If you're searching for an immaculate, comfortable, extremely organized and well-stocked home --central to everything on the island, this is the house for you. John, the owner, is attentive without being invasive, available and genuinely concerned with ensuring that his guests enjoy their stay. Restaurants and beaches at both ends of the street, a heated pool, soul-affirming daily sunsets over the gulf, two ice cream parlors, gourmet doughnuts and the "main street" less than a 5 minute walk from our front door all contributed to a fantastic vacation. If you're looking to unwind and take a mini-holiday from winter, this reasonably priced, full-featured home on AMI is a stellar destination.

The previous reviews are spot on. Nicely equipped for families, lots of bikes, plenty of towels, even a small box of toys that entertained kiddos when we were inside the house. We had a house full for dinner when nearby extended family visited and there was plenty of seating. There is a free trolley stop one block north of the house (at the Historical Society which was surprisingly fun for my 5 year old). For those traveling with babies, the master closet had plenty of room for the pack and play so our baby had a dark, quiet space for napping and bedtime. Bring a monitor and you can swim while baby sleeps! This was our first time using HomeAway and I would definitely use again.

This is the best villa to stay in on Anna Maria Island (in our opinion). We went to Anna Maria Island for a family wedding and out of the 6 villa's rented (some cheaper, some a lot more expensive) everyone agreed, taking into account the size, cost, location, pool size and hours of sun light on it during the day and everything included like the bikes, we had the best villa. I would strongly recommend this villa to anyone wishing to visit Anna Maria Island.

This house is a great choice for a young family. Fully equipped with high chair, booster seat, travel cot and stair gate. Plus, two strollers and various bikes plus beach toys and lots of towels! The house was very clean and welcoming and the kitchen was well equipped too. The outside shower is great for washing sandy feet and the location of the washing machine in the second bathroom great for post beach laundering. The swimming pool is shaded during the morning so it is a great place to be with the children before lunch. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach in either direction and there is a great restaurant at both ends of the road. It is also located one block from a coffee shop, a bike hire shop and a short walk from the General Stores. It is also only a short walk to the Trolley. The enclosed lanai is great for dining at night and bug free! We would definitely recommend this property and choose to stay again if we return to Anna Maria Island.

This vacation home was everything as advertised and more. It is more spacious and more beautiful than the pictures indicated. It is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The owners thought of everything - an outdoor shower (as well as 2 inside), a place to rinse the sand from our feet, a beautiful pool, candles we used at the big table on the screened porch, lots of games in the hall table, lots of bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. The owner called twice while we were there to be sure everything was going well. The beach is a jewel and sunsets magnificent. Spring St. is a quiet street and we loved watching the many birds, lizards and squirrels in the area. I would love to go back for a least a month and highly recommend this home.

We were very impressed with how clean nd well kept our house was- exactly as described- any apprehension my husband about sight unseen was gone immediately. Our family was very happy for spring break and everyone did as little or as much as they wanted - having the bikes was a plus and v useful - thank you. The two small problems we had were fixed immediatley by the island manger who was helpful and pleasant . Worth every penny and I don't regret not using a resort- we had our own private one at this place. thank you.

My daughter and I along with another family enjoyed a wonderful 10 days in your beautiful home! Having the bikes, bike carts, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels is what made the stay extra enjoyable. It was so much fun to hop on our bikes and bring our beach items easily to the beach just down the street a couple blocks. We found we enjoyed the Gulf side beach by the "Sand Bar". We didn't have a good experience eating at the "Sand Bar" however. If you want a cheap good burger, go to the "City Pier" between 3-6pm M-F for $5.95 which includes as my daughter said the worlds best French fries and Cole slaw. Longboat Key had a delicious restaurant "Lazy Lobster". "Slim's Place" just a few blocks away from the home had yummy nachos. It was also fun to bike around the island and explore, shop and dine out! We loved this end of the island as it was much more relaxing and not as many people around. The home itself was gorgeous and fun to come home to along with enjoying the large warm pool and floating the day away:) The kitchen was fantastic to have so much room to prepare some meals in. The "General Store" just around the corner was very handy to pick up very basic items and we especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice and "Tyler's" homemade ice cream they carried. We bought our main grocery items at "Publix" which is about 3 1/2 miles away. We did bike there once for some items but it is easier to drive if you rent a car or you can take the trolley. We also took the trolley to the Farmers Market Sunday morning to get our fresh produce. Walks along the beach at sunrise picking up sand dollars and shells was magnificent. The sunsets were incredible each night also on the beach. We've never seen such a beautiful white soft sandy beach before. We really hated to leave this paradise island and head back to Minnesota cold and snow. We loved this home and hope to stay again some day! Thanks for all of the great information you provided to us about the island before we arrived and by answering all of our questions. It felt like we were talking with a friend! Thank you for the use of your beautiful home and all that goes with it. I would recommend this beautiful, clean, well maintained home! Dawn & Kayla

Two of us stayed at this lovely home for a short getaway in late November. Although the weather was less than perfect we enjoyed our relaxing stay. This home is spacious and beautiful and has everything you would need for a perfect vacation, even with a large group of people. Every item you could possibly need is provided: towels for the beach, bicycles for every age, and plenty of beach chairs and toys and of course a complete kitchen. It's extremely clean and everything is well organized and easy to find. The beds are very comfortable and the common areas are spacious. There's even a huge playroom for the children downstairs. It's perfectly located, half way between the bay and the gulf on a very quite street. The host is gracious and accomodating, allowing us a very late arrival time and also departure time, which allowed us almost another full day at the beach! We love Anna Maria and have stayed in many homes in the area - this has been our favorite. Thank you John.

Anna Maria Island is an awesome tropical vacation spot but add to it "Serenity" this beautiful vacation rental home with a pool within walking distance of most anything you'd want or need on vacation, the ocean, local grocery, cute shops, excellent restaurants and of course, Two Scoops Ice Cream Shop. The tastefully decorated vacation home was very well equipped with many extras including lots of bicycles, toys, pool floats.........I could go on and on. By car Bradenton, Sarasota and Longboat Key provide more exceptional restaurants, shopping, Museums, Mote Marine, St. Armand's Circle and for another ice cream try Kilwin's on St. Armand's. My husband and I were joined by our daughter, son-in-law and four year old grandson and they too enjoyed this spot One might think, Florida in August? But with the sea breeze and absolutely spectacular sunsets it was the perfect family get away.

My husband, 9-yo daughter and I stayed in this house the week of May 8, 2010. We had a couple who live in Florida join us halfway though the week. This was the most relaxing vacation I can remember having. Besides Mother Nature's cooperation with perfect weather every single day, this house truly is a gem. The location is perfect, halfway between bay and gulf and very close to some great casual and upscale restaurants. The layout of the house is great with a huge kitchen and a great screened room overlooking the beautiful pool (my daughter was wet 75% of this trip!). In addition, the house is very well stocked with towels, toys, kitchen gear and many bikes. The carts were a Godsend for going to the beach. John was very helpful as well in giving tips and check in/out was a breeze. Recommendations - Sandbar for lunch was great, but we weren't as happy with dinner. The Waterfront restaurant was very good for dinner. We had a great breakfast and lunch at the Rod n Reel (fast friendliy service, cheap and good!) We also loved Feelin' Swell at the end of the street for a casual lunch/dinner (their buffalo shrimp were to die for!) The Mote Aquarium was a nice day trip and don't miss the bird sanctuary right next door. Loved it and wishing I could go back already!

We spent a week here at the end of Oct/beginning Nov and we had a wonderful time. The house is very clean, spacious and has everything you need to relax and enjoy the beach and the Island. The location is ideal. Our kids (10 & 8 yrs) loved the pool and the beach. Our daughter loved cycling to the beach and our son enjoyed spotting all the local wildlife. The Mote Aquarium & Sarasota Jungle Gardens nearby are well worth a visit while you are here.

During a stay with our daughter and her family in Florida, we all spent a week in this lovely house in Anna Maria. What you see is what you get - a beautifully presented home. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and provides the perfect background for a relaxing holiday. Our group of six consisted of grandparents, parents and two small children. All three generations were more than happy. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The beach is of fine clean white sand and never too crowded. The children were fascinated with the ghost crabs. The area is quiet enough to allow safe use of the bicycles, a very enjoyable way to explore the neighbourhood! Eating out was a pleasure, in particular we enjoyed Sign of the Mermaid, for amazing seafood, the Waterfront, and the Sandbar (where I took the children for a paddle between courses!!) We also enjoyed a grouper sandwich at the Rod and Reel Pier. Don't miss Two Scoops Ice Cream. The owners provided all the information we needed both about the house and the area. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and in fact writing this review just makes us want to be right back there!

We stayed at the house the week of June 6, 2009 and absolutely LOVED it! The house had everything we needed for our three boys ages 5, 4 and 16 months - high chair, pack-n-play, baby gate, pool toys, beach toys, jogging stroller and kids bikes. We spent our days at the beach, in the pool or biking around the island. Only time we used the car was to visit the grocery and to dinner one night in Bradenton Beach. Other than that everything we needed was an easy walk. The house is very well maintained and clean, and the owners are very helpful. The bikes with the beach carts were a lifesaver - one parent would bike to the beach and set up the chairs, towels and umbrella (all provided) while the other walked with the kids. We recommend eating at The Sandbar Restaurant at the gulf end of the street, The Waterfront Restaurant at the bay end of the street, Ginny's and Jane E.'s for breakfast, and ice cream at Two Scoops across from the City Pier. All are an easy walk from the house - even with young children. Our first night we ordered pizza from Oma's so we could relax in the pool - they have a great antipasta salad. Another recommendation for families is to walk North past the City Pier and you'll find a beach area with playground. The beach area on the gulf was very nice and uncrowded. Lots of shade can be found in the morning and the water is crystal clear. One thing you can't miss are the sunsets on the gulf - it's a great time to look for shells as well. All-in-all we had a wonderful time and cannot wait to spend another week at this home!

Booking a vacation home online can be hit or miss. We hit the jackpot this time. The location is absolutely breathtaking and the owners attention to detail is beyond belief. He has thought of everything. There are a fleet of bicycles to accommodate bikers of all ages. The bicycles even have trailers to ensure getting every last toy to the beach with you. The pool is equipped with all the toys, floats, chairs and tables you could need. All the beach towels you will need are here as well. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. The screened lanai is great for morning coffee or puzzles with the kids. The wireless internet is another detail that was not spared. The gulf and bay beaches are within walking distance. There is a park, a library, shopping, multiple restaurants and ice cream shops within walking distance also. We can not say enough about the great time we had here. All you need is a bathingsuit and sun screen. Everything else is here!

I can not say enough good things about this home. Location is wonderful. It is only a short walk to either the Bay or Gulf beaches. It is very nicely appointed and very kid friendly. We have 3 children in the ranges of 6-9 and there was nothing that we needed that wasn't here. Bikes were provided as well as beach/pool toys. Beautiful kitchen to cook in and save a little cash. We found an amazing amount of sand dollars and beautiful shells. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate and was more than helpful with activity suggestions. You won't be dissappointed with this vacation rental.
