  We stayed in this beautiful apartment for a week in February. The reality of this home surpassed even the description and the photos. Every comfort for guests has been considered, and the place is beautifully decorated. I like to cook, so I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and lovely patio with a traditional Argentine grill (parrilla). Although, truth be told, there are so many good restaurants in the area with reasonable prices and a lot of delicious Argentine malbec to drink, we didn’t do much cooking! We appreciated the convenience of being centrally-located near the theaters and public transportation. There is a wonderful department store a block away (the Corte Ingles), where I was able to find a great pair of shoes, and grocery and wine stores nearby, with a bakery just across the street. It’s a busy urban area, and we enjoyed feeling a part of this vibrant city. Roberto, the manager, was very helpful throughout the visit. We would highly recommend this home to anyone, and would love to go back again.

  Spent a week in this luxious apartment in March. This beautiful place should not be called an apartment since it is so large and comfortable it is like a full sized house in the US. The furniture is extraordinary. It is filled with classic, comfortable pieces that fit the apartment’s old world charm. The nicely organized kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation and in addition you are able to grill on a typical Argentinian outdoor grill in the spacious courtyard. The courtyard is filled with local tile and is sun filled during the day. There is not one thing you could want that is not furnished in this fabulous apt. We stayed in the front bedroom facing the street and our friends stayed in the master suite. We did not use the extra bedroom in the back of the unit, which was formerly a maid’s space. That suite is large and would be perfect for guests or children. I can’t say enough about the perfect location. It is comparable to staying near Times Square in NYC. This location is a lively area near the theaters and wonderful restaurants with exciting and interesting street life. It was great to go out walking at night in the area to be part of such an exhilerating city. We felt perfectly safe at all times so just use cautions as you would use in any large city. We easily walked to other neighborhoods. Don’t miss Palermo, Rocoleta and San Telmo. They are very interesting and have nice restaurants. We enjoy walking but if you don’t, cabs are very inexpensive compared to the States. There is a grocery store close by and a fantastic bakery across the street, as well as a wine shop. At the end of the day, I soaked my weary NJ bones in the huge tub with a glass of wine, while my husband manned the grill. The beds are comfortable and the linens exquisite. Where have you stayed that you have had your own ice machine? We do not speak Spanish so Roberto, the manager, was our lifesaver. Owners could not have done more for us. We will definitely be back to this exciting city and gracious apartment in this perfect location.

  The appartment is very well maintained: clean and complete in terms of furnishings, as well as kitchen equipment. There are personal touches throughout which add comfort and style. The indoor patio is a plus. The downsides are related to location: Tlacahuano is dirty, rundown and noisy, making the front bedroom challenging for sleeping. The building itself has seen better times. Corrientes is also a bit down-at-the-heels, but the area improves as you go north towards Santa Fe. Difficult for very young children unless they sleep in the main bedroom area.

  We have just returned from spending the last 10 days in this exceptional apartment. As beautiful as the photographs of this property are, they simply cannot do it justice! Everything about our stay here exceeded our expectations. Our personal interaction with the owner & his property managers in BA made both the planning of our trip and our actual time there a complete pleasure. This apartment, superbly located in the Theater District, is nothing short of extraordinary. It is elegant, beautiful, and full of old world charm, yet warm and inviting. The home is beautifully maintained and very well furnished. It was such a pleasure to start our days in this apartment and come home to it every evening. We were within minutes of everything we needed and were able to explore all of the barrios on foot, (although there is an abundance of cabs, that will transport you virtually anywhere for nominal fares.) If you are planning a trip to the exciting and beautiful city of Buenos Aries, look no farther for accommodations. Staying in this fantastic apartment will only make your time here more comfortable, more special and more memorable. When we return to BA, we would clearly return to this magnificent property.

  We stayed in this gorgeous apartment for a week this past May. I can't overstate the beauty of the apartment...or how ideal the location is. Talcahuano off of Corrientes is like staying a block off of Times Square in NYC! You are right in the center of everything and yet the apartment is very quiet and peaceful. We felt very at home and comfortable; it was more like "living" in B.A. than "visiting", which is exactly what we look for in a trip to a new city/culture. We easily walked to all of the main neighborhoods - Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo, Puerto Madero. If you are in the market to take in some shows, you could not be in a better location - most of the theaters are within a couple blocks of the apartment. Oh, and we passed the exquisite Teatro Colon daily on our morning walks...it's just a block-and-a-half away! There also are great local food establishments within a few blocks like Cuartito Pizzeria and El Norte. Varme and Roberto were wonderful hosts. When we returned I immediately contacted some friends and told them that if they ever are traveling to Buenos Aires, that there is no question that they MUST stay in this apartment - no reason to look further. Highly Recommended.

  we just got back from argentina, staying at this beautiful, large and very elegant furnished apartment, it was 5 of us, so it was perfect, close to lots of restaurants, bakery, grocery stores, and of course to Calle Florida, we certainly recommend this apartment. and some day we will go back and certainly would stay at this place. the managers, Varme y roberto were very nice, helpful, and recommended excellant places to eat, shop. felicito a los duenos por su excellente gusto con este lugar.

  My husband and I rented this apt. for 9 weeks from Feb.-April 2010. We loved our "home away from home". There is lots of room with an elegant old world atmosphere yet comfortable furniture to relax in. There are all sorts of thoughtful extras, like a really well stocked kitchen, books and magazines to read and a great binder of information both for the apt. and Buenos Aires. The apt. has generous storage space for suitcases and your clothes in a dressing room off the master bedroom. The bedroom itself is large and very comfortable with high quality mattress and gorgeous linens. The apt. is clean and lovingly cared for. Eating dinner on the patio by candlelight with the soft trickle of water from the "Lion" fountain while listening to our Argentinian Tango C.D's is a wonderful memory. We found the location ideal with close access to several subway lines and many buses. (Guidance on which one to use is thoughtfully provided by the apt. owner).There are many grocery stores, a good bakery and a wine shop very nearby and restaurants are all around you.Cinemas and live theatre are just down the street. It is a busy area, especially at night, but in your bedroom haven, you rarely hear any noise. We would heartily recommend this apt. to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.

  My family of 4 stayed at this apartment in November 2009. We absolutely loved it! All the rooms surround a central terrace - even one of the bathrooms with huge whirlpool tub. There is a 3rd bedroom (called the servants quarters) up a spiral staircase behind the kitchen. The kids loved the apartment and Rodney (the owner) was incredible. He arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport and gave us quite a few suggestions on what to do while in Buenos Aires. As recommended, we went to the old fashion zoo, a quaint dinner/performance at "The Library" restaurant, saw a Tango show which my daughter (and we) thought was amazing. The highlight was a children's puppet theatre which was so good we went twice! Even though the entire performance was done in Spanish, for kids, the puppet production was something to be seen. This apartment is in the middle of the theatre district, central to everything and we really felt like we were part of the city. I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to be back to Bueno Aires many, many more times.
