Comfortable and great location We stayed in Aug and it rained a lot but when we arrived the place was warm and very comfortable. Lots of space and great beds! Open area for relaxing and eating meals. So close to everything you can walk.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Biggest plus - the location. We walked to the harbor (in the rain) in less than 10mins probably less in sunny weather. Walking is a saving $10 of parking. otherwise the place was a decent sleeping facility...some key things to know: 1. Choose the upper unit if you have to choose one. There is more natural lighting and the floors creak so being on the bottom you can hear eveyonr walking. Plus the view is much better 2. Both units provide freezers which was super convenient 3. The rooms smell a little damp but not sure what can be done 4. The dog next door barks and whimpers quite loudly but you get used to itRecommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car.

This location is the best in Seward, you can get anywhere walking. We had a car and they have parking so we left the car and walked everywhere. The place was clean an had lots of room, extras like the washer and dryer, and freezers where nice. We had both units and that was perfect with our large family. Great time in Seward. We met the owner in his restaurant in Anchorage and we are glad we did. Thanks VanRecommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I stayed here in June with some friends. I went online to the site because we want to book again next year. This place was perfect for our stay in Seward......clean, comfortable and in a great location. Close to the tour boats, fishing charters and the best restaurants in Seward. I'd recommend this place to anyone.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My husband and I wanted to rent a place in Seward with a view for my daughter and 2 of her college friends visiting from out of state. From the photo, it looked quite nice but the picture of the view is totally deceiving. I am thinking that the photo was taken from the upstairs apartment, not the ground floor apartment which is what was rented out to us. It is also described as a "2 bedroom home" which it is not. It is a two story building and the bottom floor was rented out to us. There is apparently a second apartment upstairs. The outside is badly in need of paint but the inside has been kept up quite nicely and was very clean. There are no windows to open in the front part of the house which caused it to get quite uncomfortable in the sunny weather. The location is great! Close to the boat harbor and shops. Overall our stay was comfortable but we wont be staying here again. We definitely would not have rented it if we had a true understanding of what we were getting.Did you find this review helpful? Although the property is in a great location, it is in terrible condition and the worse VRBO property we've ever rented. It is generally in disrepair and grubby, with dirty carpets, windows that don't work, missing baseboards, and a dirty kitchen that I couldn't cook in. We ended up eating out for every meal because we just were not comfortable here, which ended up costing us a small fortune. We were very disappointed and would have been better off in a hotel.Owner response: I am sorry this guest was disappointed. I have never had a complaint on the cleanliness of the property. There was a broken screen on a window that has been repaired we where waiting for the screen to get in, Seward Alaska is a small town and we had to order it. The kitchen garbage was full of trash where they had shopped and cooked. We also found the dish washer full of dishes so somebody was eating there. We saw them several hours after they checked in when we where watering plants and they did not mention a thing. I also received a call from them letting me know they had checked in and “everything was in order.” I still have that on my voice mail. Oh I know! They want a complete refund after staying for several days and not complaining to us at all. Really

One of the best things about this B&B is the location. It is within walking distance of the harbor and downtown shops and restaurants. It's also wonderfully relaxing to fall asleep to and wake up to the babbling brook in the backyard. The apartment itself is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The full kitchen was great for cooking breakfast in the morning and packing lunches. Since we were there for a week of fishing, we really appreciated the freezer just outside the unit. The owner/manager was fantastic. We had a problem with the cable TV when we first arrived. After one phone call the problem was solved. I highly recommend this B&BRecommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I found the accomodations so much more than just a place to sleep. Everything was exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable with all the amenities of my own home. The decor was exceptional and the bedding was so much more than you would expect in any type of rental. Also being able to park directly in front was very convenient. The views were exceptional, and the location was centralized to what ever our plan for the day included. I would highly recommend this property to any and all. As for any recommendation I would have for dining, Ray's restaurant is at the top of my list.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
