Year Purchased: 2007
Marketing and Advertising professional, husband is an architect. We love the area and bought this industrial building in 2007, demolished the interior and rebuilt a modern, clean, stylish second home for ourselves. I was recently laid off which is why we are allowing others to enjoy our space.
Why the Owner Chose Half Moon Bay
so much activity- fresh flowers, surf and pony rides- lots of fun...different activities every weekend- air show, Saturday summer flower market, local wineries, good seafood, fishing, surfing, hiking and biking. Feels a world away from the City when in fact we are only 20 minutes away.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Cant get any closer to Mavericks World class surf competition! This is the working harbor, less touristed part of Half Moon- authentic and rustic-there are fishermen and their boats (lots of crabpots too) on properties near the house. There is also a fog horn blowing at certan weather patterns-some people dont like it-we do. We find all of this charming which is why we bought it as our second home. We like that the area is less tourist, rustic and authentic, but some people wish for more of the manicured, planned community feel.
