Great family vacation getaway!

This unit has a perfect location on the fourth floor of a six floor complex right on the beautiful white sand beach of Fort Walton. The unit is situated above the pool and you can sit out on the spacious balcony in comfortable rocking chairs and watch the kids in the pool below. There is a walkway to the beach adjacent to the pool area and beach chair service is avaialble daily. The unit has an assigned parking space in the covered garage right next to the lobby entrance and elevator to allow for quick and easy loading and unloading of luggage, etc. The unit is well maintained, clean and has an equipped kitchen. Several community charcoal grills are available on the ground floor for cookouts. There is a Publix grocery store less than five minutes away for those frequent trips for food, drinks and sunscreen. The beach and water is beautiful and we saw dolphins very close to the shore on several occasions! My family and I are already making plans to return next year.

This condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. The pictures we saw on the Internet did not do it justice. We couldn't have found a more gorgeous view of the white beaches and blue/green ocean from the balcony which had very comfortable rocking chairs. We hope to go back again and again!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We were here for a week and my family came from around the country for our annual beach vacation. We could not have imagined a better location. The water is beautiful, there's a pier down the beach that's a bit of a walk, but has fishing and restaurants on the beach. The condo is right on the beach, no crossing any roads or anything to get there. With the elevator it's easy to get your beach gear back and forth to the beach. Walking from the front door to the beach probably takes 2-3 minutes. The grocery is a quarter to half mile away which is VERY close, it takes only a few minutes to get there. This was huge cause with the kids and the number of people we had, we needed to go to the grocery almost every day. The beach was peaceful and quiet, water perfectly clean and clear. We were out at the second sandbar and saw Dolphins! They were swimming all around us, you could hear them in the water, it was crazy! If you're considering a place in Destin - avoid it. That's where the partiers go. Fort Walton is quiet and peaceful, perfect spot for a family vacation or anyone else who isn't looking for a big party crowd. If you do want access to Destin for anything, it's just a short drive away.
