This was the perfect beach getaway! The condo. was beautifully decorated, pristine, fully outfitted and had a large balcony gorgeous view of the beach:-) The first morning there we walked the beach and found sea turtle eggs and other amazing treasures of nature. It was a perfect trip from the thoughtful surprises the owner left to welcome our family to the memories we made surfing the waves and buidling sandcastles with our children! I can't wait to go back:-)

Amazing Beach Condo..........all the comforts of home and none of the cares!

We have rented beach condos in some of the nicest beach resorts on the Atlanta. This was, by far, the nicest condo we've ever stayed in at any price. The owner goes out of her way to think of everything your might need. She even has a gift waiting for you when you arrive. You will enjoy every moment of your time in this beautifully and comfortable decorated condo.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I will never stay in a hotel again! The Barry's condo was more than we expected for our 4 night 25th anniversary trip, as we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a gift from homeowners that don't know us personally. Everything we needed was there, including coffee, sugar, creamer, etc. As an Interior Designer, I was so impressed with the warmth and thought that went into making this condo a home for not only the Barry's, but their guests. We have recommended the condo to all of our friends as well as the restaurants (Sliders and The Surf). We will definately be back in the future.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

January 1, 2010 We have just enjoyed the most pleasant three weeks ever in Amelia in your lovely beach home. For several years, we have spent December or January on the Island, but never in such wonderful accommodations. Jan, you didn't miss any detail in making our stay comfortable and feel like home. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel and stay at condos along most of the East Coast, and serval on the West Coast--weenjoy the ocean. Our rental at the Barry's condo this past January, February and March has provided for one of our better rental experiences. From the time we walked through the front door we felt at home. That is, except for the truly unbelievable ocean view from both the living room area and the master bedroom. The furnishings are tastefully done, and well maintained...and the kitchen was the best equipped of any of our rentals that we have stayed in the past. Tere were just a few issues during our stay for which the owner was quick to respond. We plan to stay again in 2011. Jack and Barb.

Our time in your beautiful condo was a little piece of heaven. Even with some chilly weather, we loved every minute. The fully equipped kitchen, movie and CD collection and the gorgeous view made it feel like home. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Jan - we hope to be back very soon.

To The Barrys, We have thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay in your beautiful beach home and feel so fortunate that we found your listing on VRBO and Homeaway.com. Everything has exceeded our already high expectations. Jan, you are a most gracious host and your personal touches and caring makes staying here feel like we are at home. We loved bringing seafood back to prepare in your luxurious and well-stocked kitchen. We loved the panoramic view of the ocean from the living room and bedroom. The deck provides an unparalleled view of the entire coastline. Spectacular! We have been coming to Amelia for many years and have always enjoyed it but this ranks up there as one of the best, thanks to your lovely house. My wife and I just completed a 2 week stay in unit #93, our second visit to the Barry condo. Jan is an expert at making you feel at home and at handling arrangements in a stress-free way. David is going to have to drag me kicking and screaming away from this place! We had such a glorious time. Jan,as you know, my daughter recently got married at the Golf Club of Amelia Island and we stayed in unit #93 for the weekend. It is a beautiful unit with an awesome view. You helped to make our weekend perfect. I love the keyless entry on the door and the fact that you sent us the packet of information and key to the unit w/o having to check in at the office. The location was very convenient since we were next door to the Golf Club and the Ritz Carlton. We really enjoyed the stay. The unit is beautifully decorated. The weather was beautiful and so was the wedding. Thank you for all that you did to help make this special occasion perfect. I'm sure we will return for another weekend soon.

9/6/09-9/9/09. Visiting Amelia Island for the first time and #93 Ocean Place couldn't have been a better choice. The Barry's condo couldn't have been better equiped or more beautiful. Jan made sure our stay was confortable and special, with all the amendies from home. Such southern hospitality! We enjoyed the view(s), ocean breezes, beach and pool. Couldn't have asked for more. If you are looking for a place to stay on Amelia Island, look no further. This is definitely the place. The location is perfect, the condo is clean, cozy, inviting, and very well-equipped, and the owner is very attentive and sweet. You really could not find a better place to stay. My two teenage children and I just returned from a 5-day vacation and we all agreed it was one of our best. Thanks Jan for everything you did to make our vacation fun. You were a delight to work with and I hope to return to "share" your beach home again very soon.

WOW! what a relaxing vacation. We loved watching the dolphins, perfecting our boogie board skills and combing the beach for that "fabulous find". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barry's beautiful and welcoming beach home. This was our first trip to Amelia Island (we normally visit the gulf beaches), but found Amelia Island and Fernandina charming. The pace is very relaxing and our family enjoyed watching the dolphins and manatees in the ocean and the sea turtles right in front of the condo. The Barry's have thoughtfully furnished their beach home with flashlights, DVD's, CDs and a well-appointed to kitchen to help make our stay wonderful. We hope to visit again!

We had a marvelous time! We especially loved the view from the patio as we are "porch sitters." We saw turtles everywhere, as much as 4 at the time. We went to the beach everyday and the weather was awesome. We cooked in the condo and I have to say thank you for it being so well stocked! Love the feel and decor of the place! We just returned from a wonderful 5 day stay in #93 Ocean Place Amelia Island, Florida. Jan was an incredible host, even calling in to make sure everything was going well during our stay. Everything about the property was incredible, from the spacious living quarters to the wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean, there was no down side. Traveling with 4 children ranging from age 7-13 can be difficult at best, but there was something for everyone during this trip thanks to the thoughtfulness of the owners who have stocked the property with all the amenities you need including a drawerful of flashlights to go ghost crab hunting at night. The only problem was trying to decide what was the best part of the vacation, watching the turtles, the dolphins and the sunrise from the baclony, or finding all the shark teeth on the beach and body surfing. Still haven't decided, which means we will just have to go back and rethink it. Thanks Jan The Trettins

This condo is so very beautiful - a perfect beach retreat! Not your typical beach rental - The furnishings are platinum++, and the owners have made it extra comfortable with lots of personal touches. The view from the balcony is amazing - we had fun watching the dolphins play, and even saw a huge horseshoe crab on one of our daily beach walks. Jan was great to work with - she made everything so easy for us. We can't wait to go again.

If you merely want a room, stay at the Ritz Carlton. If on the other hand, you seek am gorgeous oceanfront home, magnificently furnished, with all the imaginable amenities, this is the place for you. As a bonus, the owner works extra hard to make your stay a special one.

This was our second visitto Amelia Island. Last year we stayed at the Ritz. We like your condo much better. It is homey and well equipped. I love your seaside prints and would have stolen the "Lady on the Beach." When we return next year we will ask for your unit. PS. Your boys are handsome! Enjoy them. They grow up so fast!

Genesis 1:21 What beauty God has given us. We know well the blessings that are passed along to other, as we "share" a home in the mountains of NC with many. Yours is warm and inviting. We had such a relaxing time. My husband and I were just married 2 1/2 months ago so this was like an extension of our honeymoon. Your condo is so beautiful and the view of the ocean is spectacular.
