Great Winter Getaway

My three friends and I had a delightful experience renting this luxurious, well-appointed, clean, uncluttered, and very well-maintained house for 3 nights in January. After an inauspicious short winding drive up to the house from the main road past a number of custom-built, suburban-style development homes, it was a treat to enter this house to experience an unobstructed and panoramic view of marsh and ocean from multiple windows in the living room. Two of the four bedrooms also have spectacular views, especially the master bedroom/bath which is accessed from a multi-windowed spiral stair and features its own circular window, private outside deck, and an over-the-top bathroom with jacuzzi set next to more windows. The third twin-bedded room faces the front of the house. The fourth bedroom in the basement is dark and less desirable, but has its own living room. Beddings are distinctive and beautiful. The main living room on the ground floor provides very comfortable seating (2 two-person couches and a rocker with ottoman) grouped around a large flat-screen TV. (There are also small TVs in each bedroom.) The kitchen also has a great view and is very well stocked with every conceivable pot, pan, bowl, spice (including gran masala), and appliance, including a great coffee maker, and the professional stove made it a pleasure to cook and eat at the house. There were plenty of clean white towels and small toiletry items in the bathrooms, as well as bags of snacks at the kitchen counter. The art work is lovely and original. We discovered the board game Apples to Apples, which we had fun playing. The only problem we encountered on our wintry weekend was snow-related: the stairs leading up to house were not shoveled and were quite slippery even after we found a shovel and shoveled them. From the front door it was an easy and lovely walk to the stone breakwater, the marsh, along the residential streets at the East End of Provincetown, and back to this great house to watch a gorgeous sunset.
Owner response:We did not know that our new plow service was not shovelling the stairs and walks. They will be taken care of going forward.

Beautiful House

Our family spent a week in July at this home. We enjoyed every minute. Everything you need is right in this house and close to it. The kitchen included all the essentials for cooking. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful views overlooking the salt marshes. There were two bedrooms and full bath on the main floor and a loft/master bedroom and bath on the second floor. The outside deck was perfect for watching the sunset. Herring Cove and downtown PTown were within a quick bike ride. We also rode the bike trail to Race Point. One of the nicest things about this house was the ability to bike (5 minutes) to or walk (about 20 minutes) to PTown which meant no hassels parking downtown. The house was clean and well-maintained. The owners were very professional, responded quickly to questions and returned the deposit in a timely manner.

This is a great house with a great living area (kitchen, lounge room, dinner table, deck). It is comfortable for at least two couples and two kids and there is an extra room downstairs for an extra couple or kids. There is everything one could wish for comfort, entertainment (TV, Stereo, Games) and great cooking. My only negative comment would be that it is too bright in the master bedroom. When the sun rises just after 5 am, the light is already very present in the upstairs bedroom and for people that are affected by light, it becomes difficult to sleep once the sun starts to rise. In our case, we ended up transforming the huge walk-in closet into a bedroom for our daugther and some morning she slept in until 6 am... which is much better that 5 am in our parents-with-a-baby world. I very much recommend this house. I enjoyed looking at the view everyday, many times a day. The scenery changes constantly with the sunlight and weather.

Best Ptown vacation ever!

We have been to Provincetown many times over the last 20 years and this was the nicest house we have ever stayed in--producing the best Ptown vacation we've ever had. The house has incredible views. It is quiet and private, but at the same time very convenient to town and the beach. The decor was absolutely lovely, while at the same time very comfortable. Every effort has been made by the owners to provide both the big things (and little things) to make for a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
