We had a wonderful stay. It was the most time we have spent together. Loved having the kids unplugged from their electronics. We had many wonderful meals with extended family. We have 5 kids and were still able to entertain 4 more adults effortlessly. All the pool toys and the bikes made for great quality family time. Thanks again to the owners for a great stay.

A true paradise in Florida

We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida, the second half of which we spent in this fantastic house in Englewood. All the way through from making the initial enquiry, making the booking, arrival and departure, the owner was approachable and responsive. It was exactly as described, but better! Easy to find, yet in a blissfully quiet residential neighbourhood, close to a creek, this home is set in attractive, well-tended gardens. Upon arrival we entered to find a beautifully prepared welcome basket, along with a note and helpful details about the local area and all the kinds of details that you need when arriving at a new place - these are the little touches that make all the difference! The home itself is tastefully decorated, comfortable and has every amenity that you could require on vacation. The pool is clean and well-appointed, and although we didn't take the opportunity there were even bikes provided! The availability of free wifi was a boon, as we could explore the local area online as well as making use of all the helpful information provided. All in all, this home helped to make our vacation really special, and the Englewood and Venice area is beautiful and unspoilt. We will certainly be back one day! Our only regrets were having to leave, and not having the opportunity to thank the owners personally for making their holiday home available - Dale and Joanna, thanks so very much for everything!

This place is amazing - so much nicer than the pictures can show. We chose this house as a reunion/vacation location for our kids and grand kids for a week. We're spread out across the country and wanted to stay in one place this trip. We had 7 adults and 2 children, and there was more than enough room for everyone. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood. All of the neighbors we met were very friendly. It's convenient to anything you might want or need - the beaches, stores, parks and restaurants. When you enter the home, it's immediately warm and inviting, very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. There are two living room areas, separated by the kitchen allowing for privacy. The bedrooms are all roomy with very comfy beds and plenty of closet and dresser space. The master bathroom has one of the nicest showers we've ever used. The pool is immaculate and warm - we spent many hours there. We picked a fresh grapefruit off a tree on the property one day and added it to our fruit salad - a bit ugly but so sweet. We've stayed in several homes in the Englewood area over the years, and this is by far the nicest home for the price. The owners are wonderful to deal with, the property is well maintained, and the house and pool are simply beautiful. We hope to return soon for another stay.

Just so you know, we are here now for a week to enjoy, relax and do a little maintenance. We have replaced all the exterior lights and painted the outside trim, to sharpen the home's image a bit. Very spacoius well maintained home in a very quite community, just minutes from a secluded beach. The covered pool was wonderful. Your a few minutes drive from shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this rental to family and friends.

Peaceful Vacation

We truly enjoyed staying at this lovely vacation home. The pool was a true treasure when we weren't spending the day at the beaches only a short drive away. We enjoyed the local restuarants and the close drive times to other places of interest including Mote Aquarium in Sarasota. You will not be disappointed if you stay here - a true treasure.

This is a great house! If you rent it you will enjoy it. Nicely done, very comfortable and a great floor plan. Open all the sliding glass doors and you are at the pool all the time! Hop on one of the bikes (provided with the house!) and ride to the beach for sunset, or for the day!

We enjoyed our month in this beautiful home which combines the comfort of staying in a quiet residential neighborhood and vacation amenities only minutes away. It takes a leisurely 5 minute drive through the neighborhood to get to the beach. The city of Venice and Englewood's Dearborne St are nearby with plenty of shops and restaurants. The house has every comfort and the pool makes even rest time a treat. Would absolutely rent again.

We (my wife and I) have just spent the last two weeks at this house. If has been an outstanding experience. The house is extremely comfortable, spacious, and bright. It became a home away from home. The location was perfect for what we were looking for; a place to relax that was close to the beach without having to fight a traffic jam every time we wanted to go. There was ample shopping, especially in Venice which was only 15 minutes away. We found many restaurants that were superb with a great variety of menus. We would very much like to come back to this location next year and spend an even longer time.

Fabulous, restful location. Beaches are very close and wonderful. Anything you could want in a Florida vacation is within minutes. House is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The pool with cage is a delight.
