The Unique Benefits at this Condo
MOST IMPORTANT is convenience of the location so we can WALK everywhere & there's no hassle with driving or paying for a cab-(can be Expensive)if you want to come to town each night from somewhere else & don't want to drive back up te mountain after enjoying cocktails... Equally importantto us is the AMAZING view ! We literally step from the Ferry Boat to the sand, grab the Carribean Painkiller from one of the restaurants/bars and we stroll to the unit. We also really enjoy the afternoon -evening music that is playing in town from Condo patio--There's nothing like a day of beach going, afternoon cocktails, dinner, & then waking up to the panhorammic view of Surrounding Carribean Islands.

We absolutely recommend staying here and have told all of our family and friends!! Travelled 1/7/12 to 1/14/12. Met with Monica, who was very nice and great with an overall review of the island, suggestions of where to go, and eat, which we found very helpful. Condo was beautiful and clean, just like pictured. Fabulous views. Best part was the location. After hiking and exploring different beaches every day, we got to come home, park the car, then relax in the hot tub. We could then enjoy the various happy hours (Beach Bar with music & painkillers, Woody's for $1 Coors Light, etc, etc.) and then select from a variety of restaurants all within walking distance (favorites being ZoZos, La Tapas, DaLivios). We liked having the kitchen for breakfast each morning and being able to pack a lunch for our adventurous days! Would only suggest a larger cooler or second one to pack enough cold water and sandwiches. Loved that backpack beach chairs were provided. Beautiful beaches, warm weather, awesome snorkeling in clear blue water, great location in such a cute little town---what more could you ask for! My only wish now....please return me to St. John!

My husband and I have been coming to St. John's for the last four years and each time have stayed in a different place. By far this was the best condo and location. Monica who escorted us from the ferry was wonderful and the owners did an excellent job of decorating the place. It is truly an extension of the island and all the wonderful people there. We stayed from 9/10 - 9/21- 2010 and will definetly be booking from the McCarthy's again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place nothing was missing!

SHE SHOWED US AROUND PUT SOME XTRAS IN THE FRIDGE FOR US.WE LOVED THIS PLACE .THE LOCATION IS PERFECT.WALK ANYWHERE YOU WANT IN CRUZ BAY. We stayed in this unit May 19-26, 2010 and had an absolutely spectacular time. Monica of First Island Friend met us at the ferry and walked us over to Grande Bay. The condo was exactly as it was pictured, and we were extremely comfortable. There were four of us (2 couples) and the layout offers plenty of privacy but still has room to gather indoors or on the terrace. We spent lots of time in the evenings at the beach bar (watch out for the Painkillers), and our best meal was upstairs near the beach bar (I believe it's Spyglass). We hit a different beach each day, rented dinghys, and went to Jost Van Dyke one day with Han on the Fly Girl (great time!). The owners of this property were awesome to deal with, and we will definitely be returning. One tip - bring a backpack cooler!
