Great Property!

We rented the cabin for our 40th anniversary and had 15 family members there with us. It was a close walk to the water and the view looking out from the cabin and deck was amazing! The cabin was spacious with the kitchen, dining room and living room open like a great room for large groups. Everything was clean and well maintained. We would definitely rent the cabin again and recommend it to family or friends.

This place was in great shape and Zhanna went out of her way to get things just right before our arrival. Spa is large, clean, and very useful after a day on the mountain. No spiders in the house, which is not always the case in Big Bear cabins. Location is amazing - lake views, right next to the beach, 2 minute drive to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Easy parking for 3-4 cars, more if you want to park inside the driveway. Central heat worked really well. Cable TV channels and WiFi were a great bonus. Overall, great value for the money.

Large Home but no lake access

Total 15 stayed. Although the house was spacious, it did not have lake access as advertised. It was "marsh" land up to the lake and not steps away. Very disappointed! The park next door sounds great until you get woke up every morning at 7am by kids playing because there is no air conditioning and you have to leave the windows open. Pictures of house are generous. The house is not as clean as pictures appear. I wouldn't use luxurious to describe any bed in the house, sandbags up against the house, neglected landscaping, BUT it was close to town, shopping, etc. Would not stay again.
Owner response:Unfortunately, these guests were visiting during a very unusual hot spell in Big Bear and were uncomfortable because of it. Even though we clearly state that we do not have A/C and no one really does in Big Bear, still we are very disappointed that we could not provide the very best experience for our guests. Please take the time to read through our home description carefully to make sure that our home is a good fit for you. We truly want to make your experience renting our home a pleasant one, therefore if and when any issues arise, we address them immediately. Our pictures CLEARLY represent the home you are renting. The pictures are true and accurate. We take pride in keeping a clean, well maintained home for your renting experience. Please feel free to address any comments that clients may have posted and we will be happy to clarify your concerns. We look forward to opening our home to you!

The communication was great with property manager. The location is very good. Close to everything. My family had a great time. Lakeview hot tub was a tremendous bonus. Walk to lake and fishing. Plenty of space for our group.

We have stayed here twice with large groups (8 and 10) and the house is very spacious for everybody. Plenty of towels, sheets/blankets and kitchen settings. Jacuzzi is excellent and the house is well decorated and very cozy. Easy access to skiing and the lake is just in front of you. First time we stayed in the summer, there is a very nice beach right next to the house, gorgeous park, with tennis courts, but with that the house is on a very quiet street. Owner is very nice and easy to deal with. All information on VRBO was accurate and I highly recommend this rental!

We went on vacation in Big Bear, and really wanted to be close to the slopes and on the lake. I have to say that this house was a perfect solution. 3 min drive to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain and right in front of the lake. The house is very large (5 bedrooms, with extra beds in den), super comfortable, great backyard for kids to play, and fantastic jacuzzi outside overlooking the lake. We really liked nice decor, flat screen TV and very comfortable master bedroom. We had a great time, the owner was very friendly and accommodative, and we would absolutely come back.

Large home but no lake access

This home was very large inside and fit our 3 families with kids well. The master bedroom is very spacious, and the downstairs was big enough for us all to eat and have fun. The house is not steps from the lake though, and we were disappointed that we could not walk to the lake for our kids to play. A short drive to the village and grocery stores.
Owner response:Unfortunately, during this guest trip the city of Big Bear Lake has not cleared the weeds that grow on the beach and sometimes block the path from our home to the public beach area. This year we have contacted the city and they have assured us that they will clear the weeds for the upcoming Spring Season. We try very hard to provide the best and most accurate description of our home and will continue to do so.
