This fantastic 3 bedroom/3 bathroom townhouse boasts one of the best vacation locations in Red River, New Mexico. It is located just steps away from the Red River Ski Area's main chair lift and it is also right on the Red River. Watch and listen to the river from the covered front porch or have lunch at the river side picnic area.
The cozy living room features a gas log fireplace with a big hearth providing plenty of room for cold skiers as well as a stereo, flat screen television, dvd player, nice furnishings and beautiful art throughout.
The floor plan is nice and open with a spacious dining room and great kitchen with large breakfast bar. The tiled kitchen has nice appliances and is completely stocked with all the cookware, utensils and dishes for great family meals. The kitchen also has a back door to a courtyard with BBQ grills and views of the ski area.
You can listen to the river from the first level guest room. It features a queen size bed,large closet and the river is right outside the window.
The master bedroom features a covered balcony with unobstructed views of the river, vaulted ceilings, a king size log bed with a new mattress and a private bathroom with a garden tub.
The spacious third bedroom sleeps 6. It has a twin bunk bed with a trundle, in addition to another bunk bed with a full size bottom bunk. The third bedroom also has a spacious private bathroom with large vanity, vaulted ceiling, desk, dresser and big closet.
This unit has Satellite Flat Screen TV, DVD, VCR, gas log fireplace, and Wi-Fi. Resort Realty in Red River provides assistance with local tourist attractions, fresh linens, or other needs. A deck and upstairs balcony overlooks the river--since this is an end unit right on the river--it is almost like the river is your personal paradise.

In addition to being on the river, this home is approximately 50 yards from the the Red River Ski Area's NEW main ski lift. A large pond is located at the end of the townhouses for fishing in the summer as well or you can fish the river. Other activities include hiking, four-wheeling, general sightseeing or just relaxing in the town itself. Gold was once prevalent in the mountains of Red River and old mines are nearby.
Winter Skiing at Red River is ranked among the best--particularly for its Family-Friendly Slopes. All ages can ski or snowboard--the area has significant lift capacity and ski rentals, lessons, and shops are available. There are 57 Trails, 7 Lifts and a 1,600' vertical drop--30% expert, 38% intermediate and 32% beginner. Snowboarders are welcome and a Terrain Park will entertain as well as challenge.
Cross Country Skiing is available in The Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area--trails are cut and maintained--and the experience is exhilarating. Snowmobiling is also a fun activity and tour operators can guide you on miles of groomed trails. Wildlife is abundant around the area.
Red River is known for its great food, abundant shopping and other entertainment--dancing, live music, and other activities provide a wide variety for all. A walk down main streets will pass local shops with unique gifts, souvenirs, clothing and jewelry--many of which are locally made.

Our family had previously stayed in another Claim Jumper condo, and decided to try this one a bit closer to the river. We were pleasantly surprised with fresh cookies and a bottle of wine on our arrival. It had a first floor bedroom, as opposed to a third floor one. The bedroom with "multiple beds" had it's own bath, which was a plus. However, lack of a shower in the "master" (jacuzzi tub only) was a disappointment and forced our bathing to bathrooms other than the master bath. All beds and pillows were very comfortable. Linens were first class. Lotions and hairdryer were provided. I would recommend having some wine glasses and reading lamps at bedside. Fans were appreciated, as the nights were warmer than normal. Washer and dryer and WiFi availability were a plus. The location is terrific for all town activities. Overall, we would enjoy staying here again and highly recommend it.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We absolutely loved this condo. It was nicely decorated and very clean. Probably the cleanest rental unit I have ever stayed in. The location was incredible. Walking distance to town and the restaurants was great. It was also so wonderful to walk out the back door just a few steps and be at the chair lift. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and was so neatly organized. The only negative thing I can say about this condo is that the bed in the downstairs bedroom was extremely soft and uncomfortable. We used this as the master bedroom so all the kids could be upstairs together. It would have also been nice to have a television in the downstairs bedroom.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
