Why the Owner Chose Lakeside
I wanted to be on a lake. I love Montana. I love Flathead Lake, it is gorgeous and pleasant enough to swim in. And I love the people of Montana. Another plus is that Lakeside is so perfectly located. Just a short drive and you are in Kalispell, Somers, Bigfork, Polson, Whitefish and Glacier. A great location!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Having my morning coffee on the dock, swimming with my dogs, going fishing, boating, water skiing, having a glass of wine on the dock at the end of the day.
Dining on the lake. Docking space for arriving by boat. Delicious food.

Convenient for your grocery needs. Also has a deli, movie rental. Sells ice.
Fun atmosphere, good food and great brews. Setting is along Stoner Creek a year-round stream that flows right into the Flathead.

Owner's Map of Lakeside
The summer of 1993 I decided to go back to Montana for a vacation. I had graduated from the University of Montana many years prior. My summer memories of Montana began when I was a child and would go to see my Grandmother in Missoula and my Great Aunt in Polson on Finley Point, the south end of the lake. So the summer of '93 a friend found a house for me to rent. I rented it two years in a row and then in '99 I bought it. In 2000 I moved to Montana fulltime.

This property was a perfect location for boating and wave runner activity. It's very close to the rental shop, and refueling the machines could not have been more convenient. The yard was excellent for gathering, visiting, and we enjoyed the chimnea for smores!! Every aspect was represented well on line. I would definately recommend this property, and I would love to stay here again!! There are several restaurants within a five minute drive, and it's certainly possible to walk anywhere in Lakeside. The grocery store is a nice bonus, being so close. We had visitors that boated with our family, so parking for additional vehicles is a challenge, but that's very common along the lake. There is public parking within a 10 minute walk from the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the property.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

My family just loved this little nugget on Flathead Lake. The location is great. We walked to town for dinner, a couple of night. Beautiful. Recommend The Docks. Glacier was close enough for a day trip of hiking and exploring. The kids and our dog loved the lush green lawn. The private dock wasn't only great for keeping our boat, but we loved sunbathing and just playing in the water. This is an older house, but it has all the amenities & is very clean.Booking the trip was handled so professionally. Information provided in a timely manner & the day after we arrived the local contact came by to introduce herself & make sure we had her # in case we needed her. We will definitely book again. A summer to remember.

I have 3 boys, ages 4, 11, and 13 and rented this home for one week during the month of August. It was the perfect rental for us! The home has a huge grassy yard in back overlooking the lake and when we were not boating or swimming we spent most of our time in outdoors. The kitchen was equipped with every small appliance you could possibly need. The library is a wonderful feature and I enjoyed browsing through the books. There is a local boat rental shop just down the road and we rented a pontoon boat a couple of days (very affordable). The location of this home makes a trip to Glacier National Park easy.

I love this little house. It had all the conveniences I needed, but in a simple way. The best part was the big lawn and the lake. I would sit out on the dock in the morning and at the end of the day. The swimming area was great fun and the water was very refreshing. I've been to Lake Tahoe, near where I live, and never can swim in the water, too cold. I also loved being able to walk into Lakeside or take a wonderful walk along the lake. I will definitely return for another stay.
