Cabin-style, cozy single story vacation house nestled above a quiet cove on Canyon Lake. Gorgeous view with stunning sunsets. Stroll onto the deck, pour a glass of wine and reflect on just how good life can be! Feel like a little exploring or exercise on the water? Steps lead down to the water and a 2-man kayak is available for family fun, or fishing.
House amenities are just right for a small family or two couples with children, the rooms are tastefully furnished and the two queen size beds are high quality and comfortable. The third bedroom has a trundle bed and converts to two smaller size single beds suitable for children, and they have to share bathhroom #2 with the second bedroom. A 'luxury air mattress' (if there is such a thing, but hey, that's what it said on the box) could sleep another adult/two kids.
A small kitchen and deck BBQ will help you cater your vacation and two bathrooms are attached to the bedrooms. A wood burning fireplace in the rustic-style sitting room is cozy at night, although the air-conditioner or heater will actually keep the temperature perfect for you. For your laundry needs a washer and tumble dryer are on site. Pets are okay too, however the property is unfenced, so if your dog tends to run away, better plan on doing some chasing.
The house is situated on a quiet side street and the neighbors are genuinely friendly. This house is the perfect get away vacation rental for a couple or two looking to relax in a quiet, beautiful environment but that has recreational amenities close by to stop you getting bored too!
Canyon Lake is a private gated community. A modern clubhouse with a beautiful bar and restaurant is just a short 5 minute walk away. The main beach is there too, with a kids play area, a wide sandy beach and a large roped off swimming area for lakewater fun. There are several local 'parks' within Canyon Lake, with the closest one just a few yards away; the other beaches and parks are available too for simply hanging out or exploring, although they would probably require a 5 minute car ride to get there as they're located elsewhere on the property and you have to drive around the lake. All have roped off swimming areas to keep you safe and allow the kids to have a riot in safety too. A two-man kayak is for rent at $50/stay, (or included for monthly renters).
Canyon Lake’s private 18-hole, SCGA approved, Regulation Golf Course is a par-71, 5,868-yard course that offers all the challenges any longer course would have. Green fees for guests are $45 weekday, $50 weekend. Twilight hours are $30, and Super-twilight (after 3pm and presumably only 9 holes) are $20. The picturesque, tree-lined, 75-acre course is challenging and fun.
Fishing permits are needed for the lake at $5 per adult (kids are free) in addition to the state permit every adult must have.
