  My family and friend had the joy of staying at this villa for a delightful week at the end of July this summer. Close enough to be convenient to town, but far enough for quite seclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. VERY few villas in Tuscany (10%?) have air conditioning and for anyone to tell you that ac is not important must live in the Sahara. Italy can be quite warm in the summer and when not lounging and cooling by the wonderful pool, we had the option of cranking up the ac and relaxing inside. Adam and Audrey did everything to make our stay enjoyable and if you call them, they can give you my phone number should you desire some vocal courage to stop looking and nail down a great place to relax.

  Our party of five had a fabulous time in this comfortable, historic home. The views of the valley were unbelievable and we enjoyed wandering on this special property of terraced Olive trees. We enjoyed dining outside, swimming in the refreshing pool and lounging while watching the Olympics on their large flat-screen. The bedrooms were comfortable and the views beautiful from the second floor. The location was perfect for taking day trips to Cortona, Florence and Rome. We did all three. The owners were in Arezzo during our stay in their Villa and they were so helpful. We enjoyed their fabulous restaurant suggestions and they even arranged to have a lovely Italian woman give us a cooking lesson and prepare an authentic Tuscan Dinner. We loved every minute.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We were three couples that rented the villa and we were not disappointed by the description of the property by the owners. It was better than they described. The property is very well maintained with gorgeous views of the Arezzo hills and valley. The pictures on VRBO do not do justice to the property. The interior has a definite "old world" flavor and is very tastefully decorated. The owners were very helpful with getting us pointed in the right direction to enjoy the great food and wine at local restaurants. We stayed a couple of days longer at the recommendation of the owners so that we could attend the first Sunday of the month antique festival in Arezzo, and it was definitely worth it. Arezzo is located between Florence and Siena with ready access to the railway and the auotostada (freeway). You definitely need to rent a car because it is not close to the downtown area, but that is part of the great charm of the villa, being in the countryside. There is a wonderful swimming pool and patio area. We would recommend this villa to friends and family with no reservations. The grounds are beautifully manicured with lots of olive trees and rosemary hedges. The town of Arezzo holds a street market every Saturday morning and it is not to be missed. It is only an hour drive to Florence, Cortona and Pienza which makes the location ideal for day trips to various other towns in Tuscany. It is one of the best rentals we have found on VRBO so far.

  Truly spectacular! Our first visit to Europe and we were fortunate to find this villa. The most romantic, relaxing and uplifting experience we have ever had. Amazing antiques and art throughout the villa. The views are breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful. The patio, pool, changing room and outdoor shower are fantastic. This villa will remain one of our fondest memories for many years to come. We highly recommend the patio for early morning coffee to hear the sounds of the Tuscan valley and a glass of wine at night as you are settling in. We will return to this magnificent paradise.

  Life long memories await you! This was the very first house I was fortunate enough to visit 25 years ago and have never forgotten about it. My dearest friend invited me to his house and never imagined it would some day belong to our family... It is a long story but am happy to tell anyone who might be interested in staying here. The sprwaling, multi teared terrain, typical of Tuscany, will give you endless strolls to investigate each inch of this beautiful property.The house is considered a historical monument and owner's are not allowed to even chop down a tree withoug special permission. Each room is decorated with charming antiques and has a alter front marble table from the 1600's which is the centerpiece of the house where you can have memorable discussions and dinners with family and friends. Catering is available upon request, at additional cost, and can arrange a private tour guide to take you to surrounding cities and as far as Rome. I would suggest using the villa as your center point, make trips every couple of days to visit Arezzo, Cortona, and other smaller citeis, then use the train to take you to Florence, Rome, Bologna, and possibly Vence to avoid the hassles of driving, parking in the larger cities, which is really a pain, then return to the villa each evening. Please call to discuss any aspect of styaing in this gem of a villa, which will certainly create on of the mos memorable vacations you will ever experience!
