Wahlhiefer Haus, an original German working farmhouse, has
its rich history built into the decor, revealing a peek at country life. It has been completely renovated, with central heat and air, hardwood floors, and all the comforts of modern country living. With five bedrooms and two bathrooms, the Haus sleeps 14. The Bunkhouse sleeps an additional 11.
We offer vacation rental properties, family vacations, weekly and monthly rentals, vacation getaways, and pet friendly vacation rentals. We have gorgeous scenery and surroundings in a setting that will allow you to relax and unwind.
We are centrally located, minutes from the Guadalupe and Comal rivers, Gruene, Schlitterbahn and the famous Prime and Tanger outlet malls. You can also take advantage of all the fine dining, entertainment, and numerous activities that are close by.
The Kingsley Room is a private bedroom with king size bed and TV/VCR. An adjoining room, with private entrance, has a daybed which can be used for bedroom or sun room. Queen Anne bedroom has queen size bed with TV and adjoining bedroom with twin bed.
Lady Gebauer room has queen size bed with private bathroom. The living room has two futons (which make up into double beds) with a twin bed on top of each--sleeping six. There is a dining room table, TV/DVD/VCR (with lots of movies), books, and games.
The Bunkhouse has two sets of double bunk beds and one futon with bunk above. It has TV/DVD and microwave oven. Main bathroom has old-fashioned claw foot tub with shower attachment. There is also an outdoor shower.

While here, you can visit the historic town of Gruene, raft down the Guadalupe River, toob the Comal, enjoy Schlitterbahn Waterpark (the No. 1 waterpark in the US), shop at Prime and Tanger Outlet Malls, walk to Riley's Tavern (the oldest Tavern in Texas), or listen to the lonesome sound of a train whistle and the warble of a brilliant red cardinal, while feeding the nearly tame resident squirrels.
Situated between Austin and San Antonio, there are unlimited tourist attractions in the area.
