Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Peggy's Cove and surrounding area and, whatever sites we visited, the best part of our vacation was knowing we would return to this welcoming and scenic home. Nicely appointed, clean, quiet, scenic, this restored home was ideal as either a staging location to visit Halifax and surrounding tourist spots or as a quiet home to simply relax the day away. Great restaurants nearby, a professional and helpful owner and property manager if any questions arose, and drop dead gorgeous scenery made this an ideal vacation destination and one we would love to return to one day.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Indian Harbour. The weather was great and we all loved the atmosphere of the house and its surroundings. It was a perfect location! It was very easy to travel to and from Halifax and Lunenburg.... and being so close to Peggy’s Cove made it possible to take a few pictures with no one else in the background!! The view from the deck was beautiful and the house was very neat and clean. The neighbours were very friendly and we really appreciated their suggestions of local restaurants. We will certainly recommend this home to our family and friends.

We loved every day of our stay in this sweet fisherman's cottage. It was just perfect for us in every respect. Of course the location was incredible, both for the view from the deck and for the proximity to Peggy's Cove and Tyer's for our frequent lobster and mussel fix. The owners have done a wonderful job with the rehab and the decor . . . not overdone and very charming. This well appointed and well maintained house felt like home from the very first day. The charm of the house was matched by the charm of the neighbors we met. Tom and Donna represent the property extremely well. They went all out in taking care of us like family. We had a wonderful time with them and with three other sets of neighbors who befriended us as well. Our four week Nova Scotia experience exceeded our extremely high expectations as well as the expectations of the fifteen family and friends from Virginia who were our guests on a weekly rotation. We highly recommend this lovely cottage to others and hope to return to it ourselves one day.

The distance to Peggy's Cove, and the incredible view made this a wonderful place to stay. The woodwork throughout the home made it warm and charming. Very spacious and comfortable, supplied with everything you need for a home away from home. All 6 of us would highly recommend this property. Great if you want to be relatively close to tourist destinations locally, and in Halifax; but also great for peace and quiet, and just relaxing.

We just spent two wonderful weeks at this beautifully equipped Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia gem! The view from each bedroom is just gorgeous. Each bedroom has it own extremely spacious bathroom so we all had our own space! We loved Tea and Treasures restaurant and The Finer Diner! We went twice to the Lobster Dinner in nearby Hubbards at the Shore Club. It is a must go as is the Hubbards Market on Saturday morning. The beaches are great and the whale watching in Lunenburg was breathtaking! My daughter absolutely loved it! My friends and I can't wait to go back! The owner and caretaker were helpful and informative! This is truly a find! I took a picture of the beautiful cottage view for my desk at work so I can go back on those stressful days to our little piece of Heaven! We look forward to staying there again in the future!

We had a great week at this property on the shore of Middle Point Cove in Indian Harbour. Very nicely refurbished house with all the amenities, speedy wireless internet, washer/dryer, DVD player, etc., but truthfully the back deck view was the best thing about the place, we spent many a sunset right there...Plenty of room all around, especially nice big bedrooms and bathrooms. Would have given 5 stars except that the living room furniture was a bit lacking for size and comfort. Don't miss out on the seafood chowder across the street at the Tea and Treasures, and the fresh lobsters down the road at Ryers Seafood. The whole area is a photographer's dream come true, enjoy!!

Just back from 3 incredible weeks @ this beautifully situated, newly restored and renovated old Nova Scotia "fish house". 3 en-suite bedrooms, one on main floor used by my mother who celebrated her 90th b'day July 5. Also a 2 piece in the laundry area for guests. Manager and owners who happened to be in the area couldn't have been more helpful or gracious. Local people warm and unassuming. Many, many day trips, talent in art, carving, quilts, weaving, sculpture etc. abound. Fresh lobster, scallops, haddock, mussels and oysters a 2 minute drive away. The lobster which they will cook and crack for you doesn't even have time to get cold!! Don't miss it! Peggy's Cove not even 5 minutes down the road. Go early. Beat the crowds. We ate in most of the time because we like it but there are lots of restaurants around and Halifax is only about 45 minutes away. Also don't miss Lunenburg. Have used VRBO for years all over England, France, Mexico and the States. Who would think we would find this gem here at home in Canada!!! Thank you all. I'll be back!

The home is quintessential, coastal Nova Scotia. It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is ideal for exploring the area and province. Tom is a great host with immense knowledge to assist in enjoying your stay. We could call it home even though we were on vacation. Thank you for the great opportunity to treasure our time in Peggy’s Cove and Nova Scotia.

We have 3 boys (the twins are 19) with the oldest being 25. The amazing thing is that THEY want to go back! We initially thought, "the boys will be bored," but they loved walking out the back door and ocean fishing! Just up the street was Ryer Lobster that sell fresh lobster or will cook them for you. It was outstanding as we had the sweetest lobsters that we have ever had - at the house! We loved the contrast--one day shopping at Mahone Bay and Lunenberg, the next up in Halifax with all the dockside entertainment. The boys thought that the Citadel was AWESOME! There was a bagpipe competition and the Armory/Museum was a full of artifacts. Also beautiful Peggy's Cove is just up the street from the house. Our rooms were rustic, comfortable and quiet, and best of all they had great waterviews! And if we needed anything we could just go across the street to the neighbors, Tom and Donna. It was a week of rejuvenation. The sunsets were routinely spectacular. The ocean breeze made our sleep especially sound. We'll be back!

We absolutely LOVED this beautifully restored Fisherman's Home in Indian Harbour. The house was wonderful; great comfy beds and more than spacious bathrooms. We wanted a place on the sea with a wonderful view and this place has that and more!! Every spare moment was spent out on the back deck watching birds, watching boats pass, watching the storms approach, watching the sunset.......all spectacular. Tom and Donna and all the other locals we met couldn't have been nicer and definitely enhanced our cherished memories of our week at Indian Harbour. We found beautiful beaches within an hours drive and lovely villages to poke around in, all the while enjoying charming Nova Scotian hospitality. We highly recommend this home and with definitely be back. Thanks so much.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, spacious home near Peggy's Cove. The home was wonderful and the three VERY large bedrooms/baths definitley met our needs. The sunsets were indeed fantastic and ALL of the neighbors were absolutely great - friendly, helpful, and very eager to share their pride and love of the area. Tom was especially delightful as he greeted us upon our arrival. Wish we could have stayed in the area longer but we will definitely be going back. It is very easy to understand how you could have fallen in love with this area of Nova Scotia. Many thanks!
