A very well equipped, very clean updated modern cottage in a good location. Listing description, pictures did not do the property justice. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. Owner was helpful and cooperative. Plan to return next year. Highly recommend.

Rented this cottage for a week for a fishing trip. I have been going to the Outer Banks twice a year for several years and have rented many places. I was referred to this place by a friend who lives in the OBX. This was the first time that I did not use one of the many realtors available and I must say it was great dealing directly with the owner, it was nice to be appreciated instead of paying all the extra money to a realtor just to have them say here is your key drop it off at such n such time. Had to leave OBX 3 days early during the last hurricane and Sun Realty in Duck was not at all accomodating or helpful, really turned me off from them. We had to call them! about the evacuation procedure and told them that we were going to pack and leave that afternoon (we called them in the A.M.) and they told us that we had to leave that moment and that they needed the keys ASAP and they were super busy and rudely rushed us off the phone. Dropped off the keys just to witness them all eating take out and laughing and relaxing not one person busy. Not a sight to see after rushing to pack with 2 kids n finding out we had all day to pack and leave. Im very big on customer service and this owner was able to accomodate my last minute vacation planning without hesitation. He was very friendly to talk to and helpful. This cottage is centrally located, you are literally minutes away from many of the sights, attractions and great dining that the OBX has to offer. As for our fishing trip, this cottage was perfectly located between the different piers that we fished from and was also close to hatteras island which we also fished at. The beach was litterally a couple minutes walk from the cottage. The decor was fresh and had a relaxing ocean theme. The condition was superb, both upper and lower decks were in great condition! The bedrooms roomy and provided more than enough storage areas. The kitchen area provided all the untensils and appliances we needed. The coffee pot worked great:) The living room was comfy and a flat screen television along with a dvd player some classic movies and a stereo were provided. This cottage does not provide the hot tub and pool that many others offer but take it from someone who frequents the OBX alot save your money you will not be using them enough to justify the hundreds of dollars you paid to have them the ocean is your hot tub and jacuzzi (obx waters are warm) and its free! The neighboring cottages were very nice also. Will rent again!

My wife and I stayed at this cottage in mid-Sept 2011. The cottage has everything you need for a great week at the beach. It's in a wonderful location, between the highways, and a very short walk to the beach. The outside spaces were great, we really enjoyed the upper deck to take in some sun, and get a look at the ocean. We used the kitchen to prepare dinner a couple nights during our stay. There are restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

The reason we chose this rental was for the positive reviews. We were not disappointed. My family had an awesome time. The rental itself was clean and well maintained. It is well decorated and you can tell the owners put alot of heart into their investment. The location is ideal for the beach and outer bank activities. Read all the reviews and book your reservation. You will not regret it. Enjoy the outer banks.

Dean's home is absolutely amazing, we could not have asked for a better place or a better person to work with. After traveling 26 + hours by car, arriving to this home was refreshing, as it has everything you would need. The proximately to everything is Kill Devil Hill makes this the right place to chose, along with the value of the rental. Every evening my 4 kids begged to eat on the deck and then enjoyed swinging in the porch swing. The sleeping arrangements are wonderful and we had pleanty of room in the beach cottage even with 4 growing kids. Best places to visit: Elizabeth II ship and museum, Jockey Ridge in the evening, Cape Hatteras Light House, Avalon Fishing Pier and of course the BEACH anytime of the day or night...we spent most evenings their to avoid a sunburn...Avoid the Aquarium very simple and not entertaining.

We absolutely loved our OBX vacation ~ so peaceful and relaxing! We couldn't have asked for more in a beach cottage! The owner was very nice to work with. He sent very detailed information about the house (a breakdown of what was included in each room /kitchen) before our stay and even called while we were there to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The cottage is VERY clean and decorated with a beachy theme. We loved the "extras" that were included like...puzzles and games, movies and books, extra beach chairs and umbrellas, beach buggy, sand toys and kite, and the comfy swing on the back porch. The house is very close (maybe a 2 min walk) to the beach with a public access (so you can drive your car across Beach Rd. - very nice if you have small kids or lots of beach stuff). There is a Mexican rest. next door with cornhole games and a pizzeria next door too - CVS is also within walking distance - Kmart and Food Lion are about 1 1/2 miles away... close enough if you forgot something. Great beach house! We really enjoyed our stay - very peaceful and relaxing - exactly what we all needed!

We stayed here recently for the OBX flying pirate half marathon. We found this place and couldn't believe how affordable it was and Dean the owner was more than kind and pleasure to work with. The rental itself felt like a perfectly tucked away little beach cottage. There were 4 adults and two toddlers in our group and other than early mornings for everyone because the kids were noisy, it was the perfect size. We really enjoyed how we could easily walk to the beach and then just a ten minute drive to get to most locations in OBX. We would definitely recommend this rental to others and will pass it on to family members traveling to area!

My family and I went down for a wedding and the house was so comfortable and spotless. The decor is wonderful and the short walk to the beach was great. The location was perfect. My son loved the outdoor shower. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely return when we have more time to vacation.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. The cottage is very close to the beach, and centrally located to great restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. It also has everything that you could ever need on your vacation. The covered deck was great for eating three meals a day, or for just relaxing on the comfy swing. Our first trip to OBX was awesome and we will definitely be inquiring about staying here again next year!

Couldn't have been happier with this place for our family of 6. Very clean and nicely furnished. Had everything we needed and more - including laundry machines, dishwasher, shaded parking for 2, outside shower and hoses...and plenty to do on a rainy day: wireless internet, flat panel TV with a bunch of DVDs, books, closet full of games. And we loved the 2 level decks - the upper one has a nice ocean view and open sun, the lower one is shaded with a picnic table (great for breakfast) and a hanging swing/chair. Great neighborhood - we walked and biked to restaurants, very short walk to the beach. And the owners are very friendly and honest. Two thumbs up.

My family and I have just returned from a wonderful vacation in NC. We loved the cottage as soon as we arrived. The photographs don't do it justice, we didnt realise that the cottage had both covered and sun decks. As soon as we woke we would enjoy breakfast and last thing at night relaxing on deck. The cottage location is superb, within 2 mins walk of beautiful beach and the same distance to the stores and fun restaurants. Whilst there we rented bikes, the roads are bike friendly so we were able to cycle to the Wright Memorial, Putt Putt and of course gift shopping. We would honestly recommend 303 Martin St to any family, very clean and decorated in typical beach style. The downstairs grilling area is perfect for chilling out in the evening and watching sun go down. We would definitely use the cottage again. Thank you.

We stayed at this lovely beach cottage from 7/4/10 - 7/11/10. It truly is the perfect getaway! The cottage is so comfortable, clean and well maintained. It's decorated in a light, airy, beachy decor. The decks provide a great place to enjoy the awesome Outer Banks scenery. The lifeguarded beach is only a few steps away. The owners have provided everything you need for a perfect vacation. It's also close to the best restaurants and attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Bright and welcoming, our first visit to the OBX was certainly enjoyed more by these surroundings. Convenient to everything including a very short walk to the beach. The owners were especially accommodating to us because we had some scheduling problems. I'd rate the cottage 5 star!

VERY convenient location to the beach & everything else on the OBX. Comfortable, clean, newly painted and decorated in light, airy color scheme. Definitely not your typical "Beach Box. Up-to-date appliances, electronics, & internet equipment. Best 2 week value & cottage experience I've han on OBX. I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer. May 27 - June 7, 2009
