Loved the house - affordable and close to the beach - Loved the ammenities - washing clothes was super convenient. The size of the house allowed us plenty of room and the 4 bedrooms permitted all of us to have our own room. Very clean upon our arrival. The video and photos showed exactly what we saw when we arrived. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants the property. Mahalo!
Owner response:Mahalo to you for staying there!

We rented the house for one week - had 10 of us. There was plenty of room to move and private baths for the master and the queen bedroom. We spend most of our time on the beach - however; when we were at the house it was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We had understood that the owner had recently visited and fixed up many small repair items. We look forward to coming back next summer and spending some more time at Wahi Pana. I would recommend this as a place to stay for all large groups - a house like none other.
Owner response:The house is in great shape right now.

There were 8 medical professionals staying at this home in May 2011. We had to clean when we arrived to the overwhelming odor of mildew. Some people were allergic to the strong smell. The house probably nice at one time; however, it is broken down. The owner lives in Colorado and is not aware of what is going on in his home. The light colored rug had stains on it, the lanai was not safe to stand on due to extensive wood rot. When we drove up we could see the weeds growing out of the roof and deck. I quickly realized the pictures shown on this site were old and not a current representation of what the house actually looked like. The owner when notified, and after sending actual pictures of the issues of the home kept stating that no one else had complained... One more thing the window in the master bedroom bathroom fell out one morning awakening us with a jolt. I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else, I feel this property is a hazard!!!

This home is large, and there are two large TV's. It has good internet, and the appliances work. There were two bikes that looked fine. However, it was musty smelling; there were weeds growing out of the roof and the lanai; the lanai plywood flooring is bubbling; railings have fallen off; there was a large hole in the main bedroom screen door; the carpets and dining room chair seats need cleaning; most surfaces need paint; the owner has left most closet space occupied; there were mouse droppings in the spice cupboard. It has a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. Also, the owner permitted a realtor to show the house while we were out for the day, without letting us know--we didn't even know it was for sale. The owner was uncommunicative, and very slow to return our deposit--through an employee, he kept saying he had 30 days to return it, then sent a check, late, to return a deposit he had taken by credit card and could have returned the same way. I would not recommend this place to anyone I cared for.
Owner response:Unfortunately, I live in land locked Colorado and rely on professionals to monitor my home while I am not there. All items needing repair have been fixed and cleaned. The house is no longer for sale and as such, this is no longer an issue. Many travelers have repeatedly stayed at my house with very pleasant results. As you can see by the availability schedule, this home is very popular and has been rented consitently for the last 3 years.

We had a large group of 10 adults and felt very comfortable in the accomodations. The four bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and futon areas provided more than enough privacy for all of us. And the days were spent in the sun at the beautiful north shore beaches. Mahalo!

The house worked out great and we enjoyed ourselves. The boogie boards and other water toys you have gave us the vacation we dreamed about. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. We needed time away from the mainland and got very refreshed. With the ocean views from the kitchen, it made preparing meals relasing. The mature vegetation surrounding the house gave us the feeling of complete seclusion.

We had a two week stay at your place. It was the best vacation I ever had. One of the top 10 shore dives in the world according to Dive maagazine is at Sharks Cove. I will be back! Thank you.

Your house was very relaxing and a five minute walk to the beach. Being a doctor, it got me away from the hustle and bustle of main street stress. I will recommend to all.
