  Our family of ten,including three adult children, their spouses and grandchildren ages 12,10 and 5,spent a wonderful mid July week at this house. The house was certainly as advertised and the pictures give an accurate description of the house. We found the kitchen to be well equipped but I suggest the addition of an electric teamaker since Southerners really like iced tea in the summer. We found the elevator useful when bringing groceries to the second floor kitchen as well as taking luggage to the second and third floor bedrooms. We appreciated the owners' decision to have two dishwashers and two washer-dryers since large groups can quickly produce a lot of dirty dishes and dirty laundry. The dryer did a good job with the beach towels. The location of the house was great. We were across the street from the beach and a closer walk to the beach than any other place we have stayed in my 35+ years of visiting the Alabama-Florida Gulf coast, including many beachfront condos. I suggest the owners tell prospective renters that the homeowner's association does not allow the use of a tent or canopy on the private beach. We brought two canopies we could not use so we rented a large umbrella for the week and used our own beach chairs as well as the chairs provided by the owners. We left our chairs at the house and hope they will be used by futute renters. The house is a short drive from the grocery, drug store, liquor store,restaurants and outlet mall. Our grandchildren enjoyed the daily stop of the ice cream truck and visits to Alvin Island, a short block away, for an evening treat. Pompano Joe's is a short walk up the street. We used the gas grill a number of times. We did not use the pool as much as we expected since the beach was so close and the pool is small. We did not have need to use the community pool. We will return next summer if our family schedule permits us to have a week together and the house is available. The rental of the house was money well spent for a memorable family vacation.

  We've rented many homes on VRBO and were very happy with this house. Everything was as depicted in the pictures and description. We stayed a week for Spring Break with four adults and seven kids. We enjoyed having two master suites with king size beds and incredible walk-in showers. The home was in excellent condition and was well stocked with everything we needed. Walking to the beach access across the street was a simple process as the cross walk is in front of the home. Nick was a pleasure to work with and easy to contact with questions or concerns.

  Our family has visited Slice of Paradise and Another Slice of Paradise each of the last 5 years. We have enjoyed both properties and the amenities each visit. The houses are always clean and with good features. The kitchens are well stocked. We will be back again in 2013 !

  Sorry it took me a while to write this review. We rented the property in August, 2012 for 4 families. This is a big and nice house across from the beach and very close to the private beach entrance . The listing description is accurate. The house is nice, clean, spotless, well maintained and actually gorgeous, the pictures didn't show all the beauty of the house. Its kitchen is fully stocked, well equipped with all the gadgets: coffee maker, grill, food processor, baking pan, mixer, dishes, silverware..The entertainment system was good We liked the property so much that we actually didn't go out besides going to the beach, we spent most of the times at the house, listened to the music, relaxed at the balcony and cooked meals in the big kitchen Nick, the owner, is very nice, easy to work with. His quick responding help me a lot in organizing vacation for a big group. We had a good time at the property and I strongly recommend it to everyone who need a large house for family reunion, friends getting together

  We found this home to be immaculately clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable in every way. The kitchen was well stocked, providing everything needed to prepare meals for my family in the wonderful kitchen or on the grill outside. Every need was met during our stay at the Slice of Paradise beach house. Nick was caring and helpful, always just a convenient phone call away whenever we needed assistance. My family enjoyed the awesome location of the home including the lovely ocean view, the nearness of the pretty community pool and the short walk across the street to the beautiful white sand beaches. I give this home my highest recommendation and hope to stay again the next time we visit Destin.

  Best house!!! Had every amenity and then some, very roomy, easy beach access and close to grocery, shopping, etc. The rental was super easy and house was immaculate! Will stay again and would recommend to all my Destin going friends

  Our family loved your house. Rooms, kitchen, family room & laundry were perfect. Your place was very convenient to the beach and everything else in the Destin area. We could not expected anything more from our trip. We look forward to next year.

  We had a wonderful experience at "Another Slice of Paradise." We had the unfortunate timing of arriving the week that Hurricane Isaac hit Louisiana, but that did not keep us from having a great time. The house is awesome - plenty of room, fully furnished upscale kitchen, televisions in every room, and the house is across the street from private beach access. There is a nice pool located primarily in the shade with lounging chairs and a gas grill. Additionally, there is access to the pool via a side door that opens into a bathroom, so one needed literally to walk just a few feet from the outside deck to the shower/facilities. Every bedroom has plenty of plenty of space in addition to their own private bath access. The house is perfectly located and is suitable for all ages. Between the two families, we brought four children aged 1-4. We were pleased to discover the owners supplied stair gates, a pack and play, a booster seat, and a high chair, in addition to sippy cups and plastic beach toys. These little details definitely made life easier! The most impressive part of our experience was the communication with the owner, Nick. He was in constant contact with us as the storm approached and offered to research alternative places to go if we had to evacuate the area. We couldn't be more impressed, as it seemed he really wanted us to have the best time possible, yet also be as safe as possible. To that, were so grateful! We would HIGHLY recommend this house to anybody visiting the Destin area and we look forward to returning next year (hopefully when there isn't a tropical storm!)

  Our family was very, very pleased with the accommodations and the location. There had been concern that we might feel crowded with the 14 of us including 5 children but that was not the case. Especially nice was the fact each couple had their own private bathroom...loved that! Owner was quick to respond to what was our only difficulty while there and that was the WiFi going out a few times but that was due to the storms late in the week...unfortunately, during the storms when no one could go to the beach was when everyone wanted to use their tablets. Only suggestion we had was that the refrigerator was a little too small for all the cold stuff we brought or bought....another one in the garage for extra space would be awesome (or of course a commercial one in the kitchen). Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, we all agreed our experience was 10+....thank you!!!
