We have stayed at this house 3 time since 2009 and will go back again this year. We have 3 young kids and they really enjoy being right on the beach! The ammenities are perfect, love the surround sound in all the rooms. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, thank you for making our family vacations something to remember!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

These owners have not missed a detail and the home is the best built - solid, no corners cut- and best located on the island. It can accomodate small to large groups with no problem (we had 8 total including 4 young kids). Fun colors and happy feel. We only suggest you confirm that the house is properly and thoroughly cleaned before you unpack as the housekeeper was not able to finish the job on the day we checked in.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

We feel very fortunate to experience the beauty and premier location of this house in mid June. The pictures do not do the house justice. The decor is simply jaw dropping. A newly built house with a taste of nostalgia. The bedrooms are oversized and tastefully decorated with reflective designs of Tommy Bahama. The layout of the house features an open floor floor between the living, dining and kitchen. The house is exceptionally well stocked with any and all kitchen utensils and an oversized pantry. The main floor features the master bedroom suite with en suite bathroom. Additionally, the main floor has a 1/2 bathroom and a dream laundry room. The thoughtful design of the house offers a shower in the laundry room situated right by the side door. Perfect for showering down the children coming off the beach. The upstairs has three large bedrooms that each offers access to the terrace overlooking the beach. There is a lounge area with couch as well that opens to a second upper terrace that provides sunset and intracoastal views. The house is perfect for young children with ample space and large terraces. Finally, the beach. The piece de resistance. Figure Eight Island is an absolute treasure. Secluded and quiet with very little traffic. The beach essentially seems to be your private beach due to the limited access for the public to get to. All in all, this was an absolutely stunning house that we were floored by. We tend to stay in some extravagent and luxurious villas in the Caribbean but this house ranked up there due to it's casual but luxurious design and detail coupled with it's extraordinary location. In fact, we had a busy itinerary planned to visit wilmington, bald head island and a few other local attractions but once we set foot in the house. We immediately cancelled those plans to maximize our time here. We can't wait to return.
Owner response:Wow. Thank you so much. I need to copy & paste your review to my description page.

Awesome place is all I can say! If you want a relaxing time and your own private beach then this is the place for you. Going back for our third time in April for my wifes 40th B-day. I just can't say enough good things about the home and the owners. If you get a chance you have to stay here.
Owner response:Glad to have you back.
