Whiteface is approx 15 minutes from the home. Center of Lake Placid is approx 2 minutes. You are right in the center of everything. This home is absolutely beautiful. The website does not do it justice. We found there was plenty of room for 2 families consisting of 8 people. We would definitely stay again, but probably not during the holiday.

Great Place for a group

A group of us stayed here over the Labor day weekend and we had a great time. The house is huge and has every amenity that you can imagine. Even with 6 people everyone had their own space and privacy. It is a short walk into town and a quick 10 minute drive to the Olympic facilities and the hiking trails. The photos on the site do not really do the place justice, the kitchen is especially great. I would highly recommend this property and I can’t wait to get back up here during ski season!

Ironman Triathlon 2011

My family and my sister-in-law's family stayed here for the week of the Ironman triathlon (July 2011). Simply put, this place is excellent. There were a total of 10 of us (with children ranging in age from 13 - 1). The townhouse was more than spacious and the three floor layout gave lots of room for the adults and kids. The unit is clean, very well appointed and has everything you could think of. The location is also great...a short walk to Mirror Lake and to the shops and restaurants in the village. It is also very close to an excellent restaurant (Lisa G's) and a bar if you want a quick meal or drink. For someone looking for a rental for Ironman week the location is perfect given the proximity to the lake and to the bike and run course. We were so close that we could go back to the towhhouse at certain points of the day without having to deal with closed roads or fear of missing my wife or sister-in-law as they biked or ran by. My wife and I hope to participate in the 2013 Ironman. If we do, this will be our first choice for lodging. Thanks, David...everything was great.

The pictures truly do not do this place justice. It is much larger than the photos suggest. We had two families there for a weekend and with three levels, we didn't at all feel cramped or crowded. The kitchen is awesome and the guys cooked up a storm! (not to mention the 12 inches of snow we had over one of days that we were there). We would surely consider renting again.

Your home was just perfect in everyway, spacious rooms, kitchen, all bathrooms, everything was clean, neat you really felt at home. The weather was great, cold and alot of snow, great for sking. The kitchen had everything you could need from the griddle for pancakes to the crockpot for soup, to the pasta pot. The bathrooms very clean. The finished downstairs could fit another family, which is where my son and his friend hung out, in the evening, just like at home ! So thank you again for sharing your home.

I stayed in this unit in August and I have to tell you I the pictures and descriptions don't do this place justice. From the beautiful hard wood floors to the custom kitchen to the gorgeous hand made furnishings...this place has it all. My husband and I loved the proximity to the village, which is definitely within walking distance for most people. There is a great bar/restaurant right at the entrance to the development called Lisa G's. Great food and great prices. The condo definitely is fully stocked with everything you can need. They must have enough dishes to throw a dinner party for 20 people. We also loved the gas grill in the back. It allowed us to barbecue with our kids one of the nights rather than going out. All in all, I don't think you can beat this place for a luxurious stay in Lake Placid. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms for less than you'd pay at the Lake Placid Lodge or Whiteface Lodge. Book it, you won't be sorry.
Owner response:Thanks for the glowing review. We look forward to having you and your family stay with us again.
