Renovated beach cottages in a wonderful beach neighborhood just 12 houses to the beach. This property is ideal for an extended family (i.e., family + parent-in-laws), two families, or one family who would enjoy the benefit of two separate cottages. Cottages are rented together as one unit.
Cozy front cottage (Cottage #1) includes a comfortable queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Wonderfully open floor plan allows easy movement between sleeping, living and kitchen areas. Narrow bathroom with shower not recommended for people with difficulty navigating smaller spaces. Fabulous deck for dining, relaxing and enjoying the ocean view and sunset.
The back cottage (Cottage #2) has two bedrooms (one with a comfortable queen bed and the other with twin sized bunk beds, bathroom with combination shower and tub, kitchen, living / dining room, and outdoor patio with BBQ.
Both units have a warm outdoor shower and a washer/dryer.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz
We love this specific area of Santa Cruz. It's wonderful to be just steps away from the less crowded part of Twin Lakes Beach with out crossing any streets. Our kids love to go back and forth from our cottages to the beach all day long! It's a peaceful, family friendly area.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Two cottages are SO MUCH BETTER than a 3 bedroom house, especially as our children approach their teenage years! We can easily spread out across the two cottages (each with its own living area) if we need our own "space", but are always together for meals and plenty of family time.

This cottage is a great rental for couples with older children. Our teenage daughters had their "own place" while we parents had a private getaway right next door. This was a safe neighborhood that was just a very short walk from the beach and a short drive to the Boardwalk. The owner worked well with us when we found the BBQ was out of propane, making sure we were taken care of right away. We put the beach chairs and umbrella to use on the beach, but the water was too cold to use the boogie boards that were available. Nothing super fancy, but very comfortable and low-key. We would go back in a heartbeat if we are ever in the area again.
