We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is beautiful! It is so warm, peaceful, comfortable, and well stocked. We came here to visit Falling Water and were not disappointed. It is truly an amazing home to visit. We also went to Kentuck Knob, which was interesting, and the United Flight 93 Memorial, which was very special. We spent a day in Pittsburgh and visited the Incline, the Science Museum, the Andy Warhol Museum, the National Aviary, and the Natural History Musuem. All had something unique to offer. But, at night we loved coming back to the house and sitting in front of the fire and relaxing. Shari was wonderful to work with. We would love to return again someday.

Wedded Bliss

Pictures do not do this home justice. We stayed there with our wedding party. We were looking for a place for pictures and a place where our wedding party could stay, seeing most of our wedding party was from out of town. This was the perfect place. Everyone loved the house. Were were not crowded one bit. There was plenty of room for us to hang out as a group and everyone also had their own privacy. The location was so peaceful and secluded. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing, as well as our wedding weekend. We are going to try and get everyone from our wedding weekend back together at the same house for our anniversary. This time we will enjoy the house for the whole weekend. Shari was amazing to work with. She was very flexible, helpful and accomidating up to the very last minute. You will not be disappointed with this property. Thank you Shari for making my wedding that much more memorable.

Perfest for a family gathering

We were in the area for a wedding and rather than stay at hotels, our extended family decided to stay at this beautiful home. The spaciousness and furnishings accomodated all 14 of us wonderfully allowing us to hang out together and the opportunity to go off and read/sleep/whatever without being disturbed. It was close to stores and restaurants and everything we needed but it also had the feel of being alone in the country as well. The long summer evenings, pond and horse ranch off the back porch only made the stay more memorable. The ammenities of the home provided us everything we needed for our enjoyment during our stay. The pictures of the home do not do it justice, but only provide a limited idea of the size and "comfortableness" of the home. The number of bathrooms was very much appreciated while staying 8 women from 20 to 60! Overall, I could not have been happier with the home. It not only met our expectations, but exceeded them all leaving wonderful memories for our family.

As a group of old friends we manage to get together once per year to play golf and reminisce. In years past we have visited various states throughout the East looking for the ideal gathering venue and each year returned home somewhat disappointed for one reason or another. That is, until last June when we traveled to PA and stayed at Sundance. To a person the response to the house, its layout and features, was overwhelmingly positive and we have since decided that this is now our venue of choice for future gatherings. I highly encourage anyone who may be interested to stay at Sundance, you will not leave disappointed.

Lots of high tech: TVs, audio, wireless web, and kitchen appliances. The wood work is quite charming and rustic. Yes, this is a nice home, but don't expect a custom home (think higher end Ryan Home): bathroom doors that don't latch shut (kids walked in on adults undressing to take a shower), a leaky roof from the snow (it's a mountain retreat--- shouldn't this be addressed during construction?), low-grade hardware (cabinet knobs, front door lock, faucets), and cold air gushing from wall switches and plugs. We arrived only to have to dig our way thru 3 feet of snow (no joke) in order to gain access from the driveway to the front porch.... so travel with a snow shovel (it was not a problem for us, but fortunately none of us has a heart condition). Also, this house has lots of toddler-UNFRIENDLY things: tons of cheap, fragile, and dangerous nick-nacks, a scorching hot fireplace glass shield, and very uneven and inadequate heat (esp in the master suite). Furthermore, the bathroom situation is woefully inadequate for 16 people. So, if you wanna kick back and enjoy faux-lux and you have teen kids, this is the place for you. People who appreciate genuine craftsmanship or have little ones (who get into things and spill cereal), find another place.

Owner response:Sundance has been rented every weekend since early December with a few exceptions and has had only positive comments from other renters. As listed in our fact sheet that is sent to every potential renter, we only rent to customers who are looking for a luxurious, well-maintained home and do not encourage renters looking to have parties or who have unattended small children. This particular renter left the home in a very unkept manner as it seemed as though a child or children carried food with them throughout the home. Additionally there was an unacceptable indiscretion left on the floor of the bathroom that was not a soiled diaper. As for the water leak, it has been mitigated. This has been an extremely harsh winter for ice and snow especially in the mountains. We did make the customer aware of an ice leak in the corner of the master bathroom. This is now repaired. Regarding the snow on the sidewalk. The driveway was clear, however, we were in the middle of a snowstorm that began Thursday February 25 thru Saturday. It was difficult for the people who shovel the sidewalks to get to the houses and to catch up on all snow removal on the sidewalks. The depth of the snow was 18 inches and we apologize for our contractors not arriving at the home in a timely manner. Regarding the quality of the home, we have been in the custom home business for over 25 years and have first-hand knowledge of the high-end quality of this home and its furnishings and enjoy staying here ourselves. We are quite meticulous regarding comfort, amenities and maintenance of this home, which do not reflect this particular customer's idea of usage. For the short time this home has been complete (Oct 2009) we have had 4 repeat family rentals.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers.

Great house

We had a terrific experience on our family ski trip at the Sundance house. The house is brand new and in excellent condition, and the interior and furnishings are top of the line. The layout of the house also gives a very spacious feel; it works well for extended families or multiple families, particularly with kids - the upstairs loft area works great for kids, with pool table, bumper pool table, theatre room, and bunk room. The house is just across from Hidden Valley, and about 15 minutes to Seven Springs for an easy drive. The owners also take a lot of care in maintaining the house and being available to renters - we liked renting from them. We would definitely go back.

My family and I have rented homes in the Outer Banks, St. John, Sedona and in Utah. This was, by far, the most beautiful and meticulously maintained home we have stayed in. We are quite "picky" about cleanliness of furniture, carpets and bathrooms and could have stayed here longer just because we felt so at home. It's a wonderful place for family because everyone can have their separate sleeping quarters as well as their own "hang out" areas. The kids were upstairs playing pool and watching movies while we (the adults) enjoyed the great room around the fireplace and playing cards in the dining area. We plan to come during the summer so that we can enjoy the deck and back yard - too much snow this time around!

Overall this house was a dream location for us. 4 families met with about 7 children. The house had so much to offer, beautiful decor with ample room for all. Poker and pool table were a big hit among all... Ladies loved the kitchen facility as well. You name it and it was there. Our only comments for improvement: We couldnt get to really use the TV in the media room work with our Computer... Part of the reason is the abundance of remotes in the house. Too many electronic gadgets means far tooo many remotes.. At some point it became a task to figure out which one is for which equipment. SUGGEST HAVING AN UNIVERSAL REMOTE We will defnly come back to this place next year... Loved it all. Thanks Shari for your help in making our vacation all the more enjoyable
