This home is a luxurious gem tucked gently into the woods of South Egremont. Quiet, private, secluded, and sun-filled - this home has much to offer for a summer getaway. Situated across from a tree farm, at the end of a cul-du-sac, just minutes from Egremont's public golf course, wonderful restaurants like John Andrew's and The Old Mill, hiking, swimming, and only 10 minutes from Great Barrington makes you within easy reach of all that the Berkshires has to offer.
Three bedrooms: a queen suite on the main floor with a gorgeous tiled bathroom complete with jetted tub, and a separate shower stall. There is a second queen suite on the second floor, with another full bathroom and a privacy wall for the commode. The third bedroom, also on the second floor, has two twin beds and a full sized wooden crib which can be left in or taken out if not needed. There is another full sized sofa-bed in the upstairs loft area. The house is filled with light from skylights and has an open floor plan with a 2 story cathedral ceiling in the living areas. An "observation deck" on the second floor looks down into the living room on the main floor... with a telescope is situated here... ready for stargazing!
The open kitchen with breakfast bar and dining room offers plenty of seating with a table that expands to seat 10 or more with the counter seating. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The screened porch provides another wonderful opportunity for dining al fresco without the bugs! The expansive sundeck provides more seating,. sun and privacy so no one (except who YOU want) will see how tiny your tan lines are becoming!
There is AC on the main floor with extra fans for the upstairs. Due to the open floor plan this works well. There is an automatic door opener for the garage which brings you directly into the house for ease during inclement weather and a code entry in case you forget your keys or just don't want to carry any. The property has regular landscape maintenance.
You can get decent cell service on the screened porch. The internet in currently dial-up but we will look into other possibilities if this is needed for a seasonal booking of one month or longer. Basic Satellite TV is available if desired. There is a DVD and VCR available.
The Berkshires is known for its wonderful shopping, restaurants, galleries, live theater, hiking trails, swimming holes, and ski resorts. We pretty much have it all here and South Egremont is central to all of these activities and more. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow as well as many wonderful museums are all within a shirt drive through the most stunning roadways in the Northeast. This home provides a wide array of cultural recommends as well as a thorough home-information packet. Come on in and relax.... You're on vacation!

Summer: $5,000/month .. $9,500/2 months (One month minimum).
rates are all inclusive except for housekeeping during the rental period.
A $500 refundable security deposit is required.
