Lovely 3 Bedroom home for rent in the quiet family community of Davis Park on Fire Island, located three houses from the ocean and two houses from a private, secluded bay beach that offers swimming and quiet sunbathing if the ocean is too rough or windy.
The house sleeps one family with SIX people maximum, and has one bathroom with shower, and an additional enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower.
The house comes complete with everything you might need: fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer (sheets and towels included); DirecTV and DVD player with a supply of movies, ceiling fans, new Weber gas grill on the deck, beach chairs and sand toys for the kids.
This wonderful cottage is a great place for a family vacation, but in case you need it, Internet access is dial-up. Sorry no pets and no smoking in the house.
Davis Park, Fire Island is the Eastern most residential community on Fire Island, which is an actual island only accessible by ferry. The only vehicles on the island are service vehicles for the fire department and utility companies. Davis Park is a quiet haven and family community of residential houses and privately owned boats in the marina; there are no hotels in this community and the beach is never crowded. The ferry terminal is located at Patchogue (not Bayshore!), New York, which is the closest town on Long Island.
The nearest airport to Davis Park is Islip, NY about thirty minutes away. JFK is an hour+ away, and LaGuardia is a about an hour and a half away. For a day trip to NYC, it is possible to take an early ferry from Davis Park to Patchogue, and then take the Long Island Railroad to NYC (an hour and half ride each way), but be careful not to miss the last ferry back from Patchogue to Davis Park, which is usually around 10:00pm midweek and a little later on weekends.

July 12-19 or June 13-20 are the only weeks for rent; all other weeks are rented.
