Your spacious 2000+ square foot luxury Villa offers unparalleled proximity to a world class beach - and it is an END UNIT with the most natural light within this small development. Only local materials were used to produce this magnificent place, which gives it a unique feel that sets it apart from many other vacation homes in Nicaragua. The furniture is made from local wood and custom made. The unit comes fully furnished with all the amenities you could want, including a flat panel LCD TV, Satellite TV, superior sound system, wireless internet connections, fully stocked kitchen and more!

In SJdS, you will find many shops, great restaurants, and a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the town. Closer to your Villa is The Wildlife Reserve La Flor where you can see Olive Ridley turtles. If you come at the right time, you can witness thousands of turtles laying eggs, or better yet - newly hatched turtles crawling back to the ocean! You will also find that some turtles use Playa Coco as their local grounds.
Your vacation Villa is brand new, so come and be one of the first ones to stay here and enjoy Playa Coco. The finishing touches were just completed mid-year 2009!

Why the Owner Chose San Juan Del Sur
We love to travel and fell in love with Nicaragua while traveling down there in 2006. Playa Coco is one of the most spectacular beaches in Central America and we really enjoy that it's both close enough to town (San Juan del Sur) yet far enough such that it provides for a virtually private beach our home overlooks.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our home is just minutes away from La Flor Reserve where the Olive-Ridley turtles come by the thousands to lay their eggs. Our home is beach front and you can walk to the ocean in literally seconds. You will also witness some of the most fantastic sunsets over the ocean on a daily basis. This is truly paradise!
This is where our Villa sits - on the South Side of Playa Coco just off the Coastal Highway

My wife Karen and I were recently married and we live in San Francisco, California. We have always wanted to own a home in a foreign country and now our dream has come true!

Staying at Playa Coco was an exceptional experience. We had high expectations for this condo based on the photos and video we had viewed and we were not disappointed. The grounds around this small complex are meticulous and the unit itself was stunning. We loved the contemporary wood furniture and the quality of interior finishes. Every room was spotless when we arrived. Part of the reason we picked this place was due to the fact that it had central A/C. I am happy to report that we never needed to turn it on as the breeze was ideal for sleeping. The owner was great to deal with - very responsive, honorable and informative. The beach was one of our favorites from the trip - clean, private and just enough surf for bodysurfing (my wife's first time). Walking to dinner along the beach was wonderful. Food at Puesta del Sol was good. Some expats we met complained about the prices there but they were still lower than back home. We had heard great things about Lugs but unfortunately it was closed for the week. Looks like a fun place to toss a few cold ones back while enjoying the sunset. The road to Playa Coco from SJDS is paved for about 5 km and the rest is rough in spots. We maximized the experience by renting an old Land Cruiser from John Crilly in town. The paving is supposed to be completed in 2012 so we will be interested to check it out on our next visit. Horseback riding with Rancho Chilamate was one of the highlights of the trip. Forget everything you've ever known about such excursions. We had a blast zip-lining with Da Flying Frog crew. The view from the top of the mountain was worth the price of admission. Overall, a fantastic experience and we look forward to our next visit to Playa Coco.

Our family stayed at playa el coco for nine nights. We originally were booked for a week, but our kids (and us)were having such a great time that we stayed longer, and the owners were great in dealing with our changes. The condo was well cared for and the staff there helpful. The beach is beautiful and well worth the drive down the rutted road. The locals treated us kindly. Bring your favorite foods as it is a bit of a trip into town for major resupplying. We cannot wait to go back and visit again.

We went to Nicaragua for the first time with our 5 year old daughter and another family. We stayed at this beatiful place on Playa Coco and absolutely loved it! Our daughter was able to swim in the pool, swim in the ocean and play on the beach every day. We even saw a baby turtle making its way back to the ocean one night as we watched the sunset on the ocean. Playa Coco is a virtually private beach and we only encountered a handful of people the whole week we were there. Just a short hike to the south, we found two pristine beaches with absolutely nobody on them. The beachfront condo itself was really well done. We had plenty of room, all the amenities and a view of the beach and ocean. I was even able to catch an NFL game on satellite TV one lazy afternoon! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, great beaches and a great place to stay, I would highly recommend this place. It's close enough to San Juan del Sur that you can get there fairly quickly for other activities, but just far enough that you won't find an abundance of people on Playa Coco. We hope to go back there some day and stay again - and preferably before this place becomes too popular. Mike and Esperanza

I spent 4 relaxing days on the beach at Playa Coco with my mom and two friends. We walked the beach, body surfed, went horseback riding, and had an amazing experience with the baby turtles at Refugio La Flor. The facilities were luxurious, the staff incredibly helpful, and the location idyllic. Make sure to stop at Pali in San Juan del Sur or at a bigger market on the way as there really aren't many options once you get out there. The fruit and vegetable truck came by often though and we were able to buy some nice produce. It was a bit of a drive but it was completely worth it.

This is a beautiful condo & property. The house is well-equipped and the furniture is extraordinarily gorgeous -- made of wood, in Nicaragua. The beach was very private and safe. People were friendly but respected our privacy. Walking on the beach I met the owner of a near-by restaurant and told him we were coming to dinner that night as it was my daughter's birthday. The restaurant surprised us by having prepared a birthday cake for her -- and did not charge extra for this. The pool is also a nice option & offered some shade. This is one of the nicest houses we have visited in Nicaragua.

We stayed the week after Semana Santa, there were only a few other houses occupied. It was soooo wonderful. Relaxing but yet with all the modern conveniences you'd find in a regular resort. We loved that we were able to cook and that they had a pool as well as the beach was so close and completely empty. The furnishings and house were so nice and beautiful. They also a grill by the pool area which we hadn't anticipated, we'll probably grill there next time. Overall our favorite vacation in Nicaragua! Definately a keeper! I would give it a 10 across the board!

We had a wonderful three days at this villa on the beach in Playa Coco. The location is ideal for couples or family and friends to get away from it all and enjoy a relaxing time at the beach. One thing that this beach doesn't have is crowds. It's great for a morning walk and to watch a sunset or just for playing in the water. We had an opportunity to see a turtle returning to the sea early in the morning which was the highlight of my visit. Also every day in the late afternoon the green parrots fill the trees overhead. The condo is very comfortable and has everything that you need to cater for yourself - you will need to stock up on groceries before you arrive at the villa - the Pali in SJDS has a good supply of food and drink. The beds are comfortable and the staff is helpful in making sure you are comfortable. I would definitely like to come back to this villa if I am in this area again.

Nicaragua has many beautiful beaches but I can say that El Coco is one of the best. I stayed 3 nights at this apartment. The beach is almost private with no crowds and the waves are just perfect. The surf is safe since there are no strong currents. To complement the natural beauty, you can stay in this GREAT apartment. It is really beautiful and has all the amenities and comfort you will need. The central air keeps the tropical heat and humidity outside; the apartment is tastefully decorated with simple but modern lines. The complex is very safe and even have electric plants for the units just in case there are power failures. Once you are there, you will realize you are experiencing the privilege of being at a pristine and private beach, AND staying at a luxury apartment, a great combination that few people are lucky enough to experience. Usually, beaches this good are either crowded or do not have good places to stay. I am looking forward to go to El Coco again but I hope this time will be at least for an entire week!!
