory. The location was pefect for trips to the strip, a day trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam and hikes in Red Rock Canyon. There's lots to do, it's in a location easy to navigate and not far from the airport making it very easy for multiple arrivals and departures. There were so many bedrooms and places to sleep, everyone easily agreed what the sleeping arrangements should be and I never had to wait for a turn in a bathroom. And Charlie is a great host. I would definately go back and stay at this property again! THANKS Charlie!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Outstanding location for a family vacation in Las Vegas but away from the strip (3miles). We had plenty of room for the 10 of us and had over 20 folks over (could have fit 50 in the back patio area) for dinner on Thanksgiving. We did go to the strip one evening but it was nice that we did not have to stay there. We also had a chance to visit the dam and grand canyon west rim which was only a 3 hour drive. Also visited red rock canyon just west of our location. Plenty of shops and stores nearby which made it all seem like a home vacation but not a crowded hotel experience. And of course Charlie the owner was outstanding, Whatever we needed he was there and even was able to helped us out with special event discount tickets. Overall a 5 star location and experience.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+.

This is a great place! We had our entire family from three states come to Las Vegas and stay at this estate. We had plenty of space and the kids had a great time with the lovely grounds and particularly the putting green and pool. We found more than ample space for our family of 27 people including kids and there were blankets, pillows and towels to make everyone comfortable. We have already recommended to our friends and hope to be back soon to enjoy Vegas from this wonderful hideout just 2 miles off the strip. This property has plenty of room to accommodate a large group and is conveniently located a very short drive away from the Strip. This is the second time myself and my party have stayed here; Charlie is very nice and accomodating. We used the house for a photography/video project and we had a lot of space to rig our lighting, green screens, etc. The wedding reception room was great for these projects. The outdoor spaces and pool are very pretty and nicely landscaped. We had plenty of shade and beautiful backgrounds for our other photo and video work. We did not have a huge group but I can see this would be a good space for a large group or gathering and the open floorplan is prefect for entertaining. In our down time we mostly enjoyed the large grill and patio seating area; the evenings were cool so we spent a lot of time enjoying this space.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+.

My daughter and son-in-law held their wedding at the MGM, but we decided to have the reception at this home. We only rented the big house with the pool Yes, as some commenters have indicated, the furniture and carpets are a bit dated, and the kitchen is not exceptionally well supplied, but virutually everything we really needed was there. I did buy a coffee maker and left it there, as the one that was there was not working properly. Still, Charlie did everything we asked him to do to make our stay and the reception enjoyable. My daughter and her husband were thrilled with how the reception went, our friends and relatives enjoyed themselves and were comfortable in the home and on the grounds. The price was fair and we were pleased in the end. Could the home use some updating and some supplies - Absolutely. Could Charlie rent it at the price he does now if he puts that money into it - No, not a chance. This place is a value proposition. If you want five star quality, you pay a five star price. This is 3+ to 4 star and it works for a wedding or a larger family gathering. If you want the Four Seasons, it is only a couple of miles away. It is great, but you will pay a lot more to stay there. 26 people ages 4-84. Three nights, four days. Positives Having two houses right next to each other so that the two families with young children could nap them was great for us. The guest house was also going to be a plus at night so anyone coming in late would not disturb the kids. That did not work out. More on that later. The main house pool area was great. The grounds adequate. Fairly clean. Inside main house has large areas for gathering. Guest house has putting green in back but no real yard, etc. Negatives: In our opinion these properties must mainly be used for wedding type events with a few people sleeping over. It is not set up well for an extended stay. The kitchen cupboards are total unorganized and pantry is cluttered with junk that makes it unusable. Nowhere to store dry goods, etc. Refrigerator was not working well. Some items you would expect to find in a house this size, i.e. wine glasses, coffee cups, etc. we’re lacking. OK if everything you are doing is catered. Bathrooms had no towels. With 26 people, a couple towels per person for four days is not asking too much. Linin closets were empty. A couple towels were laid on a few beds, but not near enough. Charlie did bring us 10 more when asked. We also had to search for sheets, pillows, etc. for pull out beds. Found them in a back area that was also much cluttered. Iron was not working. The number one complaint was the air-conditioning. It just could not cool the house. Set at 77 degrees during the day, it ran nonstop. While we did have the door open from time to time, it should have been able to cool the house. At night, the main area of house cooled, thus shutting the air down, but the bedrooms were stuffy and never really got cool. Maybe the solution is more fans. But if it were my house I would be putting in a second air conditioning unit or getting one twice the size it has now.The guest house had the same issue. Bedrooms just would not cool down. No air into the back bedrooms. Therefore the families with the young kids had to get hotel rooms so the kids could sleep well. Our families had a great time. Charlie went over and above solving the small problems. He makes it tough on himself by not having the place more organized and equipped with essentials. Have the linens and towels organized. De-clutter so there are areas for guests to store food, etc Charlie is awesome. He will do what he can to make it enjoyable.Owner response: These guests were very nice and although I understand the cooling issue (of which I was unaware for a day or two) I did reset the a/c and it cooled to 78 degrees on the thermo which is great for Vegas summer. Extra towels were supplied first day of arrival and all beds had bedding save one of our spare queens. We do go through our pantry on a quarterly basis to clean out stuff but we with the weddings we find much left over stuff which often gets re-used. There is a ton of storage in kitchen and an entire storage area in our prep area used by our catering folks. We are always working to keep on top of issues as it is but we remain available always to address things brought to our attention poste haste. Sorry to these folks for any discomfort and only wish to have had the information earlier in order to avoid discomfort. Best wishes to our guests and glad the family had a great time.

Initial contact with owner helpful/congenial. However, upon arrival for weeks rental stay, rooms reflected in listing description not available, 11 bedrooms advertised, only 9 true bedrooms available (inclusive of both houses we rented). 6.5 bathrooms listed, only 5.5 available. Upon arrival, some bedding had to be rewashed, oven cleaned to be used, which we did. Listing didn't reflect owner resided on property(inside house #2 two, which we rented). Large dogs on property, large size remains not cleaned from yard area during entire stay. "Shabby Chic" uncomfortable furniture in pool home. Washer/dryer not working, not repaired during stay, washer/dryer unavailable in 2nd home. TV's were in most rooms but not all hooked up to cable, so were not usable and were many, many years old. Reception poor on usable TV's. Two person walk in granite shower, was unfinished and/or poorly constructed. Pool advertised as heated was not by solar or electric and many tiles were falling from perimeter. Photos didn't reflect true appearance of property, listing description not accurate and would not recommend rental for family reunion which we had there for 7 days. My wife and I held our wedding here and were both very happy with how it turned out. As everyone knows, planning a wedding requires many details including decorations, catering and layout of the reception area. Charles and Gena met with us several time leading up to the wedding, giving us helpful input which was very valuable to making our wedding a success and eventful. Charles, thanks for putting up the light, and the wires for the lanterns and parasols, Gina's vision came true.
