The perfect beach house! We've rented from these owners for several years and plan on staying at this house every summer as it has everything we need and more. A few steps from the beach, this house is spacious both inside and out with lots of bedrooms, an open first floor with kitchen and living room and a great outside patio area. The owners could not be more accommodating and keep their beach house clean and updated as if they are staying there. A gorgeous house with wrap around decks which is great when you have to come back for napping children but still want the sun. We have kids ranging in age from 2 to 15 and the house is perfect for all of us in its own unique way. There is plenty of room. We rent with two other families and never feel that we are on top of each other. It is always my first recommendation to friends and family looking to vacation on LBI.

This house is the best beach house!!! Very spacious, clean and a lot of amenities. The owner is always available and was helpful from the beginning to the end of our vacation. We loved everything, the large kitchen, bedrooms are spacious and the children loved the balconies. We were able to watch the fire works from the top balcony! There is also a lot of space for parking and a huge patio. Everyone that visited us during our two week stay said it was such a great house, and it was! We are scheduled to stay again this year.

I was looking for a special place to accommodate 12 of my family members/ My relatives came in from Portugal for a family vacation and we found it in this lovely home. Ron was a great person to deal with during the whole rental process. We had a problem with the washing machine and one call to Ron and the repair guy was there within an hour. I am very particular with a CLEAN house and this is a clean house! The living room with it's cozy sofas and the decks with the Ocean views-What a great location! The kitchen and dining room were our favorite place to gather because I could be cooking and conversating with everyone while they were eating @ the dining table.The numerous bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and decks gave us the privacy we needed for reminising and relaxing. A beautiful August week we will long cherish leaving us with tranquil visions of the LBI ocean and expansive sky. Many thanks to the Barbaree's!

The patio is great, we enjoyed sitting out there every evening. The roof top deck offers amazing sunset views. The beach access was directly across the street which was perfect for our family with young children. The kitchen was great, it had a nice size island with a dining area that accommodated our large size family. The owner meet us there when we arrived, went over everything and made sure all our questions were answered.

Fun in the Sun

We spent a wonderful week at this house. The photos are a true indication of what the house has to offer very spacious, clean and well equiped. The living space is wide open which is something that I was looking for and the whole house has a beachy feel. Just steps from the beach...running back to the house for lunch was a breeze. We grilled almost every night and ate on the patio and then just hung out. The owner is very helpful and available for any questions. All in all we had a GREAT vacation and would return.

Dirty!!

We rented this house in August 2010 and found it to be dirty and very run down. Definitely a misleading description of the house...plus it's not in Beach Haven. The kitchen was barely cleaned (old food on walls and tons of old food in drawers and near silverware and dishes) and decor throughout is badly in need of an update (carpets are filthy and tons of "junk" around house to collect dust). Closets are stuffed with old broken (and gross) games and junk. Spacious house, but be aware of the dirt.

Owner response:We encourage all our renters to visit and tour the house before renting. We have been renting since 2004 and have many familys tell us its the best house they ever rented. Many return year after year. These renters would not come to see the house and on check in day did not show up but rather had their daughter come and check in. I walked her through the house and she never complained. Later aoubt 8 PM when the renter arrived they complained. We sent the cleaning crew back to make sure they were satisfied and the boss of the cleaning company showed up. This group then proceeded to rearrange our kitchen and felt compelled to move or arrange anything to fit their needs. I notice that they rent a different house every year and the daughter admitted to me they are never happy. They complained about how rugs were arranged etc. We have many repeat renters and we leave bicycles in the shed, 8 beach chairs and a number of games in one closet for rainy days. All renters are very happy about this. You can't please everyone and these renters are on my list of :do not rent to these people:
