The property is situated directly on the Pacific coast with a beautiful white sand beach called Playa Coco spanning nearly one mile directly in front of your Villa. Playa Coco is one of the most spectacular beaches in Nicaragua.

This property is exactly what you need to unwind on a secluded beach! Your spacious 2000+ square foot luxury Villa offers unparalleled proximity to a world class beach - and it is an END UNIT with the most natural light within this small development. Only local materials were used to produce this magnificent place, which gives it a unique feel that sets it apart from many other vacation homes in Nicaragua. The furniture is made from local wood and custom made. The unit comes fully furnished with all the amenities you could want, including a flat panel LCD TV, Satellite TV, superior sound system, wireless internet connections, fully stocked kitchen and more!

The rooftop deck, master bedroom deck and living room patio are all facing the beach so you can enjoy the sun setting on the Pacific Ocean while you reflect on the natural beauty of Playa Coco. Local trees provide natural shade during the day and privacy. You will find that with the onsite pool and the ocean literally steps away from the front door, you won’t want to leave this tranquilo life!

If you choose to venture outside of your Villa, the most popular tourist destination in Nicaragua is just 25 minutes to the north - San Juan del Sur. In SJdS, you will find many shops, great restaurants, and a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the town. Closer to your Villa is The Wildlife Reserve La Flor where you can see Olive Ridley turtles. If you come at the right time, you can witness thousands of turtles laying eggs, or better yet - newly hatched turtles crawling back to the ocean! You will also find that some turtles use Playa Coco as their local grounds.

Your vacation Villa is brand new, so come and be one of the first ones to stay here and enjoy Playa Coco. The finishing touches were just completed mid-year 2009!

the area is amazing, the owners are great no problems. You will have the beach to yourself and the complex is very quiet. Staff members on property are always willing to help you and it is very secure and safe (never any problems). The condo and property is wonderful, you won't be dissappointed. Don't forget the bug spray, this is a tropical area. Don't forget to tip grounds people, security staff they deserve it and will go out of there way to see you enjoy your stay.

The set up - For anyone who feels insecure about making an internet booking from a website let me reassure you that Dave is a fantastic guy. He is an attentive business man and looked after our booking perfectly. Dave, thank you so much for making this one of the easiest holidays to set up. The arrival - The complex staff were all ready for our arrival. We were escorted to the condo and got a brief orientation tour. A/C, lights, hot water, t.v. etc. Staff also gathered a few items from the local store for me while we settled in. Through out the staff Janel and staff did an outstanding job caring for us and the property. The Condo - I will not repeat the advertisment for the condo. It is accuate to a tee. In reality the pictures don't to the place justice. While its easy to find 'favourable' camera angles to make a place more attractive than it is, you will not find that here. This condo is in fantasctic shape! The kitchen is very well supplied with tools and appliances as well. The washer/dryer is handy as well. Additionally, you can hire cook/maid services for under $20 a day. Just a short aside, many of the condo owners spend a good deal of time at the complex. We met some wonderful people. They take great pride in the complex and work hard to keep it in good shape. The Beach and area - Coco Beach is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Its location away from SJDS makes for a peaceful existence. Local residents and the few other tourists were all friendly. Never, ever did I feel unsafe in and around Coco Beach. (we travelled inland to small villages and down the coast to the border) The Conclusion - This is a 'can't go wrong' property. We enjoyed an amazing vacation here.

This is most likely the best place to stay in Playa Coco and the safest in the San Juan area due to its remote location. The area is safely secured with a fenced perimeter, but is open to the beach. The area is also patrolled at night by staff which provides a heightened sense of security when sleeping or away. Be smart at night anywhere in Playa Coco or San Jaun del Sur; one family was robbed walking home from dinner, but it was at night, further down on the beach and away from this property. As the pictures show, the landscaping is pretty, the beachfront is beautiful and the reclining chairs at the edge of the beach are perfect for catching a nice sunset over the Pacific. There is plenty of wildlife. One day we saw howler monkeys climbing through the trees. Another day we visited Flora National Park to see baby sea turtles hatch and (help them) make their way to the ocean; a must see! Most of the residents swam in the ocean, but a couple of days their were jellyfish; so use caution, but the waves are fun. There is always the swimming pool if braving the sea isn't your thing. On the weekend, a group built a large bonfire on the beach which was nice to enjoy at night. All ages can enjoy this area. For the end-unit townhome itself, it was clean and ready to use. You will need to purchase every kitchen consumable you would want for cooking or eating/drinking, but the pots, pans, cutlery, and silver/glassware are there waiting for you. We had a problem with the A/C when we arrived and two days later the water heater broke. Both times, the staff fixed the problem immediately. They were very attentive to making sure your stay was pleasant and not hampered by facility problems; it does help to speak Spanish. If deciding on a rental car, four-wheel drive may help if it rains. Make copies of your drivers license and rental car insurance for when you get pulled over by the policia; they take their traffic laws very seriously, unless you have some cash to offer. Print Google map directions to and from the airport before you leave your home country. If you are going to Nicaragua, this is definitely a good choice.

The house is beautiful, with all the amenities, the beach is amazingly beautiful with only a handful of other people on it, and the owners are great to deal with! A++++ rental for anyone looking to get away and just relax completely without missing the comforts of home. Thanks again to the Dave and his wife for sharing their piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful visit to Coco and the lovely condo. We enjoyed so much the surroundings, the beach, and walking to dinner in the sand. We had our 2 and 4 year old with us and they had a great time running and swimming, we even saw a baby sea turtle and we walked with him to shore. We would love to go back and visit Coco! I hope it doesn't change, it is perfect the way it is.

We stayed for the second time at Playa Coco with my in laws and daughter. So relaxing and beautiful. Started the day out and ended the day with a beautiful private beach sunset. We rarely saw people on the beach, it was very secluded and relaxing. While there we found out the turtles Dec-February so if you go in December you see both turtles nesting and baby's hatching. Will definitely go back during December sometime. Definitely becoming a family favorite. So beautiful! The house was perfect, everything was awesome! Would definitely highly recommend it!

THis is a beautiful, peaceful, private beach location. We spent our days playing with our kids, swimming in the ocean and resting by the pool. We loved the house. It was very clean and spacious for our size family. We had our 20 month old baby with us and had to keep a close eye on him around the stairs and balcony area. Other than that, this is a very family friendly location. It would also be a wonderful honeymoon location. We cannot wait to visit again. The peace of this slow paced beach was just what we needed. The owner was helpful, flexible and very professional. The house is as beautiful as pictured.

We had a great time. This was our second time staying at the Coco town homes and you can't beat the location and amenities. Really beautiful, spacious apartment. The grounds are meticulously maintained. We had the beach for ourselves except for the occasional pigs and horses. Spectacular sunsets and starts every night. Janel helped us arrange horses which we road around La Flor and checking out Howler monkeys. We were also very pleasantly surprised to see that the road to Coco is now 1/3 of the way paved. Meg

I spent a week in this lovely spot at the end of January with a group of friends and I must say I was more than a little impressed. The condo itself is modern, well-equipped, and exceptionally maintained while the location and overall layout of the property itself could not lend itself better to a truly relaxed, beach escape. The white sand beach is clean and uncrowded, the pool and grounds offer a gorgeous view toward the beach itself (you really cannot find a better place to watch the sunset than your own back yard here!), and the property staff is exceedingly friendly and available to assist with any questions/needs that may come up. So really, the hardest decision one had to make all week was "where do I want to sit and relax NOW?" I believe that's the definition of a great vacation. I can't recommend this property enough. We will be back!

Staying at Playa Coco was an exceptional experience. We had high expectations for this condo based on the photos and video we had viewed and we were not disappointed. The grounds around this small complex are meticulous and the unit itself was stunning. We loved the contemporary wood furniture and the quality of interior finishes. Every room was spotless when we arrived. Part of the reason we picked this place was due to the fact that it had central A/C. I am happy to report that we never needed to turn it on as the breeze was ideal for sleeping. The owner was great to deal with - very responsive, honorable and informative. The beach was one of our favorites from the trip - clean, private and just enough surf for bodysurfing (my wife's first time). Walking to dinner along the beach was wonderful. Food at Puesta del Sol was good. Some expats we met complained about the prices there but they were still lower than back home. We had heard great things about Lugs but unfortunately it was closed for the week. Looks like a fun place to toss a few cold ones back while enjoying the sunset. The road to Playa Coco from SJDS is paved for about 5 km and the rest is rough in spots. We maximized the experience by renting an old Land Cruiser from John Crilly in town. The paving is supposed to be completed in 2012 so we will be interested to check it out on our next visit. Horseback riding with Rancho Chilamate was one of the highlights of the trip. Forget everything you've ever known about such excursions. We had a blast zip-lining with Da Flying Frog crew. The view from the top of the mountain was worth the price of admission. Overall, a fantastic experience and we look forward to our next visit to Playa Coco.

                      Owner info

                      Year Purchased: 2008

About the owner: My wife Karen and I were recently married and we live in San Francisco, California. We have always wanted to own a home in a foreign country and now our dream has come true!

Why the Owner Chose San Juan Del Sur:
We love to travel and fell in love with Nicaragua while traveling down there in 2006. Playa Coco is one of the most spectacular beaches in Central America and we really enjoy that it's both close enough to town (San Juan del Sur) yet far enough such that it provides for a virtually private beach our home overlooks.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our home is just minutes away from La Flor Reserve where the Olive-Ridley turtles come by the thousands to lay their eggs. Our home is beach front and you can walk to the ocean in literally seconds. You will also witness some of the most fantastic sunsets over the ocean on a daily basis. This is truly paradise!
