We enjoyed our stay immensely, particularly the view from the beautiful deck, and the waterfront. The property was clean and well maintained The bedrooms were minimal--but not the point of staying there. The owner was very helpful to us when some problems developed. I would like to stay there again, but should point out that, as a house in the woods, there are steps from the road level down to the house, and also from the house down to the water.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

This place is a true delight! It's located on a deep oak shaded lot and off a quiet private road. The cottage and deck are very conveniently organized and comfortably furnished. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. The beach is one of the best in the area with plenty of room for lounging, swimming and boat storage. The boathouse is a rare feature on Canandaigua Lake and it makes changing and beach/boating equipment storage very handy. The outer end of the dock has a nice seating area handy for sunset wine tasting and for fishing. We could moor our motor boat on the off-shore mooring buoy or just use the classic 14' Alumacraft rowboat or the fun paddleboat. There is electric cottage heat if needed (not likely in the warm seasons) and natural cool air flow coming down off the high ground behind the cottage. If it sounds like a nice place, it truly is.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
