This exceptional, large property nestles in the midst of vineyards in the middle of the country, less than 2 kms from Carpentras, a lively town and the historical capital of the Comtat Venaissin, 30 kms north of Avignon. It offers unique views of the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail.
The property is conveniently situated at approximately 15 kilometers from the Autoroute du Soleil (A7), 30 minutes from the TGV station in Avignon, and one hour from the airport, Marseille Provence.
The property consists of a stone building dating from the 16th century which joins the house built in the 18th century. This offers approximately 300m2 of liveable accommodation on 2 levels.
On the ground floor a large entrance hall housing a ping-pong table, leads to the reception rooms, via a laundry room.
Two large rooms make up this reception area. The first consists of a equipped kitchen and a dining room separated from the kitchen by an open barbecue fireplace. The second is a large drawing-room with an old fire-place with a ceiling height of more than 3 meters and old woodwork.
These two reception rooms lead out to the garden and the shaded pergola.
An original stone staircase leads to the first floor which accommodates 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
One bedroom situated on half floor facing south with view over the pool and the vines is equipped with a double bed (160 cm) and has its own shower-room en suite with WC.
The first floor consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with WC. The Master bedroom is equipped with a King-size double bed (180 cm) and has the advantage of eastern views towards the Mt Ventoux and a southern view over the pool and the vines. En-suite, there is a large bathroom with bath, shower and WC which gives again an easterly view towards the Mt Ventoux, and to the north a view of the Dentelles de Montmirail.
Two further bedrooms on the same landing are furnished with double beds (140 cm) and together with the master bedroom can be closed off to make a private suite if required.
The fourth bedroom has 3 beds (2x120cm and 1x90cm). A separate bathroom with WC serves this bedroom as well as the two other bedrooms on this floor, if necessary.
The sixth bedroom measuring 56m2 has its own access by a staircase that leads directly up from the main entrance. It is on the first floor and has its own bath and double hand-basins. A shower room with WC is situated at the bottom of the staircase and completes the sanitary equipment for this bedroom. It is furnished with a King-size 4 poster bed (1,80m), a sofa and there is ample space for an extra child’s bed.
Thus equipped, the house is ideally fit to accommodate between 10 and 12 persons.
