KICK BACK AND RELAX AT THIS CHARMING, PRIVATE, GEM OF A COTTAGE, ON THE WATER. Prices are extremely low for the fall season and the days are just as gorgeous and lovely as summer. Choose to enjoy your morning coffee either on our spacious, shaded deck or charming screened in porch while watching incredible water fowl come and go, in and out of our peaceful cove. It is the most gorgeous time at the lake! Trees are changing colors and the peace and serenity are heavenly! Privacy is ensured as we are surrounded by lovely treed lots. It truly is a special retreat for friends and family alike.
At the end of a very quiet street with plenty of parking, our well maintained cottage has two levels with two living spaces. There are wood floors throughout the first floor and the furnishings are updated. We have luxurious feather duvets and duvet covers on all the beds for those cool fall and winter nights. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the living area, which leads out to the deck. The living space has a seating area adjacent to a large dining area surrounded by views of the outdoors. The master bedroom,with a new pillow top mattress(2011) which also leads out to the deck, and bath are on the same level. The lower level boasts another spacious living area complete with large flat screen TV, bunk beds and pull out sleeper sofa. Two other bedrooms(each have queen beds) are on the lower level, as is the full bathroom which has a new tiled, large shower, laundry and screened in porch. There is plenty of closet and drawer space in all the bedrooms.
We are the last dock in the rear of a calm cove and therefore, one could safely moor your boat to our dock during your stay. I am also open to letting you use our boat slip for no charge this fall. There is also ample space for sitting out on the dock, taking in the sun and reading a good book, while birds fly in and out of the private cove and fish jump all around.
We also have a patio space between the house and deck where you can relax around a cozy fire during cool spring or fall evenings. We have fallen in love with this cottage and surrounding area and know that you will as well. Bring your friends and family and create memories for a lifetime.

Why the Owner Chose Horseshoebend
As I said previously, I had spent many great times at Lake of the Ozarks as a youth. And now I get to share it with my daughter, friends and family. We love water sports such as skiing, tubing and just being out on the water. We have two kayaks and pedal boat and love to cruise around our cove. For people who play golf, there are so many really great courses all around us. That is a huge bonus. Not many lake vacation regions have such plentiful and good golf courses. We love the fact that the lake is only about 2 1/2-3 hours from our home in St. Louis. We love to have friends and family down for a fun and relaxing getaway.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love our property for many reasons. Firstly, it is just the right size and attributes we were looking for. We wanted a place that was not on top of other houses, thus lots of privacy. We were looking for a screened in porch, two living spaces and walk out lower level. We love the fact that we are at the end of a quiet cove so swimming and relaxing are simple to partake in. We love that we can pull our car up to the front porch and load and unload our vehicle. We wanted the Horseshoe Bend area as it has a good property value and is easy access from St. Louis. There are a few really good restaurants nearby as well as a few grocery stores. We really do not have to deal with the traffic and rush of the major route at the lake, Hwy. 54.

Kris here. I am a native of St. Louis Missouri and have many great memories of days spent at Lake of the Ozarks as a youth. A friend purchased a place at the lake three years before us and we spent time with them at the lake and I fell in love with the lake once again. I have a teenage daughter and she always has a friend or two with her when we go to the lake. She loves to go tubing and ski. We love just hanging out at the dock and using the kayaks and pedal boat.

A wonderful wonderufl experience! We took my 83 year old mom and her four legged companion to this incredible Lake Ozarks cottage. I hesitate to write this review, I don't want EVERYONE booking up what I like to consider "My cottage" after having stayed. This place offers everything you could want. We cooked, we boated, we relaxed, and we awed at the entire environment. You will love the dock at the end of the cove that leaves you with your own private nook at the lake! Convenient to all the Lake attractions in just minutes, but you won't want to leave home...it just offers too much! Nestled in its own forest, the world is yours! The screened in porch is wonderful for peaceful moments anytime of day, but night gives you a wonderful lighted view of the cove. We can't say enough about the firepit fires, the paddleboat excursions, the comfort of the lake house. You will have the vacation you dreamed of and want for nothing! The owners are more than accomodating to your needs. Easy rental and easy street memories!

We stayed at this cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was even better then we thought. The owner had everything you could need already set up in the cottage and supplied EVERYTHNG!!!!!!!! The location was quiet and beautiful. I highly recommend this cottage for a family get away, work get away, etc. I have rented many, many different places over the years and I can honestly say this was one that I will always remember. My friends already want me to book it for next year. Thanks

This was a really great property! My husband and I have stayed at several different homes at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we loved this place. While it's close to many popular lake destinations, it is at the end of a secluded cove and is very private. It was great to take our dogs without worrying that they'd get run over like we have in busier locations. The owner is great to work with, and you can tell they really take pride in their house-it doesn't feel like a rental property but like a "home". It was very cozy and a great place to get away and recharge. If you like watching wildlife-this is a great location-we saw deer, lots of fish off the dock and all varieties of beautiful birds.

This is a wonderful home with great furnishings, and as the other reviewer says, it's the best of both worlds. While the home is close to many great attractions, it feels like a peaceful oasis. It has trees on both sides, so it really gives a great sense of privacy and serenity in the midst of all the lake has to offer. There is also a fantastic screened-in porch underneath the top deck, and it gives a great alternative for outdoor visiting! The homeowner is very gracious and good to work with; I would highly recommend this place if you like having some quiet and privacy in a comfortable, well-appointed atmosphere during your stay at the lake.

We have stayed three times now and come with another couple and with family. It is a great place to get away, good location for lake amenities and to bring your boat and stay! We love that it is pet friendly and family friendly! Super comfortable cabin with two levels so you can have kids, etc on one level and not bother them on the other level. Great screen porch over the deck to see the lake and hang out without bugs, rain, etc. Would recommend highly!!
