The Lodge Style Home is a privately owned reserve of 100+ acres located in the Mount Lassen Area of Shasta County in Northern California. Situated at an elevation of 2800’, it is accessible year-round.
The lodge home is completely private and not visible from anywhere off of the property. The property is a 3 ½ - 4 hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area and 45 minutes from either the Red Bluff or Redding airports.
Constructed in 1998, the air-conditioned lodge style home is a spacious ranch-style structure built in the fashion of grand western mountain homes of the 19th century. The structure is built entirely of wood cut from our forest and milled on the property.
There are 5 bedroom suites, each with a private entrance and bath. Three bedrooms have one queen bed each, one has two double beds one has 4 twin beds.
The 1,000 square ft. Great Room has 17 ft. ceilings and a large 6 ft. wide Rumford Fireplace. Its French doors open to a spectacularly tranquil view of the large pond and private forest.
The Dining Room extends off of both the Great Room and the Kitchen. It has 2 old iron chandeliers and an 18 ft. pine table that comfortably seats 18-20 people.
The fully equipped kitchen has a spacious gas island stove with an eating bar. Adjacent to the kitchen is complete laundry room.
The home is completely encircled by a spacious covered porch that is accessible from all rooms. The entire porch is secure with a childproof gate and rail system.
The 1000 square ft. sun deck extends over our large, private (catch and release) mountain pond. The pond is full of large and feisty rainbow trout (some up to 3-5 lbs.) and is both home and recreation to a variety of wildlife including Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, and Wild Turkeys.
The property is traversed by Rock Creek, an artesian stream that runs cold and clear all year. It is home to small and aggressive native rainbow trout.

The home is a destination in itself. However, If you want to explore the surrounding area, The following attractions are all within an hours drive: Lake Shasta, Whiskytown Lake, the Sacramento River, Lake Almanor, Mount Lassen and Lassen National Park, Hat Creek as well as numerous mountain creeks and streams. The historic towns of Red Bluff and
Redding.
