"Luana Ohana" is a super cute, newly remodeled guest cottage, nestled in a little piece of jungle, on the South side of Kauai. "Luana" means "to enjoy pleasant surroundings and associates, be at leisure, comfort, content". And "Ohana" means "family" and is often used in place of "mother-in-law house" to mean a "guest house".

This is a totally self-contained unit including separate driveway and parking at the end of a very quiet, private road. There is tropical landscaping with papaya, banana, avocado, plumeria, etc. Spa-like bathroom and luxuriously appointed bedroom guarantee a romantic retreat.

Fully equipped kitchen has everything you might need. Including Kauai Coffee and filters! For you chef's there is a full-size gas stove/oven or use the gas BBQ on the lanai if you prefer. Either way you're sure to have a pleasant cooking experience.

Sunny Poipu is only 10 minutes away. Poipu Beach has been voted a top-ten beach in the world many years running. Great snorkeling and beautiful sunsets (even whales, in season!). The unit comes complete with Beach towels, Beach chairs and umbrella, Boogie Boards, snorkel gear, a cooler and there's even access to individual and tandem kayaks from the owner!

  • Our stay at Luana Ohana was absolutely perfect! The cottage was so nice and clean, it had everything we needed and more. It was such a treat that all the beach gear we needed was provided. Kim and Debi were just a phone call away for any needs that we had, they were so friendly and helpful. The location was great and you can't beat the price. I recommend Luana Ohana to anyone who is visiting Kauai!

  • We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was very comfortable and private. It provided all the conveniences of home and then some (I loved lounging on the couch/chaise). Debi and Kim were very friendly, and southern Kauai was charming. The cottage is located in a pretty area with easy access to Waimea Canyon. I definitely recommend it!

  • This cottage made our Kauai vacation perfect. It is simply and elegantly decorated with all the added perks of a house instead of a hotel. It is so comfortable (and has a great bathroom!) and private. The available beach gear and cooler were an added bonus. Eating breakfast on the lanai each morning made our trip relaxed and personal. Kim and Debi were the perfect hostesses. At the end of each day, we found ourselves saying "Lets go home" which was so different (better) from previous hotel vacations.   • Luana Ohana made our vacation perfect! It is in a wonderful location only a few minutes from the Poipu area beaches, but in a very quiet and private neighborhood. We loved having our own little home to come back to every day, and eating out in the garden was so peaceful. The house is very clean and comfortable. We could not have expected better: the house is very comfortable and has everything one could possibly need, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful and peaceful.   • Luana Ohana is charming, clean, beautiful decor, private, quiet, great hosts, kids enjoyed the pool, centrally located, near beaches, lanai was relaxing.Extras provided were very useful and appreciated. Very comfortable for the 2 adults and 2 young children in our group. Would definately stay here again and looking forward to when we can return to the Garden Isle. Mahalo nui loa to Kim and Debbie.

  • This place was lovely to stay in. The owners really go all out to supply you with everything you could want to have a wonderful stay. The house was equiped with a BBQ, beach towels, booggie-boards, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, 2 TVs, a full kitchen... Word got around the tinsy town that one of us had a cold, so the owner actually brought over a body scrub which helped with the stuffed nose! They really go over and above their duties. The lanai in the back adds a beautiful room to the house, where we had all of our meals. Paradise.
