This bright and high-ceiling 1740 square feet beach property is your home away from home. All bedrooms are on the main floor so you don't have to carry luggage up the stairs. The masters bedroom has a queen size bed (with individual coils for a beauty-rest), 2 side tables, a beautiful dresser and a multi-drawer cabinet, as well as a built-in closet. The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a trundle bed, a side table and a big dresser plus built-in closet. A collapsible twin bed is also available if there is a 6th person in your party.
There are 2 full baths, one on every floor, with different themes, one modern and the other classic. The laundry area is also on the main floor, to your left as you walk along the entrance hallway.
The 2nd floor has the spacious living room with leather sofas, and a 6-seat dining table facing the ocean view window. Just imagine...music playing with wonderful acoustics while you enjoy your meal, pausing every now and then to watch the changing hues of the sky and the ocean, the warmth of the fireplace nearby...and in the summer, the bonus of watching the sun set slowly on the horizon.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities of home: from appliances to cooking tools, to cutlery and serving sets, plus toaster, coffee maker, microwave, blender and toaster oven.
The linen closet has all the towels and washcloths you'll need for your stay and can be found on the 2nd floor just across from the upstairs bath. There is a 3rd bedroom (at the back of the 2nd floor) but it is currently not accessible. If feedback suggests the need for the 3rd bedroom, we may furnish and open it in the future.
Beach Drive (The Arch at Nye Beach) is a short 6 minute stroll away with stores and restaurants that are sure to welcome and entertain you.

Umpqua Dunes of Winchester Bay (77 miles). This ATV riding area is home to the tallest sand dunes in the Oregon Dunes. The area is accessed from Umpqua Beach #2 Parking lot, and Umpqua Beach #3 Day use. A ride to the top of a tall dune offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. From Reedsport: south 2 miles on US 101 to Winchester Bay. Turn right at Pelican Market onto Salmon Harbor Drive.

Payment Info:
A Paypal invoice will be sent to you from our email account. There is *no* need to become a Paypal member, and you may use any major credit card Paypal accepts. Paying with Paypal is very secure and your card numbers are entered on a secure page, NOT given over the phone to your vendor i.e., we don't get your credit card info from paypal.
Booking Info:
When you email us to book the house, an invoice equivalent to 30% of the rental is emailed back to you for remittance. This applies to bookings done more than 2 weeks in advance.
Within 2 weeks of your check-in date, the final invoice will be sent to you. Upon full payment, the lockbox combination, together with the self-serve check-in/check-out instructions will be emailed out to you. If you need to depart earlier, just let us know and we'll email the invoice earlier.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Partial/Full Payment will be refunded if the house gets rented to another party for the dates booked.

Why the Owner Chose Newport
This home was custom built for us by a local Newport contractor, and so I added my happy-go-lucky character to the home, splashing it with colors that would hopefully, cheer everybody that comes through. My husband and I are in our 50's and we like vacationing in different places. 3 summers ago we stayed in Astoria Oregon, and started driving south, until we were met by the most beautiful sky along the coast. We parked our car at an overlook and walked down along this paved path (Olive St) and landed on such soft sand that I inquired about the name of this beautiful beach. It's Nye Beach I was told. That was the start of what would be our (and your) vacation home in Newport. The house is in the care of a local lady and her name and number will be provided to renters as another contact person while enjoying the area.

We had an amazing visit! The house is beautiful, has everything you need. It's a stones throw away from the beach, has a fully equipped kitchen, romantic fireplace....the list goes on. This review issolely based on the home because we were visiting on Christmas so the area businesses were mostly closed. However, we did drive and walk around and there was quite a bit to offer. We will definitely be back, we have told our family and friends and plan to make this our regular vacation spot! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wonderful house with plenty of room and nicely detailed decor. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and appreciated the available coffee in the morning. Bathrooms are beautifully painted. Very clean and comfortable with a hint of some luxury. Short walk to the beach and to the historic Nye district. Thanks for everything!

We loved our stay in this wonderful home. It was everything as advertised and much more. Delia was so very helpful in providing information. The home was very clean and was supplied with extra items that made us feel so much at home, such as music, books, videos and even coffee and other items in the kitchen. My six-year-old grandson said that "It was the best vacation ever!"

I am so glad that this place was available for our stay. Great layout, very clean and homey. The early check-in/late check-out was fantastic!!!! We had already gone to the store, picked up Chowder Bowl, ate and were completely unpacked and relaxed all before we normally would be able to check into a place. The weather was cold but clear, but we were so comfortable we never left! We filled this placed with good food, a lot of laughter and wonderful memories.

We loved the house it was so great! We would definitly stay here again if my Fiance and I didn't decide to move to Newport! Delia is a wonderful lady and I would definitly reccomend staying here it was so nice to have a house to ourselves and not have to worry about people above or below us, and the late check out time would be nice if you lived a little closer to Newport. We live 8 hours away so we had to leave by 10 : ( I reccomend this house to anyone! we had 5 people Myself 20, my Fiance 24, my Grandma 60, my Brother 13, and my Mother 40. Everyone loved it and it was spacious and open... Thank you!

We have never rented a house prior to this. What a wonderful experience! With 3 adults and 4 kids (2 babies), the house was just right on the fit. When we walked in the WOW factor was very high. So homey and welcoming, the only thing we needed to add was food!! Great kitchen, with bbq available on the balcanay. Great location, great price, great people. We will be back as soon as we can.

We had a fantastic time at the House in Newport!! Great layout,spacious and bright. The kitchen was so good that in 4 days we only ate out once-very rare for us. Our college age son felt very comfortable here,as his naps on the comfortable couch will attest to. Four days of sun helped us enjoy the Tidepools, Lighthouse, Aquarium, Science Ctr., Undersea Gardens, Sea Lions, Mo's Restaurant, Nye Beach, etc. The House is very centrally located to everything that we needed! Everything from the view, location, and the house itself has been top notch. The owner has taken immaculate care of this home, and it has always been impecably clean. She staffs a great house keeper, and has always gone the extra mile to make sure that we were well taken care of. Everything from the booking to check out, it truley has been a stress free vacations for me and my family. It's one of those secrets you don't want everyone to find out about.
