We stayed here in October 2012 and really loved our stay. The house was very nice and very neat and clean. We really enjoyed being close to downtown - about a 10 minute walk one way. If you want to cook, we found that the kitchen wasn't the best for that - needs a dishwasher and a change in the counterspace/layout. This is not to say you can't cook in there - it is very "servicable" for cooking :) Whitefish is a nice town in a great location and we look foward to coming back and staying at this cottage again.Recommended for: Pet owners, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our family spent a relaxing and fun-filled week at Redberry Cottage and had a wonderful time. The location is ideal, quiet but walking distance to the lake, a five minute drive to charming and lively "downtown" Whitefish, approx 30 minutes to West Glacier. Although we were early in the season, the scenery was gorgeous - beach one day, snow the next, and no crowds. The cottage itself is beautifully equipped and was immaculate when we arrived, comfy beds, great kitchen and absolutely as cute as the photo. I would highly recommend Redberry cottage for a family or two couples.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Lisa's and Joel's cottage has the perfect location. You can walk to City Beach or town easily. If you only have 1 car, it offers a great location to meet everyone's needs. The house is nicely decorated. The bed linens are excellent quality. The kitchen is well equipped. There is not a dishwasher, but that is not really problem. I love the big front porch; it's my favorite spot to have a glass of wine and then dine. The garden has many mature plants and blooming flowers. The neighborhood is old Whitefish, small houses with porches and very Americana! It's enjoyable for taking daily walks. I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Whitefish, Montana.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We stayed in Redberry Cottage for the month of August. The gardens were in full bloom and beautiful and the house is charming and well decorated. There is no dishwasher and the street is a bit busy, especially on weekends as it leads to City Beach, but the coziness and charm were delightful. We enjoyed walking 2 blocks to see beautiful sunsets over the lake. Thank you Lisa and JoelRecommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We have enjoyed staying at the cottage for the past two winters and plan to return again in January, 2012. Skiing at Big Mountain is always very pleasurable and it is just a ten minute car ride from the cottage. Thanks to Joel and Lisa for great accommodations.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We are a family from Napa Valley, California who loves the outdoors -- hiking, rafting, fly-fishing, boating, skiing and more that are readily available in or near Whitefish. The pristine mountain air, clear water, and the famous Montana, 'Big Sky' country, is what attracted us to the area. And, when we want to come in from the outdoors, their are great restaurants, art galleries, a performing arts center, music, dancing, bowling, and a fantastic athletic center, The Wave, to keep us occupied.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Our cottage is located an easy walk along a paved pedestrian/bike path to downtown and all of the shops and restaurants, as well as two blocks from the ski bus, and the beach. Drive 45 minutes to the west entrance to Glacier National Park and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. Truly, Whitefish is a gem! We love it and think you will, too.
