Our lake, BIG ROUND LAKE, in Polk County WI is an excellent fishing lake. Many come and use the public landing just so they can fish. One family who rented from us caught a 21 inch walleye! I can't say as I have had that kind of luck, of course it might help if I would go out fishing! For details you can look Big Round Lake up on the Wisconsin DNR site. The lake is 1015 acres. We have used it for both fishing and jet skiing and others water ski.
We have a large yard on the road side of the cabin. There are two trees that can be used for volleyball or for badminton. (Net and ball available) The same yard could be used for croquet. Yes, you may bring a fishing boat.
Each of the bedrooms sleeps two, one a double bed and the other a trundle. The big room downstairs has two twin beds and one double. The sofa is a hide a bed.
The presence of bald eagles is awesome. We see many every day. They have nested in a tree in our neighbor's lot so we have even seen young eagles. Another very notable highlight is the sunsets. They are as great as any you have ever seen! It is also very quiet. We rarely are disturbed by sounds other than loons and other nature.
We have a pontoon with a sunning deck in the front. The pontoon works well out in the lake for swimming and diving. Our cabin is a fun and comfy place to be.
It is $1195 /week plus $550 for the pontoon if you want it. The security deposit is a check for $500 that will be returned when you leave. We ask for a $250 non refundable deposit to reserve the date just for you. Four weeks prior to your arrival we request payment in full. Check in is 4 pm on day of arrival and check out at noon on day of departure. We charge no cleaning fee FOR WEEKLY VISITORS if it is left in decent shape.
