The home is professionally decorated and is kept expecially clean, therefore Smoking and Pets are NOT allowed in the house or on the property. Designed by Leland Decker, one of Austin's finest Architects, in the Texas Island Style of homes found throughout the South. It is similar in appearance and function to the homes that made Seaside, Florida famous.
The BLUE MARLIN BEACH HOUSE is a wonderful, single-story cottage, perfect for a romantic get-away for a couple, a great fishing trip for friends, or an easy vacation or escape for a family or group of up to six people (each bedroom has a private bath). A short walk through the dunes and over a boardwalk leads one to a nice sandy beach, and the pool is close too. Port Aransas, the Harbor, Mustang Island State Park, the Texas Birding Trail, many notable beaches, and numerous key launch sites are only a few minutes away. Port Aransas Airport is only 2 minutes away.
The owners carefully made the BLUE MARLIN BEACH HOUSE everything a beach house should be: personal, colorful, cheerful, durable, convenient, practical, comfortable, compatible, friendly, and fun. The BLUE MARLIN BEACH HOUSE has three cozy & comfortable bedroom suites with private baths, a full kitchen, dining room, living room, screened porch, deck above the garage with view, wrap-around decks with outdoor shower (hot and cold water), and a large covered front porch.
All bedroom suites have private baths with queen size beds, wonderful matresses dressed in 100% fine cotton sheets, down comforters, and old fashion cotton quilts; ensuring our guest a good nights sleep. The master bedroom has a Select Comfort Sleep Number matress. French windows to overlook the screened porch and a deep soaking tub create a cozy master bedroom. The blue bedroom has a Plantation Pine Poster bed with a wonderful Spring Air ComfortFlex matress. The pink bedroom has a Hand Fashioned bed with a soft and comfy pillow top matress.
A modern kitchen is fully-equipped with professional cookware, Fiesta dishes and flatware, stackable washer/dryer, and two Fry Daddy's for a fish fry on the screened porch or decks. The living room is fully furnished and has a queen-size sleeper sofa, and a Toshiba TV/DVD/VCR/CD player. Other useful toys and items include a portable single ping-pong table, hammock, charcoal BBQ grill, fishing rod holders, a good selection of books, videos VCR's and DVD's, as well as tips from the owners as where to fish, beachcomb, explore, dine, shop, buy fresh seafood, and have fun.
Port Aransas on the Texas Gulf Coast is an enjoyable and easy to reach get away destination; and the Blue Marlin Beach House is the best place to settle into while there. Check out the Port Aransas website for island activities.
RENTAL POLICY SUMMARY:
1. Smoking and Pets are NOT allowed in the house or on the property.
2. To hold your reservations please email or call in your request. We will confirm your request & dates, then email or send you a Rental Agreement. Your reservations are secured upon our reciept of a completed and signed rental agreement and advance payment of 50% of Total Amount Due (check or money order) within 7 days of booking, with the balance due 15 days prior to checkin.
3. Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to scheduled arrival for a refund of the deposit less a $200.00 fee. There are no refunds for early departures. Full refund for Hurricane evaucations.
4. The neighborhood deed restrictions limit us to one rental per week therefore we have a four night minimum stay and weekly rentals of six nights take priority. Check-in time is Noon and check-out time is 3:00pm, unless arrangements are made.
6. The maximum occupancy is 6 people, and the guest of record must be over 25 years of age to register and pay.
7. Guest will be charged the full cost to repair any damage to the property or replace any missing items.
8. The house will be clean and ready at check-in time, and the lease fee includes an inspection and basic housekeeping immediately after checkout. Maid service during your stay can be arranged for an additional fee.

- The Blue Marlin is located in a beach side neighborhood connected to the Gulf of Mexico by a Boardwalk to Beach. We are 500 feet off the beach, so one can feel the salt in the air and hear the surf breaking. There is a view of the ocean from the garage balcony.
