Our location is the best in the resort for year round enjoyment.
We are situated on what is known as The Ridge with the most spectacular views and convenient access to some of the best of Wintergreen. Our view is simply breathtaking, sitting at a 3300 foot elevation facing east. On a clear day you will gaze over hundreds of miles of layers and layers of mountains. You may choose to wake up early to catch the sun rising over the eastern horizon or look down to see the morning fog covering valley below as the mountains poke out from above ( see the featured picture we took one morning). The ski slopes are also able to be viewed from the front windows. With a 12 degree F cooler temperature difference the winter is brisk and the summers are pleasantly cool.
Wintergreen provides you the ability to just relax and absorb all its surrounding beauty or you can jump out to take advantage of all of the trails that have been laid out throughout the resort that will take you to waterfalls, mountain streams and majestic mountain views. Fall, winter, spring or summer you will find the natural landscape breathtaking and each experience unique.
Our condo is a beautiful unit that has been professionally designed with a mountain feel featuring Ralph Lauren fabrics throughout. The goal was to create a warm and cozy atmosphere that is inviting, comfortable and lived in.
The custom sofas are covered in a soft wool plaid that set the color scheme for the condo. Antiques and art that have been collected throughout the local region of the Shenandoah Valley and Charlottesville area fill the rooms. Our condo has two levels and is on the top floor at the end of the building with windows on three sides allowing for you to see the views and enjoy the outside. It feels more like a small house for this reason.
The upstairs bedroom and bath feature a queen and a twin that will sleep three. The master bed room has a queen, and there is a queen sleep sofa down stairs in the main living area with a full bath as well. The kitchen is fully equipped to support a large family breakfast or the creation of your favorite gourmet meal.
The table will sit seven to eight to support that large meal or a competitive board or card game as well. In the main sitting area you will find a wood burning fireplace with the wood supplied outside the front door of the building during the resorts ski season. You are encouraged to use it and enjoy our favorite activity which is to have a roaring fire as you read a book and sip on great glass of wine and relax.
Devils Knob Golf and Tennis Club House is just down the road featuring an Ellis Maples designed course which is one of the top 100 in the country. The Stoney Creek 27 hole golf course is also available at anytime on weekdays and after 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday to guests. Check in advance for tee-times.The tennis club is adjacent to the golf course and is rated #2 in the United States.
Around the corner you will find the Wintergreen Nature Center with hiking trail maps and loads of information about what you can see and do as you enjoy the landscape and wildlife of the resort. There are two outdoor pools that are available free (with passes provided by owner) throughout the summer everyday and Lake Monocan is available to all except on Saturdays.
Wintergreen has two very good restaurants on top of the mountain. They are the Devils Grill and the Copper Mine. The Blackrock Market makes pizza and sub/sandwiches and has basic necessities you may need for your trip. There is also the Black Bear Cafe right across the street for coffee and breakfast of a quick lunch. At the base of the mountain the recently opened Micro Brewery, the Devils Backbone has great atmosphere, food and some nice brews.
There are also very good wineries throughout the region and they are within a reasonable distance from the resort. The state of Virginia has some great web sites to see about their locations and plan a tour during your stay.
The Dome and Out of Bounds provide many extra activites for Kids and Teens and as you could imagine there are many fun activities for the whole family such as tubing (summer and winter), mountain biking, kayaking, fly fishing, and horseback riding to name just a few. The area is filled with many beautiful parks and historical towns and sites to explore and the Blue Ridge Parkway runs behind the resort and is about 5 minutes from the resort entrance.

This is one of the nicest rentals at Wintergreen! It's not the usual shabby "rental" place. Even though it is in one of the older condos, it has been completely redecorated in fabulous taste. Great view from the top floor location. Very friendly owners. A wonderful find!

We stayed at the Keysar's beautiful condo over a three day weekend. The location was perfect, as we planned to ski, ice skate, go tubing, and visit with family. A huge selling point is that the condo is an end unit, so you have more views of the spectacular scenery than a middle unit. The information on the website was accurate and the pictures did not do the condo justice! We felt so at home and comfortable in this gorgeously decorated condo. The Keysar's were so helpful, answering my questions and concerns very quickly. This was our first time at Wintergreen and we loved it so much that we're already planning our next visit.

We had such a great weekend at this amazingly relaxing condo at Wintergreen. After two full days on the slopes with the family it was so refreshing to return to this beautifully decorated, comfortable condo. There is so much attention to detail along with the amazing views from the balcony. I am looking forward to make this an annual event for our family!!

Three girl friends and myself went to Wintergreen for a tennis getaway. It was each of ours first visit to the area and all of us were quite taken with the sheer beauty of the area. The Keysar's condo was such a lovely surprise. I happen to be an interior designer and was quite impressed with the attention to detail- from the custom shower curtains to the artfully arranged tole trays in the kitchen. Not only was it beautifully decorated it was also extremely comfortable- the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable as well as the seating pieces in the living room. I would highly recommend this unit to any one who wants to get away and enjoy a truly wonderful part of the country. P.S. The tennis was fabulous and the teaching staff was extremely knowledgeable.

Our family of 4 stayed here over 4th of July. This was our first visit to Wintergreen and the owner was very helpful responding to all of my questions about the resort and access to the amenities. The was very clean and comfortable for our family of 4 and had a great view from the balcony. It was very peaceful and quiet. I loved all of the windows that kept the unit bright and cool from the mountain breezes that were a welcome change from the heat and humidity down in the valley. The beds were cozy and the linens and towels were good quality and all provided by the owner. We had a great time enjoying the fireworks display from the balcony. We enjoyed many hikes, the chestnut pool and also a great afternoon at the spa - which is within walking distance. We enjoyed casual dinners at The Edge and Devils Backbone. We look forward to another visit in the future.

I chose this unit for a Girl's Weekend - it was perfect! My friends were overwhelmed when they arrived - they just couldn't get over how warm and inviting the condo was - the decor made us feel like we were in a cozy log cabin. The views were spectacular; as much as we like to sleep late we found ourselves getting up early to watch the sunrise. The beds were very comfortable and luxurious and we slept well. The owners were extremely easy to work with and have thought of everything - every amenity we could have asked for was provided from coffee filters to books and magazines. The shuttle from the condo to the slopes was quick and efficient. We would definitely stay here again and in fact, I am planning on bringing my husband back in the spring!
