Year Purchased: 1998
We are Richard Sullivan, an architect (UC Berkeley B.Arch 1966 and M.Arch 1987) and Kathleen Doering former nursing educator (MN UCLA 1986) who has "re-tooled" and become an early childhood educator (MEd Chaminade University 2003). We have been married 30 years and use this condo as a "get away" from our home in Honolulu.

Nice place, great owners. Loft with funky spiral stairs adds considerable space to the unit. I was there when it was hot and humid but the unit remained cool because it is on the second story and caught the breeze. It will be my first choice next time I visit Molokai.

This is a great little condo with a loft bedroom looking westward over the lawn and ocean. Being on the second floor gives much more privacy than the ground floor condos, with a better cross breeze too. When we weren't out exploring the island, we spent most time on the lanai, listening to the ocean waves and reading from their library. These condos were converted from former hotel rooms, and the owners have updated the condo with glass blocks in the bathroom for more light, a loft bedroom for more space, and murphy bed downstairs. You can't beat the price for a kitchen, cable tv, bbq grill steps away, pool, local market, and two beaches within walking distance. We went in early April, it was very quiet and relaxed with hardly anyone else in the building(s). The west end is definintely the place to stay - guaranteed less rain! It's about 30 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Mauna Loa, and 40 minutes from Kauanakakai. We highly recommend this vacation rental and look forward to coming back soon.

My husband and I stayed in this condo. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Quiet hours in the complex are respected, the grounds are well kept and people were friendly. If our young adult children return to the island with us, I would probably not stay here, as a 10pm quiet hour would not suit them, but we loved that the peace and quiet. If you are looking for a reasonably priced vacation, relaxing quiet without the night life, and don't need lots restaurants (although there are some places to go out at night and the few restaurants we ate at had excellent food, this is the island for you and this condo is nice too! The lanai was the most used for us!
