Keywords: Cabin
This is a great vacation home on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. This 3 bedroom home is about 30 minutes from Coeur D'Alene, ID and about 45 minutes from the Spokane, WA airport. Travel on nicely paved roads through beautiful and rolling hills of grain and forests, with calendar-picture views of the distant mountains. Nearby is the Circling Raven Golf Course (featured in Golf Magazine) with the adjoining Coeur d'Alene Casino and its restaurants. (They have a wonderful seafood buffet). Enjoy the private community beach and walk to the playground and boat slips or fish off the dock at this scenic get away.
The 3 bedroom home has 2 levels, the upper level has a completely furnished open kitchen/eating area/living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Sliding glass doors lead onto a spacious deck overlooking a magnificent view of the lake, mountains and forests. The lower level consists of a large family/recreation room with a futon, 1 bedroom and bath/laundry room. It also has sliding glass doors onto a patio with a double swing and chairs to enjoy the view. Would be great for 2 couples with children. A Wellness Center in Plummer has pools, fitness equipment and a track among other things. The Kroc Center opened last year in Coeur D' Alene. It has fitness equipment, pools, a water slide and many other features. At $5.00/person/day it's well worth investigating.
The cabin has many entertainment ammenities for all ages such as a volleyball/badminton set, croquet set, adult and children's books, puzzles, board games, foosball table which includes a variety of games, cards, dominoes, swim and beach toys.
Walk down the hill and pick up the morning paper, have your coffee on the deck. Watch and listen to the birds and enjoy the sun rising over the sparkling lake. If you are lucky you may spot wild turkeys, deer and quail walking around the area. Sometimes hawks and eagles can be spotted overhead, while Canada geese, ducks and squirrels and woodland birds are a common sight.
Down the hill you will find our own private community park with a boat ramp, kiddie beach and swim area, a shady picnic table area, volleyball net, horseshoe pit, swings and fire pit. It's about a 10 minute walk, but bring the car for the little ones as there is a long hill
For older and more accomplished swimmers there is a sunning and swimming dock past the boat slips. Kids and adults enjoy fishing off the docks. There are fishing poles for you to use in the livingroom (but no hooks or bait).
You will need a valid ID state fishing license if you are over 13 yrs old, which you can get in Plummer or CDA. South of Cave Bay a tribal license is also required.
A short drive to Coeur D' Alene will provide you with many things to see and do. There are restaurants, coffeehouses, movies, bowling, miniature and regular golf courses and a waterpark. There are live concerts and theatre also. Be sure to visit Figpickles toy store on Sherman St with its unusual toys and kiddie merry-go-round. Nearby is City Park with its wonderful castle playground and public beach. You can get a seaplane ride, ferryboat excursion, and do some parasailing. There are also personal watercraft and paddleboat rentals available. And, of course, there is the Kroc Community center with such a variety of things to do.
There are many more things to see and do in the area. Silverwood Amusement Park has roller coasters and other rides. There are Silver and Gold mine tours and museums in Wallace- about an hour's drive east on Route 90. Spokane, with it's Imax theater, Riverfront Park, and great shopping and restaurants is another wonderful destination and only about 45 minutes away.
At the cabin, a big book of information on things to do and see is available for your planning pleasure.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1996
My husband and I purchased the land for this property in 1992. Our son, his wife and grandchildren lived in CDA and we wanted our own place while visiting from PA. We designed and had built this place in 1996 for our own use. Since I moved out here I found it was not being used very much and decided to rent it out for others to enjoy.
Why the Owner Chose Cave Bay
My husband and I purchased the land in 1992. We had family living in the area and decided we wanted our own place when we traveled from the east. We designed and had built our home away from home in 1996. We fell in love with all the area had to offer. The lake and scenery are beautiful, the fishing was great and the air was clean and fresh. Besides that Coeur D' Alene has alot to offer.

The birds and wildlife were wonderful to wake up to and we enjoyed sitting on the deck at night watching the stars. We spent alot of time at the water, spent a day in Spokane and walked around at night. We can't wait to come back next year.

We can't thank you enough for opening up your lovely cabin for our vacation. WE had a wonderful time.--We spent many evenings down on the beach roasting marshmallows. We went to Harrison to rent bikes and ride around on the bike trail We made a road trip to Kellog where I ran a 5K and rode the gondola and played in the snow. We hit the pools at the KROC center. We had great food, lots of great wine and enjoyed a fireworks display at the casino. So as you can see We made the most of our stay.

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.We truly enjoyed our 5 days here. Our two little ones (18 mo & 3 yrs) were thrilled with all of the toys downstairs and the giant stuffed animals on their beds. We loved sitting outside on the deck and looking at the lake. -------5 days was too short a time to see and do everything.

We enjoyed your cozy cabin and boating on the beautiful lake. We ate on the deck a few times to take in the beautiful scenery. The kids loved Silverwood and played on the wooden structure in the park in CDA. Your place is very well equipped which made us feel right at home and was so nice for the kids.

Thank you for a lovely place to spend our family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed boating at the lake, visiting Harrison for delicious ice cream and a stop at the candy store. The flowers on the deck and the view made for several relaxing evenings. The foosball table saw plenty of action as well.
