The cottage sits 12 feet from the water's edge in a quiet, private setting. Duck Puddle Pond is a small lake (250 acres) good for fishing, swimming, and boating. There are no other rental cottages on our side of the lake. The view across the lake is pristine Maine woods.
There is a one-room cabin near the cottage that is occasionally used by the owners, at unpredictable times. The location is quiet and ideal for walking water activities, and bicycling. Wild foul is abundant (great blue heron, Canada geese, eagles), and the fishing is good. A small fishing boat is provided, in addition to two kayaks, one canoe, and life jackets.
The combination of unusual serenity with easy access to town makes this a unique vacation spot. Over the years we have had numerous repeat renters as well as one-time renters who have raved about the beauty, serenity and privacy of this cottage.
