Stay someplace fun. The Fish house comfortably accommodates family and friends in a great location with unique architectural character and many amenities. Completed in 2006, this place is a great escape. The open living/kitchen/dining space upstairs is like being in a tree house with a twist. Downstairs are two identical bedrooms with queen beds, closets, built in storage drawers, and wall mounted TV/DVD. In between the two queen bedrooms is a four twin bed bunk room for the kids or whoever…with private reading lights and a sliding barn type door. Two full baths with stone floors as well as a laundry room are also conveniently located on the lower level.
Upstairs is an open living room, dining area and full kitchen, along with another bathroom, ascend the ships ladder up from the second floor deck to the 3rd level sun deck with covered trellis. Hang out in the hammock or lay back in the Adirondack chairs up in the trees with a peek to the ocean. Wireless internet access is included throughout, with wired access points in strategic locations for added convenience.
The house is a short stroll…450 steps, to the best piece of beach there is. Eastern Lake flows into the gulf and makes a safe haven for floating in the shallow current or chasing fish with your net. It is also a great place to skim board, kayak(included) or hit the surf. A community pool is available for guest use as well in season.
If you don’t feel like cooking in the full size, fully equipped kitchen or barbequeing on the grill, there are plenty of nearby restaurants and conveniences from Grayton to Seaside to Watercolor…you will be at the center of all the best.
This is a great value. Save your money for shopping, eating out, having fun….or stay two weeks….you deserve it.

Fish House, Stay Someplace Cool
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Eastern Lake
We had been vacationing for years here with our two boys.
The Eastern Lake Beach is the coolest place we found.
We also liked the natural setting of the lot we selected.
We nestled the house in and kept the trees and vegetation up close.
The Unique Benefits at this House
You may want to bike or run east to Deer Lake, or take advantage of the dune walks at Water sound.
Seaside is west about two miles. There are some great trails on the north side of 30A where you can see some beautiful old cypress trees. Use the kayak to do some exploring as well. Get off the beaten path.
Owner's Map of Eastern Lake
We live, work and our boys go to school in Atlanta.
I am an Architect, I designed the house.
We enjoy sharing it with friends and others who appreciate similar things...
Comfort, simplicity, beauty and time to relax sometimes.

Our family (2 adults and three daughters 12, 13, and 15 y.o.) all had a great time at the beach while staying at this wonderful beach house. The house itself was modern yet casual with beautiful architecture, artistic details, and nice appliances. The rental was very clean with lots of natural light in a private, natural setting. We walked or rode bikes to the pool and beach everyday and even rode bikes to Seaside for an outdoor movie and live music two different evenings. While the beautiful ocean water, beaches, and Eastern Lake are the main attraction here, it was nice to have this beautiful house to return to for relaxing evenings after a day at the beach. Also, the owner was polite, easy, friendly, and a pleasure to work with regarding arranging the rental details. We hope to return to this rental next year.

i've been coming to 30A for about 5 years and this is by far the best place i've stayed. it has everything you could ask for . . . modern conveniences in a secluded and laid back atmosphere. of course, it doesn't hurt that the owner/architect has personally selected every amenity for its ultimate efficiency. i described the house to a friend as "very ikea" . . . which is a huge compliment in my book. i hope to stay here again very soon.

We had a wonderful time at The Fish House! The house is beautiful and well maintained. The porch and top deck are really neat and provide an excellent place to spend the evening. The walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes and doesn't cross/follow any busy roads so bringing children along isn't a problem. The community pool provided a nice break from the waves and is very close to the house. The nearby lake is also very neat, we took the Kayak out on it and had a great time. The area surrounding the house couldn't be any better, all the necessary amenities are within a couple of miles and going to neighboring Seaside, Watercolor and Rosemary Beach provide a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. The restaurants near the House are excellent. The nearby Gravel Road Restaurant has excellent food for a great price. For a fine dining atmosphere, the Cafe Thirty-A offers great food and service. We also really enjoyed the Red Bar in nearby Grayton Beach. We couldn't have been more pleased with the Fish House. The house itself is incredible and the location and amenities are top notch. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and wouldn't hesitate to vacation here again.

We have stayed at the Fish House on two occasions. Our first trip was with another couple with children. The house was ideal for this; the bedrooms providing for the adults, and the bunk room handling the kids. The second trip involved our extended family, with three generations: younger children, teenagers, adult siblings, spouses and a grandparent. The house adapted easily to meet everyone's needs. We regularly prepare and share meals in. The large, well designed kitchen and the huge trestle dining table made this a pleasure, allowing us to host friends and visitors. The loft-like living area and the huge adjoining decks and balconies allowed for large groups on these social occasions, and a variety of spaces to get away and have private time during normal use. The upper trellised deck with its private, custom stair and incredible views was a favorite for this. The nearby beach access provides entry to what is arguably the very best spot on 30-A: the Eastern Lake outlet. The beach here is huge and uncrowded, and the lake provides views and options that can't be matched. Additionally, the 30-A bike trail is close by, as are the Cassine and Point Washington network of biking trails. Deer Lake State Park and its pristine dunes are also nearby. Golf, fishing, sight seeing, casual and upscale restaurants: all are in close proximity. The Fish House provides ease, adaptability, high style design and an ideal location for a very reasonable price point. Our successes in the past recommend it for an upcoming repeat trip.
