We both very much enjoyed our weekend in Arch Cape at the Cozy Kahuna. It's a stone's throw to the beach, the hot tub was fabulous, and we got lucky and the weather was also fabulous. We will definitely go back! :)
Owner response:Yes, the weather in February has always been surprisingly sunny and warm at the coast.

We stayed at the Cozy Kahuna for my partner's surprise birthday party. The Cozy Kahuna is cute and comfy, with nice comfortable beds and everything you'd need for a small-ish group to have a great time close to the beach...including a big hot tub! The beach access is 2 or 3 houses over, about a 20 second walk.
Owner response:Ahhhh, yes, everybody LOVES the hot tub! Thanks for commenting on how comfortable the beds are too.

I have stayed at The Cozy Kahuna three years in a row now. It is the best value I have found on the coast and the cottage is a perfect size for us! Clean, quaint and located close enough to shopping, galleries, and restaurants yet peaceful and serene at the same time. We sit on the deck and watch the sunsets, and the hot tub is perfect in every way. The price is right and the owner is very helpful and easy to work with.
Owner response:It is always a compliment to have guests return year in and year out. Thank you very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Cozy Kahuna. Cozy describes the comfort of the cottage and location. Sunsets from the hot tub were breathtaking and the cottage provided the comforts of home. Satelite tv is a bonus although it is such a beautiful spot, we hardly turned it on. The location is amazing and the beach walks are endless. The sounds of the waves were extremely soothing. We would definitely come back to this amazing spot. Thank you!
Owner response:Thank you for such a great review! Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

My husband and my 6 month old daughter stayed here for 4 nights. It was absolutely perfect for a young baby - we had space, privacy, easy beach access AND a hot tub to enjoy while she napped! We loved this place. Of course we lucked out with perfect, sunny weather too - which always helps!
Owner response:Glad to hear you had a great time and that you enjoyed the hot tub!

My girlfriends and I had a great time at Cozy Kahuna. It was the perfect size for four girls, and would also be great for a couple or a small family. The location is ideal and the setting is very peaceful. The hot tub is very private and was a great touch.
Owner response:Thank you for the Great review! Glad to hear everybody had a great time and that you enjoyed hot tub and the setting.

The house is very old and not a good experience. The smell was so bad we did not even stay at the house and spent the weekend trying to find a new place. Canon Beach is a great area and the beach is beautiful. The furniture and carpet was very old as well as the appliances. The deck was falling down and the hot tub was green with slime. Not safe for kids. The owner gave us a hard time about helping us because he already had our money. We traveled a long ways to be very disappointed.
Owner response:Unfortunately, the cottage was not ready for these guests when they arrived. I had taken my first vacation in 2 years and left another person in charge of the cottage. After 19 years of renting and thousands of happy guests, we messed up. The offensive smell was wood refinishing oil that had not dried fully. The Master bedroom furniture has just been replaced and the living room furniture is 5 years old. The carpet is 6 years old and is professionally steamed cleaned 3 times per year. The deck has been repaired. I refunded the guests 100% of their money when I returned from vacation. The Hot Tub is professionally maintained by a hot tub service which cleans and balances the water each week and the filters are cleaned before each new guest arrives. Our ultimate goal is to please everyone, all the time and to have our guests return over and over again. As much as we strive for this, unfortunately the cottage was not ready for these guests.

My daughter and I and her two little boys stayed at the Cozy Kahuna for three nights in mid May. Arch Cape and its surrounds are familiar stomping grounds for us so we took advantage of the many opportunities for cove and headland adventures. The Cozy Kahuna provided a great base for our activities. The cottage was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the boys took the loft as their own for private games with their legos and cars. The steep stairway to the loft also provided great fun. The youngest boy cried when we left "his" cottage to return home.

The Cozy Kahuna was the perfect place for us and our two dogs..cozy and comfortable! The beach access was very close, such a quick walk to get to a nice long walk on the beach (we had to be careful of high tide though during the winter!) We loved the quiet neighborhood. It was fun to walk around with the dogs, and everyone we met was very friendly. We also enjoyed exploring the great hiking nearby. And the hot tub, ahhhh, so nice! We really loved the affordability and the chance to clean and bring our own linens to save money. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your cozy cottage! We hope to return soon :)

The Cozy Kahuna is a great retreat for smaller groups who want to spend some time at the lovely and semi-secluded Arch Cape. When we stayed there, the place was clean and the jacuzzi was ready! The kitchen is spacious, with ample counter space and large windows with a view of the ocean. The upstairs loft is actually fairly spacious, with two single beds or room for a couple to snuggle up together an inflatable mattress. The jacuzzi has ocean views, and the house has easy beach access. Best of all, the house is indeed cozy, creating a relaxing, restful atmosphere.

We had this place rented for 3 nights but were unable to stay because it was so dirty, stinky, and run down. Carpet (tacky leopard print) was dirty and worn. Floor in bathroom was cracked, shower door would not stay close, mildew on towel rack, and towels were dirty and stained. Hot tub was greasy, stinky, and dirty. Dishes and silverware were dirty. Dirty towels were left in washer. Holes in walls were covered with cheap pictures. Light switch plates were dirty. Lamp and tables were worn and cracked. Old TV with only 6 stations. Futon fabric was greasy and dirty. Outdoor chairs dirty. Exterior of house dirty and not well maintained. Spider webs and bugs inside house. There was no way my elderly mother and 2 adult daughters were going to stay in such a dirty run down place. We left and were able to find a clean place to stay for the three nights. The owner, Greg, did not appear to be surprised we found the house a dirty mess. Of course, he had all his bases covered with his 5 page rental contract and did not offer us a refund or any compensation. I have rented several vacation homes over the years and have never encountered such a dirty rundown place. I would not recommend this property to anyone except the county health department.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this adorable little cottage! We loved the location (the close, clean, and secluded beach), the hot tub, and the fun & cozy set-up (perfect for games, movies, and late-night talks). We hope to return again next year!

My fiance and I rented the Cozy Kahuna last February because we were so excited about the cost (wow, what a deal!) and the hot tub feature. We have always loved Cannon Beach and we plan on going back to the Cozy Kahuna each February! We thought the location was amazing. You can find the most breathtaking views of the beach. The actual beach itself was only steps away. The beach was practically secluded (it was February). We got to experience an amazing storm, but stayed comfortable and warm in the house. The kitchen was perfect to cook in and we enjoyed the cozy living room at night. Thank you to Greg for a wonderful long weekend! We'll be back!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Kahuna. Very clean and comfortable, and a great value for the price! Several times during our stay we had the entire beach to ourselves.

That was the most relaxing vacation we have had! The weather was not perfect, but the house is cozy, just like the desription and the rain actually encouraged us to be lazy and relax, which is not something we get to do often enough. The house is a short walk to the beach and the beach is beautiful and clean, with hardly no people perfect for a walk and late night campfire. Shopping is just a short ride away in Cannon beach, and if you have never been there then its a must. We enoyed this vacation very much and would recomend this rental.

Hi Greg, We had a great time at the cottage! Looking forward to renting from you in the near future. Attached are some photos of us enjoying the local beach. We loved how quiet the neighborhood and arch cape beach was, when Cannon Beach was overflowing with people.
