When you tell your family you are going on a vacation you are not telling them you are going to spend long periods of time in one room at a hotel. You can tell them they are going to have an entire "home away from home." This home features six bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, family room, dining room, living room, heated pool (with fiberoptic lighting, spa, laundry room and television with cable and HBO. After spending a day at one of the parks you can come home and continue your vacation. There is plenty of space for everyone - unlike a hotel room. The home is even close enough to Disney to bring the little ones home for an afternoon nap before returning to the park for an evening of festivities well rested. The pool is always a welcome activity for everyone. Whether you come home from an activity or spend the entire day lounging around the pool all can enjoy the "home away from home".
This is a non smoking home.
If you would like to explore the area, the west coast offers beautiful beaches and Busch Gardens. You might want to venture to the east coast and visit the Kennedy Space Center which is just a little over an hour away. Whatever you pursue your "Home Away From Home" is awaiting you.

this home was very large for 5 adults and 2 children. close to all the attractions. the only problem we had was no light in the patio area, however we phoned caretakers and they took care of the it.

A Very Nice Place for a Large Group
A Very Nice Place for a Large Group
This house is well maintained and had everything we needed for a 4 families totaling 11 people. I thought the price was super. There was a glitch or two, but the owner and property manager got them taken care of. There are a variety of stores and restaurants located nearby, including chains like Outback, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Target, with Wal Mart not too far away. The bed I slept in was comfortable, and nobody complained about that so I guess they were all good. We had one family member in a wheel chair who was able to navigate downstairs okay. Even though the pool was heated, the water was a little too cool for us in December. We were there the week after Christmas to New Year's Day and went to Disney. I love those parks, and they had the most fantastic fireworks shows I've ever seen. Just know that if you go then, it's the busiest week of the year, and you'll literally be surrounded by people.

Home away from Home
Home away from Home
The owners are very accomodating and the property is in excellent shape. 10 of us (two families) shared the house for a week. There was lots of room for everyone and sitting out at night by the pool under the enclosure was a real treat. It is near a ton of restaurants and a very quick drive to the gates of Disney. Close enough to go home for lunch or give the kids a rest during the afternoon. I have recommended this house to coworkers and they have also had a positive experience. We had a little problem with the pool level but the maintenance staff were there within an hour, were very friendly and knowledgable and had it fixed shortly after ariving. I will defintely stay here again soon.

Why the Owner Chose Oak Island Cove:
Our married children and grandchildren love to go to Disney. So, what better place to by a rental home? It is a great place for all eleven of us to get together.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The family getting in the pool and playing volleyball or tag. Of course, the hot tub is a wonderful way to wind down the day and soothe sore feet and muscles after a day of tromping around at one of the parks.
