  We absolutely loved Key Lime Cottage! Everything was above our expectations...the cottage had everything we needed and was clean and centrally located so our stay was perfect!   We had an excellent stay at the Key Lime Cottage. The cottage is new, clean, and well-stocked with the necessities to feel at home as well as extra useful items for use during day-long beach trips (towels, beach chairs, beach mats, cooler, boogie boards, etc.) The beach is just across the street from the cottage, which is on a calmer, residential road. Rainbow bay is very picturesque, clear turquoise shallow waters great for snorkeling, swimming, and safe if you have young swimmers with you. Eleuthera itself is a place where you can experience Bahamian life, slow down, relax, and be in a truly picturesque setting without the touristy-scene. There are so many beaches to explore by car and the cottage is centrally located to all parts of the island. We must say that the people we met really treated us like family. The owner took time to explain the cottage's amenities and nearby services as we prepared for our trip and was very flexible to meet our needs. The cottage's caretaker, called us mid-stay to check-in on us and is a wonderful cook (fri/sat bbq at their home and/or ordering meals from them is highly recommended- delicious and a bargain). Their son manages the car rental and was also kind enough to help us with local travel arrangements during our stay. The only thing the Key Lime Cottage doesn't have is internet, which is perhaps a good thing if you are looking to disconnect during your vacation (there is a phone for local calls and that was very helpful). We found a great place with wifi in nearby Alice Town/Hatchet Bay called "The Front Porch" on the Queen's Hwy, but you do need your laptop or smartphone to connect. We enjoyed a few great meals there and nice views of the bay. The owners are also lovely people. Visit Eleuthera to experience Bahamian culture and natural beauty, and the Key Lime Cottage to feel truly at home. Great trip!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

We hope they are able to make a return visit. On an additional note, the local phone company just upgraded internet services for the Rainbow Bay area, and the Key Lime Cottage is expected to have internet installed soon.

  Excellent cottage with small dining area. Within a few yards of the best & safest beach in Rainbow Bay on the Caribbean side of Eleuthera. Very suitable for family of four or two adult couples. Close to one of the best restaurants on Eleuthera (Rainbow Inn).

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

  It was absolutely wonderful! The house is adorable and you have thought of every necessary item! The caretakers were very attentative and we felt very much like we were visiting old friends. After riding around to several of the other beaches to explore, we all agreed that Rainbow Bay was the one we liked best. We were even treated to an actual rainbow over the beach viewed from the house on our first day there. . . We will definitely be back!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway.

  We have rented cottages and apartments before for vacation accomodations and the Keylime Cottage was the best by far. It provided everything we needed, so that we had a comfortable home base to return to after enjoying the beauty of the beaches and the unsophisticated-in-a-good-way nature of the island. Perfect spot in Eleuthera! ·

  Thanks for all, Tamara. We had a great time and the house is really nice and very comfortable. We had great weather, great snorkeling, and great food and drink (as usual on Eleuthera). It was really nice being right across from the beach - no loading the car just for an hour at the beach. Anyone with children would love it. Anyway, thanks again. We'll be back soon.

  We loved the house & had the best vacation ever. We had great weather & covered more of the Island than I ever have in my 3 previous trips. The Stubbs are great people, Kean was great & the BBQ was delicious. We did our best to leave the house as we found it. We did not need to use the A/C, the washer & dryer, or the 2nd bedroom. You did a great job with that house & we respect that. We were out & about most of the time any how. Thanks again, we look forward to going back soon.

  We stayed for a week at the Key Lime House on Eleuthra and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very comfortable and had all the essentials to make us feel at home. The home is very close to beautiful Rainbow Bay where we spent our days. We have two children ages 4 and 2. There was a very descriptive and informative book provided by the owners to help with our vacation. We would definitely return when we return to Eleuthra.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

  Key Lime Cottage is a lovely, new home just across the street from Rainbow Bay beach. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, washer dryer, full kitchen, front deck, satellite tv, beach toys etc, this rental is a great choice for a quiet getaway for couples or small families. Very romantic for two. I have stayed in 3 other rentals in Eleuthera and this one is better equipped than any of them. Highly recommended.
